Oh, and an update on the nephew. They are starting him on steroids this week, then will progress to chemo once a bone marrow donor is found. Went to register as a donor, and I weigh too much. DS is under 18, so won't allow that either. The team is very optimistic about finding a match, tho.

tn- when did they put back the *go to page* arrow? seriously that was putting a big crimp in wiki-work and recapping over in deals. was so annoying to try to find a post and cannot go to the page you want to. i just noticed it today.

hug I completely understand. Damn noodles and cinnamon bread. Hmm, are you low carb too? Too many dieters, can't remember who can't eat what. One piece, you will probably be ok as long as you are a very good girl the rest of the day.

GT, I can *totally* see you sending everyone Viagra emails...are you sure you didn't 'sleep type?'
Oh, I'm sure... but now that my email has done this, just think of the fun I could have while I deny having anything to do with it.laugh out loud

The place I am going to ranges from $75 - $175 depending on the package you are getting.
I am really surprised it's that cheap. I had an ultrasound with both of mine, but both were for medically necessary reasons, they were done routinely then and that was long before the 3D. I find it sort of amusing that they do it for fun now. ( One was to see if he was twins, the second was to see what was going on with her, she was induced that day a month early)

GT, haven't been to Portage Lake, but my family has a lake cabin on the southern most point of Big Sandy Lake. Fishing is so-so, but there are many little lakes in the area as well. I bet I could get my Dad to meet you and take you fishing, he jumps at the chance to go with anyone!
Hmmm, It seems like Sandy might have been one I looked at. I'm completely jealous of the lake cabin. Last year we went to Osakis and the year before 8th Crow Wing and you can get to 9th and 10th via the lake/river. We've looked at a couple places on Moose (Deer Creek) too. We are primarily interested in fishing for pan fish. (Ok, hubby, is, I really, really want to catch just one of those giant pike. I shall take his picture and put him back. I don't know why they are so resistant to the photo op I am offering).

Now, I know MN has 10,000 lakes, but don't you think they could come up with 10,000 different names? Ya search DNR for lake reports for Moose and come up with several totally different lakes all named Moose -- and that's not including Little Moose, Big Moose or Lost Moose. And that's not the only one. There were a couple other that I ran into the same thing.

I am also planning on getting 3D when i am around 34 weeks. Do you mind saying how much it will cost? TIA
How far along are you now?

I'll be 29 weeks on Sunday. Whee

We aren't doing the 3d us. Didn't do it with JJ. We had enough regular us's due to my third trimester issues and this pregnancy I get to see this little guy every 4-6 weeks when I go to the hospital to see the maternal & fetal medicine specialist.

Knock on wood, everything is going well this pregnancy.

Well my medical ones that I had done (I have had 3 so far, once for bleeding early on, one for my large size, and a repeat of the second one at a different higher tech place to make sure everything was ok) were more expensive, but were not 3D. I don't pay for the ones at my hospital but I still see the bills and they were around $600 each. Since the place I am going to for the 3D US is not a diagnostic place, its cheaper. It is just for memories.

I'm doing a modified version of the Special K thing. I add a little protein (translate: I eat half my daughter's sandwich) at lunch just so I don't get super hungry, and then all the snacks have to be fruit or veggie, no exceptions. Problem is I need to get to the grocery store to get more fruits. But this works for me, because its not uber restrictive, and I lose weight fairly quickly. I'm already down 2.5 lbs. bounce And getting in the habit (again!) of eating fresh fruits and veggies is a very good thing.

I have NO clue what we are doing for dinner. I made dinner last night, but just enough, so no leftovers. We are having company over tomorrow night and we be having pizza, so I don't want to make something with a lot of leftovers. I am thinking of taking the easy route and doing something like fish sticks and tator tots! EEK!

I'm about to put this [blogspot.com] in the crockpot. Sad thing is, I only have 2 pork chops, so that means the kids will get their own special something. Maybe hot dogs and mac n cheese. Big Grin If I had the fish sticks and tater tots, they'd love those, too.

This recipe calls for the Chinese 5-spice, which I don't have, so can't use it this time. But for future reference, where would I find this in the store? I'm guessing this isn't included in McCormick's lineup... laugh out loud So is it in the international aisle? Or should I just go to an Asian store to get it?

Then it sounds like you are ok. That one piece of toast isn't any different than half of your daughter's sandwich. Now back away from that sandwich!!

I made that the other week! It was SUPER yummy Licklips nod I found the Chinese 5 spice in T right with the other 'Asian' foods. I was surprised. My hubby said no way would T have it, but ours did! woot Here [wikipedia.org] is a wiki article on whats in the spice mix, in case you have some of it laying around. Smilie
