hughughug A few extra from me...

I hope it went well. I was super scared as a child so when I came of age I never went. I paid dearly for not going and had very bad teeth. I had finally found a dentist who was kind and gave lots and lots of laughing gas.

After that I couldn't wait to go for my next appt...LMAO

On the bright side it helped my fear, my teeth are as good as they can be (which isn't super) and I get cleanings every 3 months to try and not have anything else done that will hurt...Embarrassment

Still waiting for belly pics...Big Grin
I had poor dental care as a child, and when I was 15 I got a job cashiering at a grocery store that was unionized, so even as a part-timer I had dental insurance. That started my loooong road to fixing my teeth. Now add to that my years of grinding/clenching in my sleep (again, thanks to that pretty bad childhood- I guess I internalize everything and take it out on my teeth) and I've broken nearly every back tooth I have, so I've been through multiple root canals and crowns. My insurance covers $1500 a year, so that is basically two crowns and then I pay out of pocket. I'm waiting for my insurance company to come back with the ok for two front crowns- they put the claim in over a month ago. Frown I've been only chewing on the left side of my mouth for over a year!

I've found that books on my Ipod really help, but no laughing gas for this preggo momma. shake head

When Wexie comes this weekend we'll take pics, and you guys can see my chunky monkey self! Stick Out Tongue

I guess im lucky i didnt have to have a d&c, i cant imagine dealing with that. Ds #2 had a similar expreiance with gage as you did with lexi, although the doc was a real jerk and had 0 compassion. I thought my mom was going to kill him, and he was the only one avaliable at the time. DS #1 just had a boy on Sat. He was #4 for her, and he took the longest, almost 2 weeks late they finally induced and 37 hrs later he finally got here..and the crazy woman only had pain meds for the last 2 hrsOMG
That poor woman was 2 weeks late on her 4th?! EEK! I couldn't imagine! They aren't letting me go past 39 weeks. The game plan is, if she comes naturally (like Daniel did- best delivery ever!) and there are no dips in her heart rate and the labor is progressing smoothly, then we'll do the vbac. But if anything at all looks like the remote possibility that there could be trouble or the cord compressed, we are going right in for the c-section. If she does not come by 39 weeks, then scheduled c-section.

I really want to try to find out which nurse I had for Jason's delivery, and ask for her again. She notice the tiny little dip in his hb, and without letting us know or freaking us out, she got the dr and they rushed us in to the emergency c-section. I truly believed she saved Jason's life with her actions, and she did it so expertly that we didn't even know. Then we busted that little dude out of NICU a few days later and took him home for Christmas! bounce

You should watch Priceless? Did anyone take my suggestion and watch it? I want to chit chat about it, and I only have Kate to do so with.

I didn't have dental care until I was about 16. I was lucky, I only had a few cavities, and then I had a few more after college. But I haven't needed a root canal, or anything like that. Considering I marginally care about my teeth, I feel pretty lucky.

thanks all for the dentist advice!! I made it through the apt just fine, the dentist was quite aware of how nervous i was and he was sooo nice and kept me pretty calm. I was sooo excited when he said that i had great teeth i almost hugged him as i was sure i needed major work done. Turns out i have no cavitys and my tooth pain is due to my sinus's still being inflamed and swollen from being sick, they are putting pressure on my nerve in one tooth. Great news on the cavitys, but the down side is he said it could be up to a month before it stops hurting. Guess its worth it to not need a root canalwoot
Glad everything went well & you don't need any major dental work!
