Just popping in to say hello. My sister arrived last evening and I didn't realize how much I missed having her here.. We stayed up til 4 am playing cards and talking.. and oh yeah, snacking on way too much junk!

Skimmed the posts.. Sounds like Ank you need lots of hugs.. Sorry about DH grandma and about the sickness hug We all passed around some crud for most of December.. SOunds like you did great with the cleaning.. But, I think sometimes it is just hard because when you have alot of people in the family, you do pass around germs from person to person. Maybe also bump up everyone on the vitamin C too Smilie I hope you can find the humidifier, it helped wonders around here when we were sick! hughughug

Going to watch the superbowl commercials laugh out loud that is the only part I like.. We didn't do any big foods.. Just some digiorno (thanks flugette) and chips

Thanks L2B. I'm actually feeling a lot better. Been pumping up the vitamins, so maybe that has helped a bit. The rest of the family seems to be doing better too for the most part. Still can't find the dumb humidifier and I just did not go out today.

I have to go out tomorrow. The dog is totally out of dry food now - just ate her last bowl.

When I signed in - it gave me the old date coupon of Feb 6, 2011. BUT they have changed the coupon from one per purchase to one per person.

I registered my son and got a coupon with the March 8 expiration date. It also says one per person.

They probably changed it since some people were buying hundreds of boxes with the q.
Mad about the fine print change! Wish you hadn't told me though! Ignorance is bliss! laugh out loud

She is def. in the swing. She'll be there for another 2 years I think LOL

rach... colic. have you tried gripe water? a boppy pillow? one of my goddaughters had incredibly bad colic. the combination of placing her at an angle on the boppy pillow, plus giving her gripe water helped a great deal. we also made sure to burp her right after nursing so the gas didn't build up. some babies also like to be held upside down (not something i recommend or would ever have the courage to do, but my friends have done this with their kids)
We do a lot of gripe water. I'm not sure it helps but we'll do anything at this point LMAO

Nope, I've never been there but I could tell it was crap. In Chicago, you couldn't go 6 blocks in an hour - 'aint no way that NYC or DC is any different. laugh out loud

I finished my dd's cake!!!!! I am pretty happy with it. I had a little dilemma this AM when I went to cover it with the fondant and one corner and part of the back broke off and I had to piece it together VERY carefully. That was tedious work but I was not risking taking it all off and risking messing up the frosting, etc. Here's a pic!

I can't believe my dd is going to be 3 tomorrow
11 is much worse and apparently 12 is the end.

Love the cake!

I hope everyone who is sick gets well, everyone who is well stays well, and that everyone has had a very pleasant day!

Mavis has decided to start working on another tooth. She is an angry baby who is trying to chew EVERYTHING. This should be an interesting trip to Ohio!

We spent a good part of the day scrubbing everything down and disinfecting all the surfaces - including the kids toys. Threw out our toothbrushes, washed the bedding, yada yada. The only thing I didn't do was scrub the floors.
Is Illinois on the way to Ohio for you? I can't remember - if so, I'll make sumpin new and pack up enough leftovers to feed y'all for a week LOL

You are a better woman than me with all the cleaning. I get one room picked up and the next one gets trashed - I give up.

Oh, I'd love to hear about a Jedi there. I have that one I told you about, but other than that nada. I might actually be headed there tomorrow to check on a prescription that I think was on auto renew, but they never called me about.

Sorry to hear you have a colicy little one. Cole had the WORST colic. It was horrid. Thankfully #2 was much better. I will say that once he got out of the infant stage it has been smooth sailing, and with DS... ehhh... not so much. She's going to turn all my hair gray.

Watching the Super Bowl, pretty much to see if I win anything from the pool I entered over in the SF thread. Is it just me or was that half-time show painful to watch. I mean... really... it is supposed to be the most high-tech stadium in the country and we can't remember to turn on Fergie's mic???

Believe it or not, try soy milk... It cured my daughter of colic very quickly.

I hate to even tell you this, but he seemed to be WAY less cranky right around 10-12 months. I know it wasn't colic the whole time, but damn. He did have reflux and was on zantac as an infant. I think it helped a little, but not much. At one point he was getting worse so I took him back to the dr. and they adjusted his zantac dose. After 2 weeks it was the same so I just discontinued the meds. We tried soy and "sensitive" formula. Nothing helped that kid. At night he did like to be swaddled so I would tie him up super tight and he would sleep pretty good. But god help me during the day with that one.

On it nod We switched to Prosobee a few weeks ago and that helped the puking. Poor thing was allergic to milk too.

Sadwalk GREAT. Looking forward to 8-10 more months of fuss.

They put her on Prevacid last week - can't tell if it's helping or not. I'm not convinced she has reflux.

I feel ya on the long days with a cranky baby Comfort

GG - hug Comfort I will be thinking of you and praying for you. Please don't be a stranger!!! Are there deals you'd like a PM/email about? We could keep you updated so you don't have to do the deal searching part. I know it's hard to do through pain fog.

I know how you feel. My oldest is 14 and we've been doing the same thing for around a year to year-and-a-half. It still freaks me out and I am always wondering where she's at - especially if I think she's taking too long or not where I expect her to be (dressing rooms... lol). Cold

I don't have one of those kinds of vaporizers. Do they work really well? Once-upon-a-time I read that they can irritate airways, so I never did get one - but that's been several years. I do have a regular one but have been pulling my hair out trying to find the base for it. I have no idea how or why it got separated. Makes me so Mad - and I suspect that as soon as everyone feels perfectly fine, I'll be tripping over it or something. I may actually go pick one up because it's definitely getting dry in the house.

I am feeling a bit better though, so I am going to start scrubbing everything down tomorrow. This is just crazy how long we've been sick!
Well we love ours! I especially love smelling the medicine and feeling like I can breathe much better during the night. We all wake up feeling well so not sure if the medicine thing works because I like it or if it really works??!! Either way, I stick with it! Wink Hope you find yours! And hugs for grandma.
