Would any of the Valentine players get upset if you got your box early??? Like way early? Like next week? I have challenged DH to have a NO SPEND FEBRUARY...it is the shortest month of the year and we can only spend $50 on groceries...hopefully we will use up most of our stockpile. Gas...no trips over 50 miles. Regular bills. No eating out. No internet buying (please no good deals happen in Feb!) and I am feeling a little guilty about spending money on postage in Feb...unless I can buy it now and not send it until late Feb??? Any ideas?
If you have me I would not mind and would do my best to not open the box, but I make no promises on that!! I Hope you can have a no spend February!!! I'd heart to try that, but I think I'd fail!! But you can do it!!

Morning all...

Dh is feeling much better but my bug went from the upper down into the lower...OMG I can't catch a break with this crap...no pun intended

Needless to say I will not be seeing mom today. Whatever I have i certainly don't want her to catch. My friend is keeping a good eye and my sis is going to stop to see her today.

I am going to attempt the grocery store. Need some supplies especially bananas and bread.

We are suppose to have a major storm starting late afternoon with many possible tornados so not sure if I can get back on later.

Hope everyone has a great day...

I guess while I'm talking about my son, I should mention that he started college last week. It's been a little bit of a rough start as we both thought he was registered for his auto repair classes, but really wasn't. The woman had written down his schedule but he was supposed to lock them in online. So the day before class was supposed to start, I went online to pay for the classes and saw he wasn't registered. The classes were filled up so he has to start with 4 academics which I know is going to be extremely difficult for him. He was classified with a learning disability from 2nd grade thru 12th and now he's doing college without an iep. I'm really worried about that but this is so important. His sentancing is supposed to be 1/31 (I have heard this may change though) He's done wonderfully meeting all requirements and if they give him probation he will have to do whatever they require as far as weekly drug tests, meeting a probation officer and still go 2x a week to iop and the other 5 days to a na meeting. I know there will be a time that he is going to feel overwhelmed and that scares me. I just keep telling him how lucky he is to have this opportunity to go to college and get well and have a family that totally supports him. Everybody has offered him help as far as school. I just hope he can get thru this semester and then the next one get his auto repair classes that I know he would do great in. He would have had to take the academics anyway at the end of the program which would have been better for him since he would be settled into his new routine. He could definatly benefit from some prayers. Prayers that his sentencing goes well and he gets probation and prayers that he can successfully make it thru this semester with as little fustration as possible.

I don't get in on any of the drugstore freebies, so would love drugstore kind of stuff like make-up, hair conditioner and styling products, combs/brushes, chapstick, dental floss, nail polish, bug spray, bug bite sticks, Venus type and Mach 3 type razors for men and women, and always need Ibuprofin (Motrin) for baby, child and adult! We go through tons of ibuprofin and Tylenol at our house, and other first aid stuff like hydrocortisone cream and Neosporin. If you got in on the Triaminic thin strips deal from Walgreens, I would love those- we used the allergy and the cold and cough ones on the boys, and they were so much easier to use than liquid meds. And batteries- we go through so many batteries! I also am in love with the Stamps.com make your own stamps from the Walgreens clearance stamp boxes.
26. Anything your secret giver should know?: That I love them! And that I would be totally happy with anything that was sent to me. I think the most fun part of this is in the gathering and sending, and then to actually get a goody box myself is icing on the cake! I have been so happy and thankful for every box that's been sent to me in these exchanges! And my guys love getting their box even more than I do!

Sorry you're feeling yucky also. Blankies work wonders sometimes
Dh is still feeling poorly but not as bad as me. His is in the lower gastro and mine is upper.
I think we kinda figured out it might have been something we ate when we went out for my birthday dinner. It's strange otherwise that both of us would be sick at the same time.

BTW...Our son (purebred) I did not pick him. He picked me
Our daughter (purebred) I did not pick her...Dh went to the pet store to buy fish for our pond. Called me to say...Please bring furboy to the store to see if they like each other. The furgirl kept kissing dh and he would not leave without her

Totally worth it in my book..
My blankie did help some...a schnauzer kiss would've probably made it all better quicker thought. Today, I feel better but still sound awful. Now it's the coughing that's yucky!
And, you're right, it's TOTALLY worth it. Love the story of how you got your babies!

now I need to be a bit more sappy My step~son leaves to go back to Iraq tomorrow so if I could ask again for prayers for his safety and prayers for his young wife, We didn't get to see him when he/they came home so it is sadder this time around.

Thank you all
I'm so sorry you didn't get to see him but will definitely keep him in prayers for a safe return and for his wife.

Unfortunately, I don't think anyone can tell you that...you have to learn it by yourself! Wink

I need to update mine, too! With PINK!!! I just looked at it, and realized I listed everything I could think of, since I was trying to find something that my secret person would have, but I was wondering if it comes across as greedy. I was just trying to list everything I could think of, since you never know what a person could have in their stashes, but I hope nobody thinks I'm a greedy slobbery freeloader! I am incredibly happy with any box I get- I really like sending them better than getting them!
But we heart greedy slobbery freeloaders around here! nod

She was just asking me if I wanted something that came in the durex kit lol I guess he didn't see Laurens durex kit because the conversation got even odder as we drove. He knew durex referred to condoms but didn't realize they sell other products as well. He was wondering how she was going seperate the gel and the condom and why on earth would we want to do that. He knows I like to save money and thought this was going to far. I guess it was the way it was worded. hahaha Do I want the arousel gel from the durex. Definatly one of the most awkward drives and conversation I've ever had with my son. Just to try and set an example about texting and driving!

Tried the Clairol thingy on FB and kept clicking until it came up and already gone...WOW!

I am working on a new hat for Lily. The pattern is all single crochets, so I think its going to take forever! laugh out loud I did a bunch yesterday, but then thought it wasn't looking right, so I pulled it all out and will try again today! Smilie

I have also been searching the internet for good crochet patterns (preferably free ones Wink) but its taking some time! Oh well, that is whats been going on with me lately Smilie

I'm missing my big slobbery freeloader SF friends!!!!!! Here's a big hug for everyone of you! Grouphug

Life is super crazy here still and probably will be until the end of March. We have to have some sort of permanent pharmacy plan in place by 3/31. 3/31 happens to be my 10th anniversary and DH and I were planning a trip but there is no way I can be gone from work for more than a day or so right now. So we are putting that off for awhile. Maybe by summer we'll be able to get away. I have to take DD to her Rheumatology check on Thursday and that will be my first day off since my boss passed away so I'm hoping things go pretty easy for everyone while I'm gone. My online classes started last week so I've been busy at night on homework. Trying to get caught up on the T thread for my shopping on Thursday but haven't gotten very far on that Frown

I'm caught up on this thread but am sure I can't remember everything I wanted to say to you all, but here's what I can remember for now..............

L143 - Congrats on the condo, hope the move goes smoothly for you with that! Keep the wedding updates coming, I'm enjoying reading about your plans and stresses as well!

Toffi - The star bedding is adorable & a PERFECT price! Will keep an eye out on Thursday for anything cute that might match.

Ariel - You don't look that big in the picture, I agree with whoever said the other woman looked bigger. You look just fine for how far along you are. Loved the crochet hat for Lily! I'm jealous of your garage sales this time of year. I have to wait until May for it to be warm enough for garage sales here. Frown

Kootz - So sorry you and Mr. Kootz have been so sick. Sucky when you have it from one end and then the other. Special orders from Dr. ZM: Take two cookies and feel better in the morning!

Dawn & Rach - I'm no mother earth either. I guess there are some crazy hormones and other things adoptive mothers could do to be able to BF an adopted infant. But, I was doing good to make it through the day without having to worry about if I was providing enough milk for a baby. I read once about all the steps an adoptive mother would have to take to BF and there was so much to do that I don't think you'd ever have time to even hold the baby because you'd be too busy taking hormones, drinking herbal potions and stimulating the breasts!!! Anyway, Snowy and others said the same things I think about the whole thing - your babies aren't going to remember if they wore cloth or disposable, if they drank out of a boob or a bottle they are going to remember that you loved them dearly. And in my opinion, if bottle feeding and using disposable diapers makes you stress out less as a mother then that is the best thing you can do for your babies. Less stress means a happier mommy!

Rach - Sorry about the colic, I hope you are able to find something to help soothe her tummy. hug

Do you have buying coupons in the exclusion list????? Does this mean no walgreens???
Already being on the no spend budget.....it isn't very fun. Using Kohls coupons keeps me sane.
There are repairs that are not being done....simple things that we can do w/o or use duct tape.
