afternoon! Wave

shockers! yesterday dh asked me when i wanted him to cook fried rice again, which is the only thing he cooks from start to finish. i said we needed to buy peas. he said how come you didn't get some when you went to the supermarket? he still hasn't learned in 16 yrs i only buy from the supermarket when it's on sale and i have a coupon or warehouse club. otherwise i just buy market pantry from target. supermarket brand is more expensive and quality is lower. so i just went to the end and said i buy market pantry from target and i haven't been in more than a wk.

dh dropped me off at the bus stop to go to sisters dinner w/ his sisters (OMG talk about learn something new every day!)

came home and dh had gone to target and bought the mp peas! Faint

he never volunteers to cook! i always have to bring it up and then it takes him sometimes months to actually do it! he averages making fried rice less than once/yr. this will be the second time in wks! dunno what brought this on!

I love the warmer days.. I just sent my toddler outside to play with the older kids.. Making them take 15 minutes sessions outside with her so I can get some peace and get a few things done around here.. Just finished mopping my kitchen and dining room..
Gonna start the living room soon.. I hate housework Frown

i'm here and there catching up but gotta go soon.

btw- my bathrobe weighs over .5lb but i usually weigh w/ it on. didn't realize it was that much. yesterday i was doing the same thing as you and funny how even a digital scale keeps giving different numbers each time you hop on and off after the 2nd time. first and 2nd time always agreed so never went for more until yesterday. then i started taking the bathrobe off...no consistency. it's like a time warp!

I am looking online trying to find a dress for my DD to wear to prom.. being a SDer, I am looking for a cheap one Wink Found some on the Kohls web site and with the 30% code, some don't seem to bad.. but, I can't tell from online shopping, how short the dress will be. I know DH won't let her go out of the house, if they are super short.. Stupid question, when the dress gives approximate length, is that for the entire dress? SO, I should somehow measure her from upper chest to knee and see how long that would be?

Also, does anyone know if there is a problem returning them? Like, if I ordered several and had them shipped, would they give me a hard time about returning the ones I didn't want to keep?
One of the first places we look when it is formal time is the Goodwill. We found 2 dresses last year for $14 total. They were in perfect condition.

Mini Thrift was looking at Macy's, debshops.com and another that escapes me right now Ranting You can filter by price range.

Also, can she check with her friends to see if they have something she could borrow for the evening? This is BIG at my kid's HS!

And, if your DH did get injured or something, and actually needed that for pain, they could refuse him a scrip for it..
That's what I was wondering.

Call your insurance right away and report it. I would also call corporate of the pharmacy. This is a highly addictive drug, and sells for $$$! Your DH should not have to drive over there!
I didn't know folks sold these! Ugh. It's at CVS. The only reason I could think of why they would want DH to drive over there with his ID is for HIPPA reasons or something. I don't know - it's weird.

I believe there is another guy with his name in this city - but they have different middle initials, birthdates, ss#, address, yada yada. I wonder if *he* had an RX and got it filled and they just put it under the wrong insurance. We haven't used that pharmacy in almost 4 years, so it's really weird that they could make that mistake. How can a pharmacy be that careless?

I did contact the insurance company and they said I had to contact the pharmacy.

Oh on the top of fried rice --- anyone tried the Asian Chicken Helper Fried Rice version??? We're not much for 'Helpers' around here but it was $1 @ Target and I had that $.50/1 printable from somewhere so I decided we'd try it....was skeptical but we thought it was really good. A little on the salty side and a little intense for me to prepare laugh out loud but for $.50 it didn't taste a whole lot different than the fried rice you get at the Chinese restaurant place.

Back from my T, RA, Wags x2 and Big Lots run. I am super pissed because T over charged me $39.84. I thought my total was a bit high but paid and left then checked the receipt at Wags and realized why. All the post its I bought were marked 75%off but rang up full price OMG I will just return and rebuy them but I still hate that. Made some money at RA and a little bit at Wags. I told my DH that I was going to put myself on a biweekly budget for RA and Wags. I am getting all this free-ish stuff but I still have to pay tax OOP so I said I will buy a $20 GC to each store, each paycheck and once it is gone no more crap until the next weeks paycheck no matter how "free'' it might be - period.

When I was wagging, I did that. It's not really free if you spend all your grocery money on tax to stockpile a bunch of things you can't eat/consume... lol.

yeah, this yr is *simplify*.

not really free if you have to pay tax and just takes up space and effort to put it away if you don't use it yourself until you give it away. and then they may not even want it.

got off the cvs bandwagon that pretty much died anyway and never started on the rite-aid one.

what i really need to do is use up my stockpiles down to more manageable levels. just too bad some things i have so much of and some things i need to buy. way too much pasta, candy and mp juice boxes. no good cracker deals. i actually have to buy some soon.

I'll trade you crackers for pasta! Waaaayy too much sauce and crackers, thanks to Safeway. Love how BOGO's work there, they auto of the shelf price, instead of the sale price!Wink

I've got a question about the free Maalox wyb Prevacid deal. Can you use Maalox Qs on this or is it YMMV? I wouldn't be buying anything but Maalox and Prevacid to my knowledge.

why can't i have a safeway or publix??? over here it's pretty much by the rulebook.

we just started recently getting a little bit of overage at my supermarket. the coupons are sometimes deducting from the sale price instead of the price plus card (loyalty card) price but nothing to get too excited about. a qtr here and there, maybe and limited to 4 like coupons doubling so not much shenanigans to be had.

the next 2 wks will be interesting. they are running some massive catalina campaigns and some of the items look to be free after catalina and mm's after mq's. everybody over in the thread is busy coming up w/ scenarios for the next 2 wks. but the catalinas have to be redeemed over a 4 wk period and some stores are extremely firm about the rules. gonna be lots of wailing when people mess up the redemptions. happened w/ the last round couple months ago when you could only redeem them on certain categories like toys and batteries. glad i stayed out of that mess!
