Hi all,
I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.
Everyone is welcome!
I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.
This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.
So, I hope it catches on !

I can't imagine living where tornados happen...gotta be so scary! We had a huge wind storm the first winter in this house...knocked the power out for four days. No generator then, but neighbors with electic heat gathered here and I cooked for everyone on my wood stove. We had just moved in, and didn't even have a stove to cook on yet. The bridge over Hood Canal got blown away and wasn't re-built for several years. But that was an unusual storm...nothing like tornados or hurricanes that happen in other parts of the US.
We used to go camping up in the mountains, One time a bear came into camp while we were sleeping. My husband was snoring realy bad and every time he did the bear would press its nose up against the tent and snort!!! I was terrified. My son was only 4 months old so I put him in the middle and scooted close. I couldnt get my husband to wake up so I rolled hium over to the edge of the tent away from us!!!! If the bear attacked I wanted to be as far away as possible so I could protect my son!!! My husband never forgave me for that one!!!

That was probably the Hood Canal Bridge...1978 or 1979. The bears here are black or brown bears, pretty harmless if you don't bother their youngsters.

Family is important. It's just the cities that are scary with opportunistic people. I believe in karma, and that most people have good hearts. Gotta get some sleep. I'm glad you didn't get blown away!

FAR less movement than when they tested the MOAB (or maybe it was the FOAB) 15-20 miles away at the time in FL. Was sitting in my computer chair, and the whole house moved back and forth under my chair. Military denied there was a test for months, but it finally came out later that they had tested one (why they kept it hush-hush, I'll never understand, as they advertised previous tests).
We are originally from Sonoma County California, Santa Rosa. And I have lived through quite alot earth quakes, being my apartment ran straight with San Andreas Fault
Us too!!! we lived in the getto our rent was 1500.00 2 bed 1 bath to dodge bullets and find serigines in the street. Had saved some money but what were we going to buy???? Oregon no sales tax, registration on vehicles is 84.00 for 2 years. and 3 bedroom 1 bath home on 1/2 acre in a nice place ( old folks home across the street) don't have to go far when retired
Thanks...no kids, just the big, yellow, slobbery ones! I love being a Dog Mom! It just goes to show that a second opinion is sometimes a good idea. Needless to say I am feeling much better too!
