Assuming the Energizer batteries are still an 8pk. Buy one get one free. 10.99 for 16 minus coupons. maybe I should check the DB for them. Peelies are on the old style of batteries; unless I got the brand names all mixed up.

The finish came off the inside of my Crock-Pot. I returned to BBB. Anyone else have this happen?

Last thing I cooked was Chicken/BBQ sauce. Probably ate that black stuff that flaked off. EEK!

I'm going back and reading all the deals recaps. Man, I'm not finding anything! I remember someone talking about cheese and bacon but I think that's over. If there is something I need to know, please tell me.

Only two I know of right now.

$1/1 Energizer Batteries or Flashlight - 01-02-11 SS

Walgreen's Magazine Diabetes and You $2/1 Energizer EZ Change Hearing Aid Batteries

I'm still stocked (ie, I still haven't opened ANY) from the wags peelie sale they had... in Sept or August maybe?
Sam's has the battery for the left ear (13) but they don't carry the one for the right ear (312). Sam's is where I used to buy them all the time, and I'm still using batteries bought from Sam's for the left one.

Yes....I have those D & Y bookletsheart
I seemed to be flying through batteries at the moment. I just do not want to be paying 10/pk. I got like 15 or so back then..I thought it was like Mayish. when I used to live in this thread all the time.laugh out loud

Truthfully, I have no idea when I bought them (peelie'd Rayovaks). They are in the dining room, in a bag on the floor. I know where they are simply because I had to get all my SILs crap together to make a run to SC to see the niece play, then I got sick and couldn't go.

I don't wear mine on the weekends (hand signal time laugh out loud) so I usually go thru one battery per week per ear.

Ok, this is pathetic. I have been reading and reading and the only thing that makes me perk up at all is the very slim possibility of finding fishing stuff 75% off. And since their fishing section is pretty sad to begin with that makes this even more pathetic.

I actually need some groceries too but I seem to fixating on the fact that there isn't a Sutton & Dodge coupon. Should I stay or should I go now....

I feel your pain. I haven't found any deals worth going out for at any of my stores. I need to find something or I have to stay home and finish the laundry and clean bathrooms......the boys' bathrooms! YUCK!!! Hope I find my motivation after I drop DD off at school.

I haven't seen anything exciting either, but we need some stuff so I'm going shopping for just the basics. Feels so sad.

good afternoon! where is everybody today? still recuperating from superbowl partying?

EEK! isn't the pot ceramic? how'd it come off?

my store is usually slow to mark down and reset except for scheduled holiday markdowns, dollar spot etc. i think it was friday or saturday they reset the camping and fishing aisle and threw whatever was left w/ the dregs of the 75% sport toys. so unless your store is really late w/ resets, there is probably not much left.

i did find a very nice fieldcrest luxury queen-sized white blanket 060-07-0599 for 75% off at 14.98 on saturday. kinda wish i could have found it in the green that i saw in king-sized at another store, but that was too big. at my stores all the good bedding was 2-3 wks ago and just finding stuff here and there last wk. i missed all the corelle the last 2 wks. everybody kept talking about the flower pattern so i didn't realize my pattern was also 75% off and i missed it.

i'm ready to take a break from target. almost every wk i've been chasing 75% off clearance since new yrs eve. the piles are really getting on my nerves. as well as the filthy house. now in the midst of who is getting what, what is staying and what is getting returned.

Read the last 11 pages.

I am so out of the loop. Target, I know I need to get back into it. My new job transferred, the one I didn't ask for....since my old store closed. I am at the moment making LESS than my previous store. Commission versus hourly.

At least the new store gives me loads of hours. But I have had less time trying to read, do deals. Now I know that hello world. I have two months to get stuff in order. Otherwise I will have the savings account drained. Sucks but that is the way life is.

What else....Packers won!!! That means my new store opened up at 6 this morning. Other than that if I am good and say hi to y'all maybe I can get into Target within the next two weeks. I mean shop it like before.

Ank...Sorry to hear about your grandma..
Thrifth.....congrats on a new little one on the way.
TN....Do you know about any energizer coupons...Hearing aid batteries are looking to be a good price at Wags this week. Buy one get Free and if there is any coupons out there.Life will be good,

Bunnies...don't bite me.

That is all for now.
Wave Glad to see you, been wondering how you are and the jobs and all. hug I found a whole Energizer display at a local grocery with $2/1 Energizer yellow peelies.

No that is weird, scary that you ate it! EEK! I had a old crock pot that the finish was dull and scratched so more and more was sticking to it. It was the kind the bowl didn't lift out. Ended up giving it away and I got a new one with that 20% off TQ a while back.

GG - I understand but will miss you. I was on hiatus for quite a few months when I was going through cancer treatments - it was one too many of a thing to do/accomplish and I couldn't do it anymore. ((hugs))

Lisa - happy to hear your nephew is hanging in there - what a fighter!

Ok, JJ had, well still has, a milk protein allergy. Be careful with soy, b/c it is also a larger protein that is difficult for their little tummies to digest. I screwed around with removing all dairy and soy from my diet for 2-3 mos and no improvement with my colicky little dude. At 4.5 mos I said forget it, no more BFing, this kid is going on Alimentum. His screaming/crying got much better, but at nearly 5 mos he was pretty much conditioned to be a high maintenance baby. At 17, nearly 18 mos he's still a craptastical sleeper and high maintenance. I figure by 30 he should be evened out.
It never once occurred to me that breast milk could be the problem. I BF her then supplement with the soy crap. I drink a lot of milk - I wonder if I'm part of the problem Frown Thinking I should give Alimentum a try, too.

LOL at the high maintenance - see below Teehee

My DS#2 had severe acid reflux, ALWAYS projectile vomiting..Pediatrician initially thought he had pyloric stenosis, when he was 2-3 weeks olds.. after a series of tests, confirmed that he had acid reflux..
Started with zantac, went to prevacid..and atlast he was getting ok when he started to sit up (around 7 months) and completely out of reflux by 8.1/2 months when he started to walk..[yeah, you are reading it right @eighth month]
It's feast or famine around here but when I cook, I'm in there all day. I have no idea why I do that but I dislike daily cooking so I make up for it in sprees LOL

My step brother had pyloric stenosis - I'd never heard of it before he said that. My DS walked at 8 months, too. So so sad. I'll keep giving her Prevacid and see if it helps...couldn't hurt!

Quote from slowtech :
when i was in college, i used to walk 1/2 hr to my part time job b/c it was literally faster than taking the bus sometimes.
I can totally see that! Even standing around to catch a cab & then driving through traffic sometimes makes the walk worth it.

rachael, forgot to mention this before. My oldest had colic and it was awful. When she was about 5 months old, it just suddenly stopped. hug

You mean I am supposed to have an actual recipe for this? Well, I don't but I can try to tell you how to make it.
This sounds like 100% more effort than I usually put forth but am willing to try it if it turns out good. How much broth are we talking?

Thank you so much for spelling it out for me heart

Anyone with a rental property:

Did your house have to get inspected and approved by the City? Did you have to have a code compliance inspection?

We had to pay our property manager $610 for him to get a license through the city to rent the house. Then we had the code inspection. We just got the report today and they are claiming that another $750 in plumbing improvements need to be made, including eliminating a 1/2 Bath. I could cry. I have no way of knowing being so far away what they are doing in MY house. Does this sound normal, or do you have less restrictions if you are the one renting the property, as opposed to a mgmt. company doing it?

I don't have rental property - I just rent it on TV...

Seriously, though - from what I remember working in permits - that's not terribly unusual. The only way to get around it is to *not* be "official" and try to go under the table. Problem is that you can get lots of fines and be made to do the work anyway if/when caught.

If there is anyone (you trust and is impartial) that can go and supervise for you or check out and interview the plumbers/workers - make sure to have them do that.

And some of that can depend on where you are located and each local municipalities laws.
