My scratch my head question for today.

do folks in the deals thread REALLY not know that there is a printable thread on SD?

do folks in the deals thread also NOT KNOW that Q previews are posted sometimes 2 weeks in advance of the Qs coming out?

It's just mind-boggling to me if folks don't venture out PAST the deals thread and wait for someone to repost the same stuff that's been posted for 10 days.

(I'm on a smoke break at work... nope, don't smoke, but it's 15 minutes I can steal and not do real work).

I pack my boys' lunches for school and I am really struggling for creative ways to get veggies in there. I need some suggestions.
Do they do veggies and dip or veggies and cheese? Veggie soup? Salad? Veggie pizza - yummmmmmyyyy favourite here... And try hiding them in other things. I think there was a cookbook out that talked about how to hide veggies. I forget what it is called - but I'm sure someone with a little more brain capacity will be along shortly to fill in the blanks.

Another thing I would often do is use dinner for veggies and lunch for fruits. Seemed to work a bit easier for me since I was pretty much always assured that they'd eat fruit when I wasn't looking but veggies not so much.

Pretty easy deal, just requires a lot of searching for codes! :n od:
Thank you, I just saw a MOD post no trading in that thread.

Mavis is soooooooo stinkin' cute. She does the "bear crawl" - on her hands and feet w/bum in the air. It's so funny. She'll crawl a little bit, sit up and look for one of us to see us watching, then sit there and clap with a huge goofy grin on her face. She is also trying to pull up/stand up against the play-pen and also the table. :hea rt:
She is way stinking cute! She will be walking way to soon. nod

Oh back pain is so awful..especially at such a young age. Prayers for her. Hope she gets better soon!
Yea it is! I can't believe how horrible I feel when I have a back attack. I can't imagine living that way every day. Just getting through the day at home is so exhausting being in that much pain. I will keep her in my Pray Tracy and hope for the best for her.

Thrift I hope you find some relief. Sometimes we will get so stuffed up we get the horrible pain you are talking about. Some OTC meds make it worse because it dries you out even more and the gunk is so clogged up, what you really need is drainage. You can google for more info but one thing DH and I use, which has always worked for us to get some relief is to drink some RAW apple cidar vinegar. I know it sounds terrible and it doesn't taste very good either but really it is not to bad since you only put about one tsp in 8 oz of water. (to start, some people do 2 TBS to 16 oz water) You can add honey or something. Then I just chug it (like a shot Wink ) and chase it with something that tastes good, I usually drink some OJ after. Some sites recommend to sip it but I can't do that. The trick is to get the gunk flowing out of your sinus and if you are really dry and the gunk is really stuck it may take several shots to get it going. You will know when it starts draining because it will most likely make you start coughing as it drains down the back of your throat. You are supposed to drink it about three times a day but once you get used to doing it you can tell if you need to drink it more of less often by how much draining you have.

Hope you find your neti pot, steam helps too, a nice long and hot shower. If you think it is developing into an infection garlic will help. I mince a clove, put it on a teaspoon and swallow it with OJ, three times a day since it is an antibiotic you take it the same way.

http://www.earthclinic.com/Remedi...l#DRINKACV

I know the home remedies sound crazy to a lot of people but DH used to get a horrible sinus infections every single year, sometimes twice a year. It always started with the congestion that would get worse and worse. He would get temps up to 104 he was so sick and in horrible pain, he swore he was gonna die. Ever since we started using the raw apple cidar vinegar and eating the raw garlic at the first signs of the sinus congestion he has not had a sinus infection develope and has started feeling better again in a day or two and it has been 6 years now without a sinus infection, so there has to be something to it.

Just be careful on the Atkin Shake Deal. Someone over in that thread was posting that it looks like you could be in for a fight. As the description clearly states 24 pack but the UPC # is for a 4 pack. The company may just end up sending 4 packs per the UPS instead of what was described. I'm extremely interested but not sure I'm willing to take the risk of fighting with them over the whole thing.
The same thing happened last fall with the Cascade Farms granola bars. I called the vender and their customer service was so gosh darned nice about the whole deal, I actually felt bad about even calling. They refunded the whole purchase price and shipping and told me to keep the the 2 boxes (different flavors) that had come for my trouble. Sometimes I think people call to complain with such attitude and anger that a lot of CS reps just have no incentive to work with the customer. I know I wouldn't like their job! When and if I call a company I always start off by telling them how much I love their product and tell them I know it's not their fault. I usually make out pretty well.

Odd thing at Target today. There was a sale tag on the Finish Quantum 10 count dated for this week with a price much higher than $2.50. I can't remember what it was -- $4something. (It was not $5.99 for the 25 or 32 count). They did scan $2.50. I just thought it was really weird especially with the specific dates on the price. I'm pretty sure it was 2/27 to 3/5 same as the ad.

Got 2 ibuprofen, 2 Excedrin, 4 Finish, 4 cleaner w/bleach, 4 more jeans for DD. The jeans were completely free, there is no sales tax on clothes in MN. I also got a desk calendar for DH's office, a set of king size sheets for $11 and a very thin black cardigan for me for $4. I tend to roast so thin is good -- plus I can shove the sleeves up.

I knew what you ment, Jerry's wife, they beat me to it.

You should start again, there are many health benefits to it. It smells like Easter time to me. I usually add a bit of agave nectar or honey and it tastes like sour lemonaid to me. I wish I liked the taste! One of my friends likes the taste too and she is so weird, she will eat those cup of ramen noodles by just adding the raw apple cidar vinegar to the cup of noodles and eat it, no cooking or anything. lol!

The same thing for me the day before yesterday. The price on the Finish said something like $5.99 but it rang up $2.50 bounce

Probably just lazy, maybe they don't know. I rarely check any other thread because I am usually in here or on the deals thread so I do like when someone posts a good printable and I don't mind them posting the new coupons either since I am usually behind and would miss the post otherwise. I do know what you mean though, when I actually am able to keep up with reading the deals thread the repitition gets annoying.

Ugh... I think these are the only things that work for us - I'd hate to pay full price for them.

Yes... yes I should. In fact, I may just go grab me some. And some popcorn kernels. Cuz they are important...

And while I enjoy the taste of vinegar - don't know if I could do the ramen noodle/vinegar combo. I'm not that adventurous... but next time I'm pregnant, mention it and we'll see what happens. laugh out loud

I will try to remember, and did you see on that pennyless parenting where she makes green popcorn? It actually kinda sounded good to me.
