March 18, 2011, 3:13 am: System Notice: This thread content has been automatically archived from another thread which reached post limit, and will be preserved for reference and archival purposes. The discussion should continue in the original thread

Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

So, I hope it catches on !

So pop a beer and pull up a chair and relax !

They used to have these plastic clips that the side of the t-shirts slid into, bringing it up one one side. This works for me as I am short and the shirts are long. Is that what you mean? It has to have some kind of an opening inside (maybe a rod across) and then the bandana will slide right through and then tie it on the bottom inside hook if that is how it is made. I hope.
That's exactly what I meant, but didn't know how to explain it! We'll need to get creative after the buckles ship.

So I had a UPS notice on my door when I got home last night -- something from Amazon. I haven't ordered anything from Amazon for a while so couldn't figure out what they heck was being sent. I told them to leave it in front of the door today, so when I got home, I found my winnings from the Extra Gum Smackdown. A really cute portable AM/FM radio with an alarm clock and it even came with ear buds. I'm impressed. I bought it with my first $10 GC. I have another one but there's nothing but cookbooks this time around for $10. I'm hoping to win another $10 and add them together.
I don't know if you feel like writing reviews, but for 5 reviews, you get a $5 amazon GC. https://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?p=37959311#post37959311

Miss Beatrice,

The church organist,

Was in her eighties

And had never been married. She was admired for her
sweetness and kindness to all.

One afternoon the pastor

came to call on her and she showed him into her quaint

sitting room.

She invited him to have a

seat while she prepared tea...

As he sat facing her old Hammond organ, the young

minister noticed a cut glass
bowl Sitting on top of it.

The bowl was filled with water,

and in the water floated. of all

things,a condom!
When she returned

With tea and scones,they

began to chat. The pastor

tried to stifle his curiosity

About the bowl of water and its
strange floater, but soon it got the better of him and he could no longer resist.

'Miss Beatrice', he said,

'I wonder if you would tell me about this?

Pointing to the bowl.

'Oh, yes,' she replied, 'Isn't it
wonderful? I was walking

through the park a few

months ago and I found

this little package on the
ground.

The directions said

To place it on the organ,

Keep it wet and that it would prevent the spread of disease.
Do you know I haven't had the flu all winter. EEK!

Do you completely shut down your computers at night when you're done for the day? If you just minimize (not close) your browser, and put your computer into Sleep or Hibernate mode (instead of completely shutting down) then when you "wake" your computer, and maximize your browser, you will be on the same page you left off on....no need to leave a comment before you leave for the night, or search for the page again.
That's what I do. I have 3 Tabs always open for the FF and the Snus page, and then my email. I just put the computer to sleep (and turn off the mouse--hoping to save batteries) and then the next day when it wakes up, I can go to each tab and that's where I left off. Then I Refresh the page to see what's new from where I left off.

I got one of two of the coolers today -- I really like it. It's quite roomy, and comes with two metal water bottles, which I was looking for anyways.

Seems to me that's the easiest way to pick up where you left off. Plus, when they archive the thread, and start a new one, the new thread is automatically there....don't have to go searching for it. I have never had a problem finding the thread when a new one is started, and don't really understand why others do.
You can also set your Hompage options (in Firefox & Chrome) to automatically open all the tabs that were open when you closed the browser. So, if you do close the browser and/or shut down your computer, the tabs will all come back when you open the browser again.
