Ditto on the snow day. But it is more like an ice day because I don't think the snow is ideal for sledding or playing.

Our state has declared an emergency but our school is still open Mad My hubby thinks I should send them and then pick them up early if it starts to get bad....but then I'm driving out in the muck....I'm thinking I'm gonna keep them home...

It all comes down to money...if they close, they get less money from the state and/or federal goverment....Its a Mommy snow day!! My kids are NOT going out in this!!


Hey Snowie, do your fabric stores have cotton Steelers prints? My friends are huge Steelers fans and she sews, wants to make a table drape and can't find anything local here....was wondering if you could send her a yard? Let me know. Thanks!

I could do it if you need one from OK. When does it need to be there? I won't be out for a few days and I don't think we'll be getting mail out/in for a couple of days. Our snow totals are rising. I think we're at least 10" now. Schools out, businesses are closed, etc.

Seriously? I don't blame you. That's ridiculous. If the state declared an emergency, then the school's should be closed. Ours made the decision last night to close when the storm was still just a possibility and the roads were dry. Looking out my window now--it was a good call!

Looks like Doone and I will be going shopping on Thursday ( hopefully). We are trying to sort through the deals today sonce she is snowed in and I don't have anyone here to bug me. Anything good or semigood goning on that someone can fill us in? we are looking at T WM Wags and the mall.

well we dont get q's here anymore so i dont know much, but i did happen upon the blue scrubbing bubbles power sprayers on clearance at t for 3.12. They paired very nicely with the $3 off printable on coupon.comSmilie T also had all of the nature99 (windex, SB, toilet cleaner) clearanced for around $1. Those would be nice with q's if you had them.

It may be spring before I get to go shopping again! Snow still coming down. Roads pretty much impassable. Telling everyone to stay indoors. Did I ever mention that I HATE winter? I took some pictures through the windows but they don't do it justice.

Okay, where's "home" for you? If it wasn't for these 2 grandkids/DS living here in this town, as soon as DH retired, I'd be so outta here and much farther south. I just heard a new name for my state--Snowklahoma! laugh out loud And, someone on FB said this is "snowmageddon"! I'm just so thankful we still have the electricity, TV and internet. I'd be going nuts by now.

Well I was a military brat (Scratchchin Do you ever really stop being a military brat?!? Confused) so in my childhood I lived in San Diego, Chicago and then Great Falls, Mt. I lived in SD and GF most of my childhood, so I consider them home. I only have distant family left in SD, but I do have some good friends there still. So I consider GF my home. I hated the winters though! I LOVED SD weather (how could you not?!), so its hard to compete with them! laugh out loud Thankfully I am in a lovely area now (northern Cali) that is a nice in between of SD and GF. Not only in weather, but also scenery, distance, and attractions. I truly love it here! heart

My dad retired to GF and most of his side of the family is there. Every time I go home, I am begged to move home, by everyone. I tell them its not happening! I couldn't do the winters. laugh out loud My heart momma Junie has researched all the areas and decided that Spokane would be a good compromise. Its an 8 hour drive, so not too far, but a big enough city for me! She even said she could drive and pick up the kids every weekend for us! Gotta love that Junie!! Heart My daddy promised me if I had twins, they would move here, but no suck "luck" laugh out loud Though my brother does say that I am going to be surprised when the "triplet boys" are born. He insists all the US are wrong LMAO
