Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Hope your headache is better. I just finished loading everything on my netbook. Microsoft finally called - the big honcho - and have all windows updates, all 55 of them. but not IE9 - which I already had loaded on the desktop, Was on my way to turn on the desktop for the 1st time since it is home, and someone likes me. I was halfway down the hall and the power failed again. Now my cable is completely off. So now that my netbook is really good, i need to back it up again. but samsung said there is not sufficient room on the d drive which i set up to do a second or more backups. so I have to buy a external hard drive. staples has one with 1000 gb (I think that is what he said.) on sale for $100. Is that what I should do? samsung said that backups do not overwrite the previous ones that they create new ones. I will wait until you are better enuf to answer me to decide what to do. but now that I finally fixed this one, I want to back it up so that never happens again and I figure I could use that large external drive to back up my HP desktop also? so sorry to bother you again.

I have not called the Humane Society, although I've thought about it. I wondered if his itching was one of the reasons he was homeless. I will take all suggestions into consideration, and I'll ask tomorrow about things that could be causing this other than allergies. I'll also ask about meds such as prednisone. Thanks for your interest and concern!

The Prednisone is a temporary cure, but a really quick one. What is good about it is it is not really expensive. The pills my vet gives me are exactly the same ones I get from the pharmacy when my Doc puts me on it. Lots of human meds are the same as animal meds, you'd be surprised as to how many.

Not that anyone might find this as interesting as me, but: First; I never won anything in my life over the value of the tent in the OWTW contes; Second; I was born in Marlboro, Ma, and Third; My first cigg smoked was MARLBORO!!!! Isn't that sooo cool?

Just a note: I had a dog who also had the flea problem, each day I gave him a yeast pill, morning and night. Once the itching stopped which was within a week, I gave him one per day and he never had that problem ever again. The human yeast tablets worked as well as the tabs for dogs

It is good you changed vets. When I moved and had to change vets, I had a 10yr old cat. Used the locally recommended vet and he said he would die soon. I found another little vet a little further and he lived 9 more years. Different medicine and occasional iv treatments. Like some doctors, vets can sometimes misdiagnose meds and treatments I guess.
