Hi all,
I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.
Everyone is welcome!
I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.
This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

Dog foods are full of various grains. Without a blood test we won't know for sure. But I'm hoping this shot will calm the scratching down until we can figure it out for sure. Poor guy!

Administer one 25mg tablet for every 50 pounds of body weight. Divide a tablet with a sharp knife, accordingly, for small dogs.

Thank you! From what other people have told us, Labs in particular can be allergic to corn. We already got some food without that grain, but like people, it will take a while to get out of his system. Being the second person today to recommend diphenhydramine, I will certainly try that less expensive remedy and see what the outcome is.
One of my last two Labs tore the ligament in her hind leg, and two months later it happened to her other hind leg. She was my $3000 dog. Gotta love 'em!
