Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Take it out once a week, plug it in, and run Windows Update on it. You want to keep Windows (and whatever AV you run) up to date so if/when you finally take a trip, you aren't spending ours before (or worse, DURING, maybe on dialup speeds) getting it updated.

That should keep the battery topped up.

Our heat pump went out last summer during the hottest part. Out for a MONTH, I was finally getting ready to call places to fix it, and decided to take a look at it. Turned out a wire had broken off. Shut down power to it, crimped a new connector back on it, plugged it back in, powered it back up, and it worked. I was REALLY glad about that, we couldn't have afforded a new system, or even refilling the old one, if it were "really" broken.

Thanks...I appreciate your posting this, since the contest ends on March 31. I had a total of 780 points and MM had 270. I just redeemed them all for contest entries. We didn't win anything either, but I might have lost a bunch of entries, if not for your heads up!

can't tell you how many times he said he went out took the back off the tv and fiddled around and put it back together and plugged in the plug that was unplugged and charged them for the call

MY air went out last year when it was a week of 90's thought it needed a new motor
was just the starter capacitor, good to have someone you know in the business
