Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

yeah I called samsung support also and my tech said that this netbook model was not entered into thier system yet - he said it takes some time to get a new model into thier system .. he said he's pretty sure it will use DDR3 and not DDr2 like the other models because he thinks this one may have a newer processor in it and he said it may also be able to access 4 MB but then again maybe not -- He suggested waiting until it gets put into thier system to be sure of the specs. He said he had got like 4 other calls on this same netbook and couldn't help because of lack of specs in system - I told him he better get brass to get spec inputed because he will be getting more and more calls as time goes on... But as SYSGal said the other day its for sure DDR 3 now the question is will it handle 4 g or not ????

I saw that with the Dentyne thing, where you can only win once. With my win that's okay, but it sucks with the 1.29 win. I'm still waiting for the card, I think it said 4-6 weeks.

The 8gb card isn't working in Linux either, so I guess it's a hardware/BIOS issue. It sees the card but says it isn't formatted but formatting fails.

I don't think I love Ubuntu Netbook, so I'll probably switch over to straight Ubuntu or Xubuntu. Probably not tonight though. Wink I haven't played with Xubuntu in a while, but I can dual-boot the desktops so I may just load both. I'll download the iso's tonight and use unetbootin to create a bootable USB drive.
