Hugs all around today.. so many suffering with loss, illness, and pain..

Jamie - what you did was awesome! I like to give away stuff but I can't imagine giving away my whole stockpile of stuff.. You should receive many blessings in return

Just finished dinner and the cleanup.. Ended up making pot roast, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, lima beans, mac n cheese, biscuits, and a chocolate pie for desert.. Everyone seemed pleased.. well except for the lima beans

Made them eat some of those.. Actually my toddler tried them and loved them.. DH ate them without complaining which surprised me.. The teens were another story.. Kids, gotta love em

I made this deliciousness [blogspot.com] for dinner tonight. I was a little nervous because hubby is not especially fond of Indian food or anything that tastes like it, while I on the other hand love it. It smelled so amazing cooking, and did not disappoint. Even the kids did fairly well in eating it, and hubby almost licked his plate.

And got straight up and fixed a dish to bring in for lunch tomorrow. Definitely recommend it! And since its got all those fabulous spices in it, that means LOTS of antioxidants, so its healthy for you!

Memorial service is tentatively scheduled for Feb 12, which is nice on the financial side - gives us time to get our tax return in. No word yet on how my grandma is today.

Hey, slowtech, do you have any information on the new barcode? Is the software in place to read it, or has it been postponed again? Just wondering if we can expect coupons to start acting differently or not.

I'm in Alabama and have a winter storm warning for tonight. Just rain right now (and snow changeover probably between 10-midnight) but schools are 2 hrs or 3 hrs late tomorrow.

You guys are making me hungry, and I'm still at work and will be for at least another 45 minutes.

We are having Pot Roast leftovers tonight again! J made a 5.5lb roast with all the fixings (I didn't feel comfortable enough for it yet

) on Sunday and we still have TONS of leftovers!

Good thing its tasty!

Yeah, I've been watching that storm. Funny that they've been slow to say how much, since they've been wrong the last 2 "storms".

But looks like this is the real thing. Guess I really should go out tonight and get that toilet paper.

Maybe another gallon of milk while I'm at it.

And setsail, did you see Bloom is doing super doubles next Tuesday? Looks like some possible good deals - have to go through my coupons and make sure. But I'm pretty sure at least the Cabot cheese will be free with the coupon from the Safeway booklet.

I think I have it all but the cinnamon stick.

I think I would add spiciness to it too. My family (well as long as the kids don't know) like the spicy foods. If the kids see the ot stuff getting added, then they freak, but often sriracha is added and they have no clue and gobble it up!

After all the recent inaccurate predictions, I don't belief it until I wake up see the snow.

Last time they did the super doubles, the Bloom near me didn't participate.

I'll check the ad in tomorrow's paper, hopefully this week we do get the doubles. Thanks for the heads up!

That is how I make chicken tacos and quesadilla chicken all the time.. Especially when that pace coupon for 4.00 was out.. We did that alot.. cooked all day in the salsa..

I used to take my left over roast with potatoes and carrots and turn it into soup.. Makes a great start to veggie soup.. Just add some puree tomotoes, green beans or peas, and sometimes I add a little lipton beef onion soup mix. Toss in the crockpot, and another meal done

Why, oh why, do I hate exercise so much? No matter how many times I have been faithful with working out over the years, I never have learned to like it.. I do like the way I feel after I do it, but the actual process I hate

Thank you all for the words, thoughts, and hugs. I'm doing okay. My oldest DD is more torn up than I realized she'd be, and I think DH will be also - though the last time I talked to him he said he was just "numb". I suspect he's holding it together so he can get through work. Need to snuggle that man a lot I think.

Flug - you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers too.
