Thanks guys. I think we'll do fine. I have a ton of snacks and drinks and changes of clothes packed out and ready to go. I'm kind of sad, because I'm just taking the little point and shoot camera and not my big nice one. I just know I wouldn't be able to manage it with the 2 kids so I had to make some concessions. My best friend and I had a LONG conversation about it and she basically told me I was an idiot if I tried to haul that camera with the kids in tow. She's usually right, so I'm leaving it at home. The weather should be nice so hopefully it won't be packed and we can have some fun!

what?!?!? what rumors?!?! don't make me wade through deals thread twatwaffles!!!! Please

hmmmmm...

OMG!! I'm so glad you are okay hug We don't have them but we don't have furnaces, gas lines, etc. here. I hope you guys found the leak!
Several people posted having their coupons adjusted down, I assume manually, because of some sort of prompt or another. However, I can only assume they do not shop Ninja like we do, and the cashiers are noticing the overage on different items. That's my theory, anyway!

Quote from dreemedayze :
So I went tonight to get my sonicare toothbrush and it said "if item is in purchase accept anyway" and he hit k1. Then it asked for the price and he entered 25.00. Then he voided it, read the coupon, and said it wasn't the flex model. Annoyed

I got the Sonicare Essence one in the white box for 37.99. Did I get the wrong one? I could swear someone said it does say "flex" somewhere on the box but I couldn't find it.

95% of the toys in those pics were the target 75% off a few months back when I was slamming SA.
Believe it or not, my Sonicare coupons scanned beep-free at $25/ea tonight! Faint I don't know if it was a right barcode thing or what, but those suckers scanned right through. I have NEVER had a 00 do that at Target. I was happy it did, though, because the cashier was brand spankin' new and might very well have gotten nervous if she had to type anything in like that. And this was on the Sonicare Essence.

Oh my, prayers for you indeed!! Are you planning on being there the whole day? That would be so much fun, but stressful, as well.

So my "circuit" shopping trip ended up being one Kohls and one Target and one Starbucks. But I can't complain. Had a STC run at T where all coupons scanned as expected, except the Sonicare as mentioned above. The cashier AND the customer behind me in line were anxiously watching the total to see how much I would save... Yikes!! Hubby, being the helpful soul he is, said, "Oh, she does this at grocery stores, too!!" Although he has been known to say the most awkward things, that statement actually made the cashier more comfortable, because I think she was getting a little nervous. All in all, I did very well, and now have enough pajamas to outfit a small army. Evil I love those flannel sleep pants, though. Those are mine!!

And a funny thing at Starbucks - I was getting the BOGO 1-lb bags of Christmas blend, and trying to use the MFQs on them. No go. shake head Apparently their register is set up to only accept one discount at a time. The barista tried every which way to get it to work, but each discount would kick out the other. Oh well. $13.xx for 2lbs of yummy Christmas blend beans is a slick deal, still. Especially considering they're both gifts, so two more items crossed off my list!!

thanks for the low-down. hopefully your theory is right, and it sounds about right especially among the "sky is falling" crowd who haven't learned the art of flying under the radar Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

oh, and at Publix I found a stack of $2 MQ for Starbucks 12oz bags or larger. At Target I grabbed a Via 3-pack (on sale for $2.50 this week) along with the big bags of vanilla infused and the coupon attached....The exp date is 12/15/10. HTH Smilie

Not yet. I'm hoping it comes tomorrow so I can play with it over the weekend. It did bill to my Discover card, so I almost believe that it is really coming.

I bought a few Sonicare on one transaction. First 2 mq came up INF then prompted for price, 3rd auto deducted $25, 4th did the INF/prompt for price.

Sleepwear beeped on everything. Suave beeped on everything even the conditioner that is over $1.

Do you suppose it is reading the second barcode? That's the only reason I can think of that it would deduct the appropriate amount without cashier intervention. In which case it gives me hope that the new barcode isn't quite as "rigid" as we had thought...

I am in the process of baking my daughter's birthday cake. We are doing the Cinderella princess cake. It looks like its fairly easy to do a pretty phenomenal cake, so we shall see. I am as beginner as they come, and not the least bit creative. Here's hoping it turns out well!!!

hello chatterboxes. this twatwaffle has been out of commission for the past couple of days, swamped with life and aches. but here i am... ready to twattle.

Also have a tearpad of 1/1 Laughing Cow cheese if anyone is looking. We don't buy this but I recall some of you do
we eat them with celery and carrots. great for those dieting. recommended by the nutritionist, too, cos you get some calcium, get to indulge your love of cheese some (though not like eating a plate full of artisanal cheeses) and it's low-cal.

no lectures on ethics, but here's one on security...
if you're surfing on unsecured wifi near a motel/from a motel, DO NOT use it to do any online shopping or such. because your credit card numbers, financial info, passwords etc are all open and available to anyone else.

hope you're having a good trip!

Thrifty - Glad you guys made it out safe...

Day before yesterday night ..We went out, closed the doors, checked arnd the house and everything was fine...

Now that I think about it we did not make wise decisions...We should have stayed inside, never switched off the alarm and waited for the security agency to contact us...I don't even want to think about if there was someone really inside the house...
thrifty, glad you're safe! thanks for reminder, need to replace batteries in our alarms.
mamaoftwins2, that is SCARY. when we were little, mum had a routine every night - before she went to bed she checked all the locks on the front doors, plus the windows around the house. daddy used to tease her about it. but then one night, while mum was away on a biz trip, we had an intrusion attempt and he learned that mum's right! so we grew up ingrained with that habit. now before bed, the door always gets checked. and the windows/doors get checked before we leave the house at any time of the day.

for anyone that has BB and doesn't know what to do with it, they have great wrapping paper around the hols. as well as, boxed holiday cards, but also all year around usage boxed cards, including great thank you cards. they also have fun, intelligent small toys for kids that could make great stocking stuffers. and calendars, too.

i'm really behind in my reading... and writing.... so i'm glad you mentioned this.
i think the people in deals are onto something, unfortunately.
was at T day before yesterday. went to a seeming jedi, young guy.
used a q for what i don't remember, then next one was the olay/secret q. he looked and paused and hesitated. i had a large order with 50-70 things in it. he scrolled up. called manager. i said i bought both things. she was in hurry, so she said if customer got both things then yes put q through. he tried asking a few times, but but but can she use the q if it is worth ... i cut him off each time. Coverlaugh
manager said, i told you if she bought both then yes she is fine. if anyone tells you anything, blame it on me. she walked away. Big Grin
he quietly put them through and said i'm sorry i wanted to check because last time i did this i got into trouble. i casually asked why. he said, i don't because i guess people are doing fraud or something like that, i don't know... his voice trailed off.
i didn't clarify further.

then yesterday i stopped by a different, closer by T to do a missed coupon on a c9 pant using a c9 hangtag. i had forgotten to take the hangtags with me when i bought the pant, and it was a 19.99 pant. CS girl said it is more than 2 days so system won't let you do it. she insisted it wouldn't. i urged her to try it and she said T has gotten really strict with coupons lately and this knew rule just came about a few days ago, because people were doing fraudulent stuff with qs. then she looked and said oh this is a TQ, not an mq so maybe it will work. i urged her again to try and sure enough the system took the q!

she gave me my money back and said "you know i don't know why T is so difficult with qs. it's stupid. other stores just take em. i used q's too, and i find it very annoying how it happens at T. i just work here, so I don't care, i'm not taking their side. i've stopped shopping with qs here myself." EEK!

could just be coincidences, but having heard change of policy/new strictness refrains from two seemingly laidback and pleasant young people at two different Ts, it made my radar go up and made me think something unpleasant is brewing at the corp level.

love, your friendly neighborhood booby twatwaffle.

Ham!!! Big Grin

It will just be our little family on Christmas this year, which I am happy and sad about. That means we get to do our own thing, have our own traditions, not be tied in with anyone else, but it also means the loud, bustling celebration that we normally have will be much quieter. It also means I get to cook the dinner all by myself! I definitely think I will do a ham, because I love ham, far more than turkey. However, one year my sister did a seafood feast, and I think that might be nice, too. Probably will depend on money, in the end! Although, hams can be just as expensive as seafood!!

I wish I had the energy to get to Sbux today- their espresso Christmas blend is fantastic. I actually put my Keurig to the side to brew this all week yummy

Since no other deals were applicable, do you know if you were still getting the free tall drink wyb a pound? I'm assuming they'll have another coffee promo, just curious how it'll work.

You want mine? I could find about a million things at Borders, but it's not worth the gas to get there, let alone while we're loading up the truck.
