GT, haven't been to Portage Lake, but my family has a lake cabin on the southern most point of Big Sandy Lake. Fishing is so-so, but there are many little lakes in the area as well. I bet I could get my Dad to meet you and take you fishing, he jumps at the chance to go with anyone!

I am really surprised it's that cheap. I had an ultrasound with both of mine, but both were for medically necessary reasons, they were done routinely then and that was long before the 3D. I find it sort of amusing that they do it for fun now. ( One was to see if he was twins, the second was to see what was going on with her, she was induced that day a month early)

How far along are you now?

I'll be 29 weeks on Sunday.

We aren't doing the 3d us. Didn't do it with JJ. We had enough regular us's due to my third trimester issues and this pregnancy I get to see this little guy every 4-6 weeks when I go to the hospital to see the maternal & fetal medicine specialist.

Knock on wood, everything is going well this pregnancy.

I completely understand. Damn noodles and cinnamon bread. Hmm, are you low carb too? Too many dieters, can't remember who can't eat what. One piece, you will probably be ok as long as you are a very good girl the rest of the day.

Hmmm, It seems like Sandy might have been one I looked at. I'm completely jealous of the lake cabin. Last year we went to Osakis and the year before 8th Crow Wing and you can get to 9th and 10th via the lake/river. We've looked at a couple places on Moose (Deer Creek) too. We are primarily interested in fishing for pan fish. (Ok, hubby, is, I really, really want to catch just one of those giant pike. I shall take his picture and put him back. I don't know why they are so resistant to the photo op I am offering).

Now, I know MN has 10,000 lakes, but don't you think they could come up with 10,000 different names? Ya search DNR for lake reports for Moose and come up with several totally different lakes all named Moose -- and that's not including Little Moose, Big Moose or Lost Moose. And that's not the only one. There were a couple other that I ran into the same thing.

I have NO clue what we are doing for dinner. I made dinner last night, but just enough, so no leftovers. We are having company over tomorrow night and we be having pizza, so I don't want to make something with a lot of leftovers. I am thinking of taking the easy route and doing something like fish sticks and tator tots!

I'm doing a modified version of the Special K thing. I add a little protein (translate: I eat half my daughter's sandwich) at lunch just so I don't get super hungry, and then all the snacks have to be fruit or veggie, no exceptions.

I'm about to put this [blogspot.com] in the crockpot. Sad thing is, I only have 2 pork chops, so that means the kids will get their own special something. Maybe hot dogs and mac n cheese. If I had the fish sticks and tater tots, they'd love those, too.

This recipe calls for the Chinese 5-spice, which I don't have, so can't use it this time. But for future reference, where would I find this in the store? I'm guessing this isn't included in McCormick's lineup... So is it in the international aisle? Or should I just go to an Asian store to get it?
