Ours are out in the garage, DH knows where they are, or so he says. I just told him and said go get them so we can put them up (I have ask him to do it several times!) he said, "meh.... they are old, old technoligy. Go the the fire station and ask for new ones, they will probably give them to you for free."
I got rainchecks for them yesterday, they had the pad out because they were already out of them
A friend did a test when we told him-ran his car with the detector plugged in next to the exhaust-no alarm or high reading.

My oldest daughter for Carbon Mon poisoning years ago when she was 2 or 3 when she went on a trip & no one in the car noticed that they all had BRIGHT RED faces and pounding headaches ... they noticed when they arrived back at home and she wouldn't wake up ... I was called at work to tell me that they couldn't wake her up ... I had heart failure and told them to call 911!!! She ended up being fine after being in the hosp a couple of days on oxygen.
I love Wegmans, too. If money was no issue, I would shop there all the time. I love the atmosphere, the selection, the prices, everything. Compared to the other stores in our area, Wegmans is head and shoulders above the competition.
I am so excited - got my sisters lined up to watch the kiddos tomorrow night, so hubby and I are going on a date of - CIRCUIT SHOPPING!!! He was so excited when I told him ... NOT!
btw, if you guys are donating and near a Chick fil a, see if they're giving away chicken sandwiches for each toy donated- 2 here are doing it
DH told his team at work that if they all bonused that he'd bring them cheesecake. Well... they all bonused. I just figured out that I am currently committed to at least 6 cheesecakes for this month.

Was just listening to Talk of the Nation on NPR. They had a speaker talking about bullying and its effects on people into their adult life. It was very interesting and some of the callers and e-mails practically brought me to tears. Some of them might have well been channeling my own feelings and long term effects in life.
I'm a short fair-skinned redhead and was bullied up until college. My mothers advice growing up had been to grin and bear it until the bullies got bored and gave up. Sadly that advice never worked and worse it just reinforced a tendency to not stand up for myself and has led to my being in relationships and jobs where I allow people to walk over me.
It was sad to hear how many others have felt that it has effected them similarly in life.
