How are you guys storing those lego, dont want to buy those expensive stuffs. Eventhough my son loves them so much, he is so bad @ organising things and it is left to do them with him Frown I am trying to bring him around, not working...

Thanks. I will stalk around chit chat for a while. If I go early I will let you know.. Did you find lego table on clearance.. I went looking @ all the target around me, none to be found..

Sent PM.
I found one of the Lego tables at the beginning of January at Target, and then saw them at TRU. More expensive there but hopefully the price will go down.

For storage, these bins (picture at bottomw) are cute and hold a lot. I bought 4 so we could divide the small, medium, larger and partially assembled pieces into different bins. $9.99 at TRU.
Or for $10.99, you can get this at Target and each drawer holds quite a bit, and is on wheels so it can move easily from room to room. Link for reference, the one I bought is clear drawers, I use it to store bags of kitty treats.

I didn't get the table because he has a low IKEA storage thing that I glued the big flat pieces to. It works great. I KNOW that I've bought Legos at 75% off before. I got a few sets last year by chance for my nephew. We'll see what happens tomorrow. The shelf today looked like it had been all straightened and organized. Maybe the people at that person's store were taking them back to mark them down and move them to an endcap. Who the fark knows with T.

You will definitely want to put one in the basement near the furnace. Put one on the first floor as well.

As for each room..we do not have them in each room.

I like the Mohawk brand ones. When we had gas heat, we had one on each floor, preferably in a central area.

I haven't been stalking them, have been trying to stay away but as someone else pointed out, I almost never have seen them below 50% off.

We have a few of the Ninja sets and last weekend ds went to the Lego store for one of the monthly club meetings. He had a lot of fun. Big Grin This month's theme was Ninjago, next month is Space Police. Haven't decided if I will sign him up for that one.
I was browsing around in Amazon, have some credit from sb.. some of those monitors has digital ones with keypads with battery backup.. do we need to buy one of those kinds or the non digital ones. Not sure what to settle with Smilie

Mohawk brand @ T??

Kay, we have this one.

http://www.amazon.com/Kidde-KN-CO...573&sr=8-1

Not Mohawk (they make carpet, oops on my side), the model is Nighthawk. I bought it at Walmart, it was about the same price as Amazon. The digital display is nice because then you know the annoying beep is from the back-up battery needing to be changed, and not an actual CO2 sensor alarm.

We were ditched by that chinese calender which says that " If i get pregy by so and so date... eureka! you have a girl".. Excited that we were, totally ended having a boy Frown Crying2after following all those online tutorials to have a girl to the dot Embarrassment

hi all. trying to catch up. been knocked out with meds all day.

thank you for sweet wishes and support and compassion.

L2BM and slowt... yes it feels like forever, but in reality it's been 5 weeks. er and doc had said chest injuries will take about 2-3 months for pain/shortness of breath to decrease. it has decreased - i am not constantly gasping, but it is still hard to breathe and doesn't take much to send me to gasping with just a little exertion. knee and shoulder - could be several months depending on what has happened to the soft tissue. i sustained extensive soft tissue injuries in both areas plus extensive chest and abdomen trauma. my belly is still swollen, still has tender spots and i still feel the burning pinching pain with a little bending or if the laptop pushes against it etc. i remain on a no bending, no lifting order. realization: our bodies are amazing machines, but delicate ones at that. they're not designed to be shunted about and battered inside a car. so, slow and steady it goes. somedays are worse than others. somedays i feel miserably sorry for myself - yesterday. smack me when i do, cos i am lucky that i will heal. and besides i am better than i was right after ax when i couldn't get up or lie down with assistance or get dressed or undressed or go to the bathroom or shower without help. i can do all that myself now. nod i'm getting better, albeit slower than i like, and with much more pain than i bargained for.

thank you guys for caring! you guys keep me going!

kay, we have firstalert detectors, nonLCD, mounted to ceiling.
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb...e+detector

i like the lcd ones a lot, because you can see the actual level and monitor the reduction progress if you open windows etc. BUT not much point if you are going to put em on a ceiling cos you aren't exactly going to crane your neck and read upside down are ya?
good place to use em: garage walls if you park cars indoors, and even inside a car using velcro, if you use a remote starter and leave your car to warm up. kitchen wall is another great place i think.

snowing here. again. they said we've gotten 50 inches in 30 days and more is coming down. FUN!

slowt, thanks for great recipes. i will look for the wood ears at WF if I make it there in next few days. the plan is to get me there on friday. big store and they have a wheelchair cart so i can go about and get some shopping done. really not going to be as cost effective as going to different stores and cherrypicking the sales, but i have no choice right now.

there's a big unilever cat deal coming to a grocery store near us. and a poland spring water cat (nestle waters) also. so keep an eye out in your stores. i am hoping i manage to gather some sorrento IPs atleast do the cheese deal cos we use a lot of mozzarella and those blocks keep for a while. if there are mqs out for poland spring (zephyrhills for some of you) that will be a good deal too. will have to see. would be nice to have some water bottles again. we're down to last couple of dozen aquapods from the sale in september.

I glue all Lego sets together. We have some sets that are made specifically for imaginative, freestyle play but themed sets like Star Wars etc, oh those suckers get glued. I got tired of pieces being lost because my older ds purposely destroyed the sets.

Never used the Chinese calendar but I kind of wanted all girls. Embarrassment We have 2 girls and 2 boys and the girls were so much easier to raise. Yes even the one that is already a teen but then she's an awesome kid.

If you don't me asking, how is it going with the claim? I mentioned that my brother was recently hit by a driver running a red light. and his car is also totaled.

The other guy hired a lawyer to fight the claim. OMG Even though the police cited him, witnesses all say the guy ran a red light, and my brother was told that they don't know when they will be able to close the claim for his car, and their medical bills. He had to take my SIL to the ER Sunday because she was in so much pain. It made me think of you. hug

I told my brother he needs to get a lawyer too. He doesn't want to but sounds like he may have no choice.
