1 c brown sugar
1 c vegetable oil
2 eggs
2 c regular or quick-cooking oats
1 1/2 c Gold Medal all-purpose flour
1 c raisins or cut up dates
1 c chopped nuts or flaked coconut
1 1/2 t ground cinnamon
1 1/2 t ground cloves
1 t baking soda
1/4 t salt
Honey Glaze
1/4 c honey
2 T butter
Heat oven to 350. Grease jelly roll pan. Mix brown sugar, oil and eggs in large bowl with spoon until smooth. Stir in remaining ingredients except honey glaze. Spread in pan with spatula evenly. Bake just until the center is set but not firm, 17-22 minutes. Cool 15 minutes. Warm honey glaze ingredients just until heated thru (microwave or saucepan on stove). Drizzle bars evenly with Honey Glaze and cool completely. Bars can be stored tightly covered for up to 2 weeks, or wrap in moistureproof wrap and freeze up to 6 months.
Note: I don't ever put in the cloves or the coconut and I usually back the oil down to 3/4 c or I've also done 1/2 c pumpkin and 1/2 c oil as well.
I like that I don't have to get the mixer out to make these. My Dad loved these. I didn't say they were healthy, I said they were tasty

oh, the $1/2 TQ for 6 packs of Pepsi pairs up nicely with the 6 packs on sale this week (today I guess is the last day) for 2.75! 2.25 for a 6 pack of 24 oz Diet Pepsi is sweet. I love keeping my bottle with me while I carpool LOL!!!
Did you see the evicted hoarder story on the news? I'm missed the first part, but I'm pretty sure it was DM.

I was so looking forward to this weekend to get a little mommy time but my husband is too nice of a guy and has several side jobs going on. Started off as work for a friend and now their neighbor and co-workers want work done. I just want sanity!!!!

I hope there's some nice TQ's next week + good sales to make up for me not shopping this week. I just can't seem to get myself out of the house.
And talking about getting out of the house - where are some good places to buy clothes? We all need some updates/adds to our wardrobes. We've got sears, jcp, kohls, belk, and a few other places around. Wondering who's got the best quality/prices lately.
