I will never forget the time dd was a baby and they came out of there so fast and loud that it scared her half to death. She was just innocently sitting on the floor in our living room playing (and by this time had heard it a million times before) and the look on her face was one of distraught horror and fear at the sound because it was so sudden.
The plus side is that our home insurance premiums are lower because we are so close that in the event of a fire they'd be right there.
We split up our santa gifts about half and half....I like to do themes based on what I have for toys. This year we got dd a lot of Thomas stuff and a bunch of play animals from the T. toy clearance so that is from us and the misc. stuff is from Santa along with the Tag. Jr. TS3 and books. Then her bday is in Feb. and I have stuff set aside plus whatever I find at the Jan. clearance....and then I go from there. Kinda weird with her bday so close to Christmas ya know?
i sat in the driver's seat for the next 3 hours, wrapping.
It does bring to mind one last minute assembly. We always had Christmas Eve at hubbys and at that time it usually went kind of late. Got home, kicked off the shoes, put kid to bed, needed to assemble a wagon. Panty hose came off next. Ever try to sit on a bed in a skirt and assemble a wagon? Off went the skirt. I hate clothes. So, little by little, off they went. So, here we were, pretty much naked, assembling a wagon, with a giant tub of vaseline on the bed to lubricate the wagon stuff.

Oh geez GT, new years would be even worse! I have a friend with a son whose bday is around then too and they've been known to celebrate it in like June or so when it is warm and nice out

Okay, I decided to keep my DD up.. We played in the bath tub for 45 minutes.. got dressed and painted all her fingers and toes.. she loves nail polish. She is so funny cause she likes the glitter topcoat kind of polish, but instead of saying sparkles, she says she wants "sprinkles" on her toes
. We decided to stay home since I haven't been feeling well and it is so cold here. (maybe not cold to you guys, but cold for us) all wear hoodie type jackets during the winter:

Windy and cold here (for SC at least) My heater decided to die last night and I woke up to 30* in my house this morning. brrrrr. Off to get some space heaters tonight.
DD had her last OB appt. She lost her plug this am and has dilated to 3 cm so she doesn't have to go in tonight for cervadil I am praying that she continues dilating and goes into full labor before they have to give her pitocin.
Can't believe it's here and I'm gonna have a granddaughter to spoil :

Water was backing up in our utility sink again....we had to call back the same ppl we had here last week to correct the problem. Seems to be fixed now :

If you have any more problems, buy this thing at the hardware store called a drain King , hubby says he got one for about ten dollars. love2bee, I don't wrap stocking stuffers either. At this point, I have nothing wrapped OR under the tree because either, a, the cats will wreck it, b, monkey toddler the imaginative will wreck it. He was pulling wrapped presents out of packages before I mailed them and unwrapping the paper.
And to my SS, I have not mailed your gift. I'm waiting for a personalized item to arrive and then mail everything at once. I hope to mail it by Friday. Sorry it's so late.
