This is terrible. CNN showed an entire town being washed away from an aerial view.

Watch CNN right now!!!!!

There this big wave rushing through Japan. A big ship just rushed by a house. There's a building on fire being carried along by the wave. It's unreal.

Ugh, this is so terrible. I'm in CA and I thought it was bad here, but we don't even get those devastating tsunamis.

It's the same here. California is just as earthquake prone as Japan. What happened there could happen here. Could? Will. It's a matter of time. I hope more Californians put togther BoBs. My friends think I'm crazy for doing it. This is why.

Totally agree. You can never be too prepared. I was a toddler during Loma Prieta but I still remember how scary that was and that was only a 6.9.

Yikes! Hopefully he will be ok. I hope a big tsunami doesn't hit. I have family in Taiwan and they have tsunami warnings as well.

An oil refinery north of Tokyo is burning out of control, they're showing it on CNN. There are reports that the Tsunami that hit Japan was 12 feet high.

One of the aftershocks was a 7.1. Here's the full list of quakes for that area.

NVM. Found it. Here's the warning. California is listed as not under the warning.

If Guam gets a tsunami, it figures this would happen while I'm on Guam for the first time in my life...I leave Guam early Saturday morning (local time) and will be in Hawaii Friday evening (layover on my way home). I haven't checked the estimated time for any tsunami on Guam or Hawaii (I assume they can calculate that Dontknow ).

Pray That the loss of life won't be too severe in Japan.

Check my post right before yours. There's a link with the arrival times for both Guam and Hawaii.
