Woman in a Government car is a lunatic. With pics!

J3ff 4,201 837 January 28, 2011 at 12:12 PM in Chat (3)
Long story short I'm sitting at a red light that has a left turn lane ONLY that is to my left of course.

Light turns green I go straight.

I make it 100% of the way through the intersection, when all of a sudden there is a PRIUS hood at my drivers side window....GOING MY DIRECTION!!! Scared the **** out of me! The car is on the wrong side of a busy road (1pm on a Friday)...

I lay on the horn and slow down to let in this lunatic.

The person gets infront of me.......and what to do I see???

How's my driving?? on her bumper!! It has a website (which I can probably figure out) on it!! I start to smile.

The light infront of us turns red, it is red for at least a full second before we get to it......My window is down and I'm mouthing the words "I'm going to report you"

She says something back that I have no idea what it was and she ran the red light. She then got onto the highway.

Well guess what, 95 always has traffic after 11am on Friday's. I had NO PROBLEM catching up to her.

Here's the pic I got (we were actually moving and I was holding up the center lane by snapping this, I didn't want to be too much of a dick and slow others down so I kept going).

Here's a diagram that is an accurate depiction of where things happened. She got in my lane JUST as we got to the train bridge.

I just finished a complaint with pictures included and wrote that I want her removed from driving a state owned car. My tax dollars paid for her to cut me off, endanger MY LIFE and the life of the other people in the oncoming direction.

Obviously she was able to safely move over using her method. You would have her stop and wait in oncoming traffic while God knows how many cars behind you passed. And given how short it is to the next light, the area could fill up leaving her stranded there. And for her courtesy to you, she runs the risk of getting hit head-on by a speeding, texting driver.

But yeah, go ahead and think that your idea was so much better.
dude you have NO farkING IDEA what you are talking about.

What she did was NOT SAFE at all. She scared the SHIT out of me being on the left side of my car when I was not expecting it. And then for her to cut me off, making me slow down was also NOT safe.

You will NOT win this argument. The SAFEST THING TO DO when you realize you are in the wrong place is STOP YOUR farkING CAR and let others adjust around you.

The way she went about it caused her to Drive for 50-60 feet down the wrong side of the road and cut me off.

You're farking ridiculous if you think that's the SAFER thing to do. What dumbass driving school did you go to.

Until I read "Prius" I thought it might have been Michele Bachmann due to the word "lunatic".

Then I also remembered you said "woman", which meant it couldn't be Bachmann, because that would indicate that she's human. laugh out loud

Crylol You're here, talking to us and showing us pictures of her after the incident, so I have some idea of what I'm talking about.

Yeah, two things:

A) Driving in oncoming traffic isn't safe. I know this. But once you are, the course of actions that gets you out of oncoming traffic as quickly as possible without crashing or causing anyone to crash is the safest way to resolve the situation. I didn't think I'd have to explain that one...

B) Who knows if you actually needed to slow down or not. Based on the skills you've displayed here, you're probably one of those people that keeps 5+ second gaps and slams on the brakes at the mere sight of brake lights in front of you. Many people forget that in a situation like yours, she already has the speed advantage and thus you're not really in that bad of a situation.

Only because I'm arguing with a idiot. You're probably going to beat with me with experience.

No genius. The best idea is not to sit and wait in oncoming traffic to get smashed into by a string of cars, sending you into the cars on your right. The best solution, since there was hardly any traffic was to speed up and get in front of you, which she executed without incident, save for you blowing the whole thing out of proportion.

So she drove 1-1.5 seconds in oncoming traffic and cut you off. Yeah, not the best thing to do. But better than sitting there like Frogger waiting to get hit. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

The one that has gotten me out of the way of morons like you and no at-fault accidents.

Ever.

Steve Gibson on password policies [grc.com]: I mean, I don't get this change it every eight weeks. ... It's not as if passwords are traveling by camel after they've been stolen, going to the bad guys, and so there's, like, some weird eight-week window, like, oh, we're going to change your password so that the stale password no longer works. ... And all this does is make IT people despised because users, who are not dumb, they think, why am I - why do I have to do this? What problem is this solving?

Or she could have hit the brakes, and waited it out in the middle of the intersection.

Much safer for everyone than nailing the gas.

I own three cars, this lexus a camaro and a bronco. I'm not a wimpy driver. I fly planes, own a boat and a jetski. I'm a VERY GOOD operator of vehicles. None of them have been in accidents, ever.

I'm done with this lounge bullshit with keyboard cowboys who think they know everything.

Fark you buddy.

Yes, that's obviously the safest thing to do. But, unlike you, we don't have psychic powers and don't know exactly when she realized her mistake. Your posts in this thread don't exactly impart a sense of trust.

I'm sorry, I guess I should have said she should have had her license revoked, fired, forced to repay all of your tax dollars and then be shot.

Would that make you feel better? Comfort

Ah good for you. I am so glad that owning more than one of something makes you an expert and bumps you to SUPER power status. I own more than one pair of shoes, I must be a runway model and fashion expert. I have more than one type of vegetable in my refrigerator, therefore I am a food connoisseur and expert in all veg-related topics.

You are the one who keeps changing the story and conveniently leaving out little tidbits. See my response above that you seemed to have skimmed over.

Oh and before you think you are such a vehicle expert, you should probably buy better cars Grin

You are sadly mistaken and hating on your fellow man.

The other driver consciously chose to drive on the wrong side of the road, at a busy time of day and then cut me off.

The light ahead turned red, I was coming to a stop and was not making any noise when I was mouthing the words "I'm going to report you"

I then sat at the red light that she ran for a good 30 seconds. I then got on the highway normally, and drove normal speeds for a Friday afternoon. I had my camera ready to go incase I saw her.

About 1-2 mins later I did see her in the slow lane. I was in the middle lane. I got ready and slowed down just a hair pressed the camera button and sped back up.

I said I DIDN'T want to SLOW DOWN and get behind her because that would have held up my lane.

Conclusion: you are a keyboard cowboy who makes assumptions and can't 100% comprehend a story.
so a driver makes a mistake, she panics, you be a douchebag, she gets scared, you take it out on her by continuing to follow her? you're taking what was probably a mistake pretty personally. I doubt she went through the left turn just to drive on the wrong side of the road and cut you off. and I'm sure you've never done anything wrong. aside from the texting violation taking the picture, anyway Wink

I'm sorry officer, I didn't know that speeding is illegal. I thought it's a suggested speed Huh
oddly enough, in Oregon, all the signs say 'speed XX' rather than speed limit. in Oregon, the law is such that the officer has to prove your speed is unsafe. not that you can drive whatever you want and argue that its safe, but it is more involved than just going past a speed limit violation in other states.

How farking stupid are you?

How am I being a douchebag?

facts:
I SLOWED DOWN AND LET HER COME OVER.
I DID NOT run the red light and harass her.
I DID NOT speed to catch up to her
I WAS going home - taking the same route she was.
I saw her car WAY up ahead and without taking my eyes off the road launched my camera mode.

I snapped a pic without even looking at the phone screen. I just aimed and pushed the take picture button.

If anyone is a douchebag it's you and these other 2 people who like to make things up out of thin air. Get a life.

I didn't make anything up. In fact, I proved that your picture was bogus and that she didn't drive as dangerously as you made her out to be.

In fact, you're the one here making stuff up:

At the end of a long day, there's really nothing more satisfying than knowing that there is yeast living in a bucket in your basement, farting out alcohol for you to drink.

Funny thing is that he happens to be an expert about this kind of matter, at least IMO. So I think that you would get the point when people are pointing out obvious flaws in your side of this supposed "event" that happened. But no, you just assume a whole farking lot about the whole issue. There is something seriously wrong with you.

Exactly. I went and read his entire series of his side of the story more than once and found a lot of holes, and even pointed it out, but he never acknowledged that either. Seriously, either he is trolling for the hell of it or there is something aloof. It scares me when there are people in this world with that much pent up anger and they are allowed to not only drive, but apparently fly planes and jet ski Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) I am not safe by land, sea or air. Jesus save us.

The next post will be from either a roadside rest stop (since the restaurant didn't have wifi) or from a hospital bed ...
