I'm bored too. DH is out of town, 2 of 3 kiddos are sleeping, last one is still doing homework.....gggrrrrrr.....teenagers, I'm drinking vodka and diet pepsi (was never rocking hot so that's not a problem here!) and finally watching "Toddlers & Tiaras" after hearing so much about it on here.

WOW! that's one crazy show. At least it makes me feel a little better about paying for my kiddos to play completive sports. However, we don't spend every last penny we have on them. I can't believe the one dad was talking about not having gas for the car, yet they were going to some pageant in LasVegas, WOW!

I would love to see pictures of your finished dining area...I am looking for a nice tan color and I am always so impressed by your decorating skills. heart
hug thanks. I'll post some pics when I've finished doing whatever it is I am going to do. I painted it in Ramie, or taupe/beige/green laugh out loud (to me it looks green), I've moved a table and chairs from one room into that room, but now I think I don't like it. Oh well, it's something to do. i'll probably change it all back soon enough anyway.

Isn't it the truth! The girls on the episode I watched weren't too bad, but the teasers for the next one were way crazy. I'm not sure what I would do if my DD talked back to me like that one did, it was pure ugly!!!

Such a cute baby!!

I do like ramie, give it some time and look at it during different times of the day. Another great taupe/beige is Benjamin Moore Lennox Tan, it isn't "green" and really goes with a lot of different lighting and colors.

I think I have tried most all of the tans and they all turned green, or red. I finally found Ben Moore Manchester Tan and I really like it. It's a perfect tan with no green or red or yellow undertones. I use that in my foyer, hallways ,etc.

I discovered Ramie last month when Ellie was born. The hospital she was born in is brand new and painted in all different shades of greens and beiges. I saw this one wall and I loved it, so I went to Sherwin Williams and sure enough, they painted the entire hospital and kept a big notebook of all the colors and which floor each color was on. So thats how I came to get Ramie laugh out loud But it really does look green to me. I'll take a pic tomorrow and post it laugh out loud

I'm so impressed that your Sherwin Williams had all the info. That's so cool! So many times when I see a color in a public place/store/etc, I always get "I don't know" or "it's a custom color", or a look that says "are you serious?"

I'm currently not painting, but am starting to look for new window treatments. I only have wood blinds and would like to soften them up with some fabric. I love to sew, so I just need to find the right fabric. But more than likely the fabric I find will require me to paint the rooms! laugh out loud

Since you are coming out of the Twilight closet I guess I will as well. I absolutely LOVED the whole Buffy & Angel Series and was heartbroken when they ended. So far I've refused to allow myself to even look at the Twilight books/movies. I have the impression they would be a little too much teen-age romance/angst and not enough of kick Demon-@$$ for me to enjoy but I think my real fear would be getting into another series that I'd be crushed when it ended.[/QUOTE]

If you're a fast reader, then hold off on the Wheel of Time. The last book comes out at the end of the year, so you won't have to wait to find out the end. Sword of Truth is 11 books long, and is finished AFAIK. I also liked Buffy, and the earlier seasons of Angel. Started to lose interest around season 4. Did you know that Buffy lives on in graphic novels? Amazon sells them, and they are actually called Season 8. They're written by Joss Whedon, not fan fiction.
There's also a set of 2 trilogies by Jacqueline Carey, the Kushiel series. Full of hot sex and fighting and a real story!

laugh out loud Absolutely nothing. Big Grin

All this talk about books makes me want to read a good one! But I just started one that is so far very so-so, but I don't want to give up on it. I read mainly Christian fiction, with some Patricia Veryan and classics thrown in. Big Grin Nothing too exciting.

Hubby is watching the dumbest show - The IT Crowd. Am I the only one that finds British humor SO not funny?!
What? Not funny? Well, then we must sing! Everybody -- ♫♪♫♪ Sit on my face, and tell me that you love me...I'll sit on your face and tell you I love you too...I love to hear you moralize, when I'm between your thighs, you blow me awwwaaayyy♫♪♫♪ No? Well then, you must bring me a shrubbery. And a holy hand grenade.

Applause

The great advantage of the tiger in unarmed combat is that he eats not only the fruit-laden foe but also the redcurrants. Tigers however do not relish the peach. The peach assailant should be attacked with a crocodile. Right, now, the rest of you, where are you? I know you're hiding somewhere with your damsons and prunes.

Thank you so much meesh. We're all so relieved that the dx was not as devasting as it was thought it would be. Looks like we dodged another bullet here. There is a doctor at the University Medical Center that specialized in bone diseases and she will see him Friday and I'm sure he'll be able to answer all the questions we have.

I was so happy they had all the colors. I had asked a clerk at the hospital if she knew the colors and she said 'no, but I know it's SW", so I just went to the closest SW and as luck would have it I found it.

Window treatments are hard for me too. I never seem to like them and more often than not, just use the wood blinds. I have a thought going through my head on something I'd like to do with my 'sitting room' (ie, very small front LR, or parlor), but would involve sewing which I'm not so good at.

Me, now I use my grandmother's old cast iron one when ever I have the urge. I think it out cranks any of the new attachments they have on the market now. Much easier to clean to. You can pick them up at auctions usually for a dollar. Or offer to buy it from someones box of junk at auctions.
My mom has had one of those for as long as I can remember (and that's a long time...)

I habe the REDcard, which is a credit card, no annual fee but the interest is like 30%. I also have the Target Debit Card, which is just linked directly to YOUR debit account at YOUR bank, with no fees, no anything, and you still save the 5% in the weird way they do it. I would say got for it, especially for the big ticket items, maybe not necessarily for the little coupon runs, ya know.
I was wondering about getting one of these. Don't want - or need - another credit card though.

One of my fav cashiers told me Friday is her last day. I hate to lose her. Frown

She said it is because they were told they would be written up for not signing up guests for red cards. DH told her to quit. Didn't need her to be worried when trying to earn a living.
Wow! I have only had one cashier ask me about getting one of these. I asked her if she would get points for it - but she said no.

Quote from getgreen09 :

feedback: i don't like the idea of target tracking everything all my purchases and I don't like the idea of them having my name, dob, address, ssn, bank account information. and i don't like them having direct access to my bank account.
so, i'm in the no corner.
Good points to consider..

Quote from thismom4deals :
Anybody know where I can find an ok deal on a microwave???
I got one of the Osters (from the BF deal) a couple weeks ago at Target for $13. I kept looking for them - and finally found two at one store. They might have been returns.

Good morning. Can't sleep since that's all I've done for two days. This cold or flu or whatever I picked up in Houston is kicking my ass.

Someone have a cup of coffee for me.

Meesh, sorry you were so bored last night. Call me later on this mornin if you get a chance. Smilie

on and teri, she's adorable. I also wanted to tell you how relieved I am with your daughters test results. I have been meaning to tell you it for days now but haven't had a chance. I am also interested to hear what the bone doctor says friday.

Oh my, you guys are cracking me up. Big Grin I think Brit humor must be an acquired taste...

So I got up late this morning. Which means my son is scarfing his breakfast, and my two little ones are going to be bundled up in their pajamas to bring brother to school. And then we'll come home and eat breakfast. laugh out loud I am so hoping we get another snow day tomorrow!

I always hear this and it makes me wonder what the Brits say about "Oh that American humor is so brash and vulgar. Low brow."
