My best cheating experience was in Jr. High. I worked together with the guy sitting next to me to discreetly flip the pages of the text book between us to the right page so we could look up the answers. This was history, which was the only subject I really struggled with.
laugh out loud I have good stories too... but I'll save those for another day.

I babysat but didn't get my first actual job until the week before my 16th birthday and they only would hire me then because my first paycheck wouldn't come until I was officially 16.

It was on the floor and we were using our feet. Don't know why we thought that was discreet, but it worked until another girl snitched on us. Mad

Well, his work skills are lacking at this point, too. He's skipped chores. He's also been ignoring his bedtime. Free ride is over. I don't care if I have to be a jailer. It's over. He had the opportunity to do stuff for the school that would have looked good on college apps and he screwed around and messed it up. This summer, he could have made extra money mowing yards, but he decided xbox was more important.

Exactly.
You go mom! You are the parent and he is the child. You have established your expectations and rules of your home. If he is not doing his job of a student then he gets the mom smackdown!

Different field, but if I get something that's mundane/stupid/tedious/boring at work, I tend to be here more often and take my time with the assignment (but still get it done within time limits)

If i get something that actually challenges me/interests me, you wont see me here at all
laugh out loud

I got my first job at 14 too... well first legal job, I did under the table data entry for people my parents knew since I was like 12 laugh out loud

Frown COBRA is retroactive to the date of termination. He can go have the chemo, but he'll have to be reimbursed for it.

I'm sorry Frown

Do they make him pay as he gets the pills (or chemo...I don't know if chemo is pills or if they have to hook you up or what). When I had my spider bite and had to go to the hospital and all that we were waiting for Cobra to kick in. The hospital just billed us and by then Cobra finally kicked in and paid for most of it. Maybe you can work out something with the hospital and give them the Cobra info (that's what we did) so they can see that he will be covered/is covered.

I really have no idea how it works. All I know is he's really upset but not telling me Frown You can just tell.

And chemo is like an IV that goes into a port in your chest, but he's on the chemo pill right now which is newer

That sucks. hug

Without details, does he think the dismissal had anything to do with the illness?
