Be careful in the snow. It's snowing outside, but I can't leave for another hour (our timecards go in on Wednesday and mine is already submitted). Is Charleston/Savannah forecast for snow or just rain? I hate long distance rain driving. The windshield wipers put me to sleep after listening to them for hours.
I double-checked to make sure we don't need to change what was packed. Charleston area is rain tonight and tomorrow morning. By the time we get there sometime late tomorrow evening, the rain will likely have stopped. I'm not bothered by driving in snow or rain, I lived near Seattle for too long laugh out loud, but boy I can't deal with idiots that don't know how to drive properly.

Awe, poor lil guy, hope he feels better soon. I bet feeling sick he will sleep most of the trip. We have taken a trip or two when the kids get sick and they sleep more than usual, a few times waking up to puke though. Might want to put a few towels under car seat and around it. Also be prepared to take out car seat liner and have a few towels or blankets on hand in case you do need to take out the car seat liner and you are not there yet, you can pad the plastic car seat with those. Lots of wipes, extra water in case wipes are to dry and plastic bags to hold anything that needs washed once you get there.

Haha, I just spell checked and it wants dreem to be dramatize! lol! dreem the drama queen, lol.
Thanks. hug He hasn't thrown up again since about 4 pm so I wonder if it was the coughing? Poor little guy had rotavirus pretty bad when he was about 18 months old and I absolutely could not cancel older ds' behavioral specialist appt. That's about a 2 hour drive from my house, he threw up a few times on the way there and we went directly to the ER when we got back. He was there overnight. In a little while I'll give him some more kids cold medicine and Tylenol.

After that trip, I always have towels in the car but I'm going to bring a few more and some T bags for throwing stuff away. laugh out loud

Teehee That is what my Home Depot is like....non-helpful. Our Menards is fairly good....of course I am one who usually knows what I want, I go in and get it and am done and would rather the employees don't bother me Big Grin Menards' stuff is usually lower-priced (Thrift I see you guys price-match, didn't know they did that) so I like that. Although I don't think they have maybe as good of a selection of some styles...example: our wall tile in our kitchen was from HD because it was the style we wanted.

I do like Menards lumber far, far better than HD or Lowes....I can get very nice standard grade there where as to get something nice at the other two I have to pay a higher price to get something more 'premium.'
Crylol My husband is currently a historical renovation superintendent on the commercial side. In the past he has done plumbing for the govt as well as contract remodel jobs ranging from bathrooms to kitchens to full basement finishing...so he knows EXACTLY what he needs/is looking for. It is generally over Menard's employee's heads...that is if there are any to be found to help him. Plus he gets a contractor's discount on materials at HD.

If the work you need done was in FL, I'm sure he would. He's over this cold weather and would really like to move back to SoCal.

He's actually swamped with work. He's been working 12 hour days and keeps running into problems b/c the project manager and engineer have done poor jobs. Nothing like the engineer drawing up prints for plumbing and a steel beam in the same place...just not gonna happen. Or the project manager neglecting aspects of demo or installation with the contracted UNION plumbers/framers/concrete/electricians...you try to get a union worker to do something that is necessary to proceed without it being in their contract. Not. Gonna. Happen. The best by far has to be install public restrooms on this floor but maintain the historical materials...so how does one actually run water and waste without knocking holes in some walls/floors. Dontknow Not to mention all of the contract jobs he's been trying to wrap up on weekends.

We don't see each other much these days.

I know I looked up my local weather forecast and it stated rain. Dh just called to let me know he's on his way home and it's snowing. Good thing we aren't planning to leave the house until about 10 am.

And his phone bricked. Just bought it in June last year and I know Sprint will send us a refurb. This is the second Android phone that bricked (basically, dies completely, won't even turn on) after trying to do an update. *sigh* Other one was in June, and no his phone isn't the replacement refurb, it was a brand new to the market phone. Sprint will tell us that we have to take the phone to their shop, leave it for a few days for them to assess it, and then they will decide if a replacement should be sent out. It's what we had to do last year.

So dh is without a phone until at least Monday. Poor guy, he's going to be in some serious withdrawals. laugh out loud

Still....that's dedication. Smilie Do you have to change her all the time to keep them from leaking or are they like disposables?
If I keep her changed about every 2 hours during the day, we're pretty good. Occasionally she'll have some leaking if the inserts aren't put in just so. She can go longer sometimes, but I try to change her sooner. At night or when we are running around a lot, I double up on the inserts to stretch it out a bit. She is a super wetter too.

and they worked pretty well and all but the process for the washing, etc. was just too much for me. Oh, and call me picky but they made a lot of dd's clothes fit different it seemed like....so on the off-chance that we were using a disposable it was just weird to me.
I do wash a load every day. I should make a few extras so I"m only washing every other, but I guess I'm used to it now and it's not too big of a deal. The worst is if she's got a particularly pooey one that needs some rinsing in the toilet. Blech - not fun. One of my friends does cloth dipes and her hubby (who is a bit more handy than mine!) installed a hand sprayer to the toilet line so she can spray them off without having to dunk the whole thing and get her hands all yucky. THAT would be handy to have.

And they definitely make some clothes fit funny.

I haven't had good beans and cornbread in ages... can I come eat?? Big Grin

Ok TCC friends. I think I'm going to try my hand at some cake pops. I've been wanting to ever since my kick a$$ SS sent me the bakerella book. So I found these on etsy. Linky [etsy.com]. I'm wondering, what do you think they made those butterflies out of? I think these would be cute for Easter, but I don't know if those are candies that I need to try to find or if you think they made them out of something. Thoughts?
They definitely look molded - all are pretty much the same, and that's pretty impossible to do freehand. It could be chocolate, gumpaste, fondant, or a sugar thing. Not really sure... have you tried asking the seller??

Someday, when I have time, I would love to make one of THESE [astorybooklife.com]
Now I want to do that!!!!

Soooo... we made the 8 hour drive to Ohio without incident. We had to drive a "child molester" van (as DH calls it) because they didn't have a mini van available when we picked it up. That thing is huge, but I kind of love it. Seats 12 people!

Anyway, we drive forever and get here to a full house. Kids are playing and running around and I noticed that my toddler had a very red face. I had her come over to sit with me for a minute and she was hot! Took her temp and it was 103.8!!! Faint Yeah, fun. We've been alting ibuprophen and tylenol now.

Of course, with schedules messed up and all the excitement and cousins running around we didn't get to bed until lateish and the night was cruddy. Toddler slept with us, and we had several points where monkey toddler and monkey baby were in bed with us.

Baby is definitely waving to folks now. She's been up on her knees "rocking", saying "da da" and "go", working hard on the next tooth, and in general making her momma kind of sad to see her growing up too stinking fast!! She also copies the dog and makes this funny face with her tongue sticking out. It's pretty amusing.

I'm tired. Hope you are all doing well!

Work is on a 2 hour delay. Our snow/slush has re-frozen in 20 degree temps and made a vehicle skating rink. 4 jack-knifed tractor trailers sit on 565 at the Greenbrier exit this morning.

Jose Cuervo Gold Margarita is good too. Margarita all ready made, just pour it out of the bottle. I very rarely drink any kind of alcohol, but, oh my, that's tasty. And easy... far too easy. And it goes really well with Pringles after a hard day of fishing.

There's still some left, come on over. Daughter calls them serial killer vans -- but only if they don't have windows in the back.

Today's Agenda:

He can throw up once we are there. shake head I'll just pack more clothes for him.

No, no I am here. Having been banging my head against the wall all morning.
All I want to know is why did God invent 'stupid' people and I apologize for saying stupid. I don't care for that word, but it's the only word I know that fits how I feel at the moment.

I know a few of you are Bzz Agents. Have you had any problems with your My Points account? I posted in the Bzz thread but since I pretty much never go there, I thought I would ask you too. If you copy yourself is it plagiarism?
I haven't really been keeping up with my Bzz stuff lately but today I logged into My Points to see what I had. Have any of you had any problems?

My balance is showing at 443 point. Going back through my Bzz Account history shows a total of 1,184 points. When they did the switch over my balance transfer was over 10,000 points. Needless to say, I'm just a little ticked off.

I have looked through the statements on My Points but they don't go back very far and none of them show any activity.

I have emailed My Points and I have emailed Bzz asking if they have the exact amount that was transferred. Now, I'm just waiting to hear. Most of my points have come from Bzz. But, that does remind me, I believe I had some airline miles transferred too.
