Lisa & Ank~ What cute babies!! heart

Quote from _Gator_ :
my boys are both in size 5. my older guy has been in them for 2 years and my little guy for about a year. crazy. i could've probably left them in size 4 longer but i ran out of that size in my stockpile. i recommend stocking up on size 3.
I remember Soph using a lot of 3's and some 4's and a few 5's. It is crazy how much each one differs.

Quote from Thrifteh :
When I had JJ nearly all of the other mom's in the 2009 lounge baby thread used a minimum of 8 packs of NB jumbo (approx 40 dipes/pk). We used 12 NB jumbo packs. Birth size was anywhere from 6#9oz (my peanut) to over 8 nearly 9#s for those babehs. I know this is a moot point for Lisa since Trevor is already here, but for other expecting moms. Dontknow

Also, on wipes it should state a BUTTLOAD! laugh out loud
Yeah I have 6 packs of newborn diapers already. That was just a list that was passed around. I guess I could get a box of newborn diapers and then give it as a gift if we don't end up needed it!

laugh out loud Yes it should say that for wipes!

Quote from thismom4deals :
So....is it typical for most kids to wear 4-5 for quite awhile? Geesh dd got to a 3. We bought a couple packs of 4 when she was just wearing them overnight for a bit, more for absorbency and the sheer fact that a pack lasted so long @ 1 per day that I feared she'd outgrow them all of a sudden and we'd be out the money if we got 3's. I didn't REALLY heavily start using q's until after she was born so I stockpiled some dipes but not nearly that many. And I only went up to like a 2-3. In fact I recall those special size 2-3 Pampers swaddlers fitting her pretty late in the game. We had some of those in our stockpile. If I ever have another one I'd just hate to buy 4's and 5's and have 'em go to waste.......hmmmmm.

DD was 6 lbs. 5 oz. and was under 6lbs. by the time we brought her home....we ended up using a few packs of preemie dipes then went to newborn, where we probably used 10 or so packs too. She is just an odd-shaped kid I guess LMAO
I think it depends on the kid and how early they potty train. Soph had chubby thighs, so I remember having to move her up to the next size bc of the leg holes not being big enough, but then having to make the waist extra tight on her. I see they make diapers that go up to size 7 nowadays, but Soph never even wore a size 6 and only a few 5's. Dontknow

Here is what I currently have stocked up for the new baby:
  • Newborn~ 216
  • Size 1~ 704
  • Size 2~ 708
  • Size 2/3~ 210
  • Size 3~ 1410
  • Size 4~ 1407
  • Size 5~ 887
  • Size 6~ 100
  • WIpes~ Not nearly enough! laugh out loud
This is individual diaper counts, NOT boxes! laugh out loud
This is a combo of the Amazon deals (current and back in fall) and from diaper deals at the local stores in combination with Qs. Actually most of it is NOT from Amazon, I have done quite a bit of stockpiling from this deal, but I have a good sized stash before they came along. nod

We used a TON of size 5s between both kids, and our 2nd actually was in 6s right before PTing. I was never a fan of diaper blowouts, so I tended to move my kids up a size in diapes pretty quickly.

The larger the diaper, the more $hit it can hold. Kinda reminds me of the deals thread... I think there are definitely some size 6s and 7s over there Coverlaugh

laugh out loud Well I edited my post to say it was an individual diaper count, not boxes! laugh out loud But most of it is in a coat closet. We have 2 coat closets in my downstairs, and I live in the Bay Area in Ca, so no need for that many coats around here! laugh out loud So last year I condensed both closets into one and made the other a diaper closet. Embarrassment
Now that I have done the Amazon orders, I had a stack in my living room. I was out at T buying totes to store them all in and while I was gone, my brother moved them all up to his room. He does that stuff when I am not here so I can't help! Silly guy! Anyways, he just stacked them against the wall in his room. Also I have a large storage unit that is in my backyard. I can put anything out there as long as it is water proof (please don't get me started on my hubby's fixes with the storage unit! Rach has had to suffer through MANY phone calls of me bitching about it! laugh out loud). Hence me buying 6 totes today.

You should have seen me last weekend when I went treking around looking for Parents mags. Lots of our local grocery stores don't even carry them. They carry Cesar Milan's frickin' Dog Whisperer magazine, but not Parents. (no offense to the Dog Whisperer laugh out loud) I was totally Censored2 when I left those stores.

well, i wouldn't say it's the ugliest but now isn't the greatest time to go to get the best impression. most of baltimore is pretty ugly/bad neighborhoods except for inner harbor. i think philly has a few more nicer places. just don't watch parking wars or you won't think so.

i don't really think there are any hotels in that area but do not stay near the italian market, i want to say do not stay south of it but not sure . we've gone to cirque du soleil a couple times and first time found on the street parking, rethought that idea b/c the neighborhood was so rough and paid the $20 for their parking.

i've been to the cherry blossom festival a couple times and very impressed w/ fairmount park.

if you've never been, i would go to independence hall and the liberty bell b/c you have to do that once in your life. reading terminal market (there's a famous ice cream place there), cheese steaks from pat's and geno's to compare and see what all the fuss is about.

i'm so glad you are having a good time w/ your bf after all you've been thru.

Trevor... handsome little dude... prayers for him, I hope all goes well .

Yeah I think ! I hope! that $330 in deals down to $2 is cow pucky . I really don't see from the deals I know about how that was even possible , not to mention high profile., even it was legtimately possible. I don't shop that store but it's fairly close.

Thanks! That is what I figured.. I just ordered some huggies and luvs instead Wink

Went to burlington today finally.. It is about 30 mins away.. Found a TON of magazines, but only took a few.. They all had the same beginning codes.. But found some more at a different store and managed to pair up enough codes to order my SIL about 3 boxes of diapers. had one extra 10.00 code and used it to buy my DD a set of princess sheets for her toddler bed bounce

I had a busy but good day.. Volunteered at the place that my kids take some classes each Tuesday helping the lady who does meals for them.. Then, I decided to take my toddler to chuck e cheese's since it was right near burlington. Let her play for about an hour before we headed into there. Left and picked up the kids, headed to target, came home and played outside with my DD for over an hour. She had me jumoing on the trampoline with her and everything.. I was worn out nod
needless to say, she passed out very easily at bedtime tonight..

Now, I am having some relaxing time to myself.. Hoping I don't get called into workRoll Eyes (Sarcastic)

What kind of storage unit do you have? Just a shed or something else? I'm trying to figure out something we can put in our backyard to move stuff out of the garage.

I just Pray it runs its course in a week. I had bronchitis for 10+ weeks when I was preggo with JJ. Lemme tell ya hellacious coughing fits with a babeh on the bladder was not cool. IIRC Dazzled had the same issue when preggo with E.

Well it was a structure that someone had lived in before (previous owners). It had insulation, carpetting, electricity and even an air conditioner. Then the roof was damaged and so there was mold exposure in it. The guys gutted most of one side and then we had the roof redone. Unfortunately my dh (which at the moment the D stands for dumb a$$hole Annoyed but that is another story all together...) decided he could do the side wall by himself, without any professional help. My hubby is a computer nerd and a GREAT cook, but not really handy. It didn't go well. He cutout the old wood before he had prepped the new stuff. It ended up raining and all the wood warped. Of course it has been rainy season since. I called many ppl for help (including MANY phone calls to poor Rach) and we finally settled on tarp that covers that whole side of the structure and only using it for water proof things for now. We will try to fix the rest of the mess when the rain leaves us! laugh out loud
Ours is quite large! Like almost the length of our house and pretty deep as well. My brother lived in there for a while, and it was a VERY spacious room! laugh out loud I looked into buying a waterproof shed for here, but they were soo pricey, that I decided we should just fix ours up, but as you can see, it has been quite the drama filled event.
