It might be like Paint says, and just be milkfat, since I can eat all the cheese I like without issue.
Well, that's not true for me. I definitely feel it after eating more than a smaller amount of a higher-fat cheese like cheddar. Mozzarella's about the only exception. I can eat that all the live long day.

Nah. I think it has to do more with milkfat content than actual lactose. I'm fine with lowfat milk products in moderation (except actual milk).
Interesting. Scratchchin

What about skim milk? Have you tried that?

Hhmmm, I have not heard of this before. Do they not use milkfat in cheese?

That's so strange. I wonder what it is exactly! Food allergies and intolerance fascinate me. I don't think there's anything I've ever eaten that has given me any sorts of issues. Well, other than the one time I swallowed my tongue ring... but that was an accident. laugh out loud

Yeah, I have no idea. It puzzles me as well. I just know dairy = bad, but lowfat dairy = bearable. I can have milkshakes and ice cream as long as I'm okay with the potential consequences later. And different brands of ice cream affect me differently (some just make me feel bad, some like Coldstone get pretty bad... but are so worth it).

Hhmmm, that is odd. Maybe it's some other protein or something.

Huh

You must have had something else. If anything, I'd say it's too chocolatey because it's a darker chocolate. It's also really thick.

bulb Maybe you had the light version?

No, I'm pretty sure it was silk. I think that was the company giving away the free coupons. It was quite a few years ago though, so maybe they changed their formula since then? Dontknow

Maybe, but I've been drinking it since HS... 5-6 years now?

I do know that the light (low-fat) version of the vanilla tastes watered-down. I've never had the chocolate, though.

It wasn't thin or watery anything, it just tasted like flavored water. Kind of like someone that tried to make hot chocolate from scratch, but used water instead of milk. I didn't try the light, I figure that would taste really awful. laugh out loud

And I think it was longer than that. I'm pretty sure it was before DS was born, so more than 6 years ago I think.
