Christina Aguilera messes up the National Anthem lyrics at the Superbowl

Does anyone else think she looked a little drunk/high? She definitely looked a little off.

"The first big goof of the Super Bowl was not committed by the Green Bay Packers or Pittsburgh Steelers. No, credit the first mistake to Christina Aguilera who botched the lyrics to the national anthem!

Sure the players were nervous as the success of an entire season came down to 60 minutes of football. But Aguilera recently stated she's been singing the national anthem since she was a little girl – so no one expected her to goof!

The singer's mistake happened on the fourth line, which should have been: "O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?" Instead, Christina sang: "What so proudly we (garbled) at the twilight's last gleaming."

It's not so much that I hate the "artistic stuff", sometimes being creative is good and you can create something quite good. But this isn't the first time around the block for our national anthem. I think it's been established that the classic arrangement is by far superior to anything else, singers should just stick to it. The best anthem I ever heard was Whitney Houston at Super Bowl 25, and she stuck to the classic arrangement and sung the bejeus out of it. You don't have to change things to make them amazing.

Christina is the least whorish of them all IMO. Her videos and performances are the most raunchy but not her private life (relatively speaking). She's a far cry from the Britneys and Lindsays of the world.

Nothing wrong with either of those but my personal favorite performance of the anthem was by the Dixie Chicks in 2003. They may have the political views of lunatic nutjobs but this performance still gives me chills.

Simple, not overly showy, but absolutely beautifully sung. Their harmony was amazing. I agree bunny. That is a wonderful performance.

Ridiculous. So she's a whore because of the boundaries she pushes on stage? Is Beyonce a "whore" too? She's probably the most respectable of all the pop stars out there. It's not like her life is a train wreck, her personal life is pristine by Hollywood standards. There's a huge difference between CA and those who's entire lives are a mess like Lohan and Spears.
