Wave 48 here (we've hashed thru this before... Bronc and Laina (I think) won the prize).

I've got half a pan of the soft granola bars cooling and I've laid out makings for a pan of choc chip cookies for my valentines (*the guys who used to work for me before my boss got stupid and moved me to a different task that I do not like).

One small Grrr... I make cheesecakes and take them, well just about everywhere. I buy my graham cracker crumbs from a tiny Mennonite Bakery that is 40 miles from the house that makes wonderful homemade sourdough bread, cookies, pies yummy and the price for a quart size bag of crumbs was around $2 bucks, so I usually bought 4 of them while I was that way. So I make the drive over yesterday on my day off and they don't carry anything homemade anymore and they don't have graham cracker crumbs. Girl working (not a Mennonite, which should have been my first clue when I walked in the door) said they haven't carried these for at least a year. shake head I've bought graham cracker crumbs from there in the past year. So I wasted a trip. Business is for sale. Hmm, it would have been a great place to sell WHEN they had homemade goodies to sell. I'm not sure about now.

Just to head off questions Mennonites here don't wear pants and don't wear makeup and this girl had on both.

That bites .... just another example of the little mom-and-pop shops being eaten alive by 'the man'. Maybe we should pull an Egypt and start a revolution.

I can't believe that they want $329K for this place, but I'm sure there is roughly 50-75K or so of equipment in it. Is in the middle of nowhere. My dad and Aunt used to drive probably about 45 miles once in a while to pick up homemade bread. Probably 12-15 miles to Winchester (small town, maybe 12000 folks), 2 miles to Belvidere (my boyfriend [there's a term I haven't used in 20 years] in HS and college was from here...just a stop in the road) and maybe 6 miles to Huntland (tiny... no stoplights).here are pics of the place [realtracs.com]. Note the homemade bread in the oven. I wonder what happened to the Mennonite family that owned it.

Scratchchin if they could move the entire building/land/equipment to Huntsville, I'd be all over it. I've always thought about opening a small bakery when I retire that has a delivery service to contractors meetings (hot fresh cookies and milk/coffee) and serves individual sized cheesecakes.

i could never eat salad twice a day for a wk. i don't even think i could eat it every day. that's too much chewing laugh out loud! and too much raw veggies for me. just not my culture. maybe twice a wk and only in the summer. i have to have lots of variety.

i don't recommend eating stuff till you are sick of it. you fall off the bandwagon b/c you can't take it anymore. when i was in school, my db would only eat ham and bologna so that's all my mom would pack for lunch. i don't think i've eaten bologna in 30 yrs, i got so sick of it. i do eat ham but not virginia ham that my mom would buy. i finally bought some last yr for the first time.

i came across an article today that says you should drink chocolate milk after working out Evil

I have not been eating salad as a meal but just incorporating it into my meals so I dont eat junk..

And when I was asking abt protein shakes, I did read abt chocolate milk..But I am still not convinced because of the sugars..Although it is very very tempting...

No idea, but they are getting expensive. I was able to get 10 for $3.xx a couple of days ago. I had a lot of fun this morning: a boxes of k-cups for under $2 woot

Hit the jackpot with c9! They were on every febreze and tide. Also found physicians formula $3 peelies. Green. Lots of clearance bronzers and eye palettes for $2.xx.

Forgot to check the ka food chopper. I think I purchase one of those recently anyways Evil

In bad news, turns out we need all new plumbing pipes. The.whole.damn.house. I am beyond upset. We also had to rip off our front stairwell because the handrail is too wide and previous plumbing work was done with the wrong kind of sealant and has to be redone. Sigh. Had other plans for our tax refund. Sadwalk

What about the slim fast shakes? You can use fat free milk and the powder. Not exactly sure of the sugar content in the mix but it has a lot more vitamins than the chocolate milk.

I just searched for some of the Kleenex $1... even those are super pricey. Do people really buy them for that price?

Good evening everyone Smilie Had a great day today!

We had a blast at CEC. First time my DD had ever been there and she loved it.. She played games, climbed the tubes, sang with chuck e, and ate pizza and cake. I think she really enjoyed the day. It got pretty crowded shortly after we arrived, but wasn't too terrible. I managed to get out with only eating salad and drinking some water, so I was happy with myself.

After we left, we went to a target near CEC.. Haven't been in this T in several years cause of the location. Clearance was pretty good. Got a few shower curtains, some cereal, finish, and rimmell..
Cam back home and hit my regular ST store.. Jedis were plentiful today which made me super happy.. Sadly, there just aren't many really good deals around to make a good STC run.. I did get the same things at this store, but also managed to get the almost free cards, teddy bears, and candy... combined the scenario posted in deals along with the 4.00 TQ wyb candy and a bear, for a great deal!. Think I will try that deal again tomorrow Wink Also, found a nice stash of MP juice boxes..
Left the second target and went to CVS and grabbed a few good deals there before heading home..

All in all it was a great day, but I am exhausted! Stores here were a madhouse.. You couldn't even drive a cart through the valentine section Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)
