M2C- yes she just turned 4 in October, but this behavior didn't start until january, and had only gotten worse. Idk what to do either, I just pray we all survive this laugh out loud
You know, she also might be picking it up at school. Didn't she just start? I read something somewhere that it is kid's job to push the boundaries and test you and is our job as parents to show them exactly where those boundaries are. I'm telling you, you will survive. Just keep strong. When Cole was having his random "I'm going to act like a $hit head month" I called my best friend from our closet while I was sobbing telling her that I must be a bad mom because a) my kid is acting like an a$$ and b) it makes me want to beat the crap out of him. Just hang in there. hug

Just had an amazing visit with the Wexie family! Her kids are so adorable and showed such great manners (especially next to my little animals) The funny thing is, our husbands hit it off so well, they talked non-stop for more than 3 hours! She noticed my SF book collection, I showed her one of my stockpile closets and the dipes in baby's room! Smilie
Here are some pics:

AWESOME! I need to find me some more codes! You are going to have such fun time stalking you mailman! Can you please show us pics of you loot so we can live vicariously through you?
What I need to take a picture of is the HUGE stack of flattened amazon boxes that will be going out with the recycle on Tuesday. Wink

I'm going to do some more Amazon orders tonight. If anyone wants to trade either YT or YJ for some $10 codes let me know. I have a ton of the $10 ones and the Fisher Price brand diapers are free with just 1 of the 20% off codes + S&S + $10.

I'm so happy for you both. And sad to admit that I'm so jealous. I would love to one day meet some of you fabulous folks, but stupy me has to live clear across the country. Sadwalk
Don't get too sad...did I tell you that my IRL friend is getting married at Warm Beach? I am thinking that I will at least come out...not sure if the whole family will or not, but she is the guardian to our two little angels, so it might be good to meet her DH! He is from Jamaica and they met when she was on a year long mission there many years ago. She helped him through college and now they have fallen in love! heart They are waiting for the fiance visa and then they have 3 months to actually get married, so we are not sure when the wedding will be, but I am pretty sure I am coming out! So, if you are not up from a visit by me, you better watch out what you wish for!

Take a lesson from my parents and buy an old timey alarm clock that goes clang-clang when it goes off and set it in an aluminum wash pan. Set it for the time she is supposed to be home and you go to bed. If she turns it off (R U N N I N G for the clock) you still get to sleep peacefully. If not, then you get woke up and get to be there when she gets back in.

I have 3 other friends whose mom's all did this too. I've never been late Wink
I set my cell phone alarm clock for about 15 minutes after her cerfew. She has to wake me up when she gets home if I am asleep, so then I turn off the alarm...I was awake last night, so no big deal...I thought DH was asleep as well last night, but he was talking to her on his phone upstairs. Her ride home had a flat tire last week (which I knew about) and she still had the doughnut tire on, so they were taking it slow and didn't take the interstate home, so it was taking them longer to get home then they thought...so the story goes! DH said he was fine with not grouding her this time...I still want to throw the book at her so it doesn't happen again and she plans ahead more. I have been more into logic than emotion lately with my kids...DH calls it being a B...whatever!

Please let me know what the papers costs. Don't give me another project of looking up newspapers in Calf or you WILL be sorry.

No need for any other q's. The only other good one that is out is one of those coupon thingies in the store.

It a BOGO for Cesar dog food. So far the only thing the furgirl will eat. Cesar Sunrise...With Smoked Bacon & Egg :rolleyes :

I was able to get some of those q's at Publix and use them at T today...:nod :

Love ya lots and lots
hug heart Don't worry, J did a lot of the work again today! He went out with me to all the stores (RA for sardines Yuk but rolled all my Ups, Lola's for the makings for carninitas yummy, the consignment sale, SW for a few small grocery items, and CVS for the papers). Also, I found out that CVS had the newest issue of Parents, so I was rewarded!

I am pretty sure that the cost was $5 for all of them, like on ebay....Whistling

Hmmm, I haven't seen the dog food ones, but I will look when I go to SW tomorrow. It is inevitable that I will be going a lot right now bc of the frozen food deals they are running, at least until the 8th. LOL

Oh I call Rach constantly and we compare who is getting the "mother of the year award" for our latest adventures Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) I think I am currently winning the title, but don't worry, a new day starts tomorrow. laugh out loud She did just start school, and I know she is learning some behaviors I never taught her. Thanks for your words of support! hug

I was actually gonna come post that I found some YJ's on Friday, but was not feeling well enough to post about it. I have 5 YJ's to trade for some $10 codes.

Iagree with you! I am all about teaching Alexa to prepare for the unexpected. If you only leave with just enough time to get somewhere, then you are very likely to be late. She has been punished for this exact thing before (well not a night curfew, but being home at a certain time and then 'sometime' came up). I do not think your being a B at all!

So I just finished reading The Travelers Wife. It was a good book, but I found it was more confusing to read it then it was to watch the movie, if that makes sense. Also I didn't like the ending. IDK why. I haven't felt disappointed from reading a book in a while, but thats kinda how I felt reading this one Dontknow Anyways, now on to figure out the next book to read.

I don't think your being a B either, we do have set rules for when they are out and for when they return, and mine are 19 and 17, we have never changed the rules even from when they were younger they learned that it works for them ( i guess because they have never asked for a later curfew etc) they get a couple oppertunities to be out later during the year and that works. We only had to ever ground them twice after that they got the idea Big Grin

I am about to go out to dinner with my daddy and little bro and maybe my sister if she is awake(night shifts as a nurse!) I'm not hungry but I'm sure my dad would appreciate some time with all his kids!
Hope you had fun at dinner (and I agree - Bre is a keeper heart)

Oooooo, that is evil! Thank goodness my parents never had this idea lol. Actually, I came home on time or never went out in the first place and then snuck out when they went to bed at 11. Cool I wasn't doing terrible bad things (a little beer) but I ran with a more how do you say...mature crowd. Teehee

Happy Saturday night! Sitting here waiting for my DD to get home from her "boyfriend's" house. She has to be home by 11:30, so we will see if she makes it on time! A little grounding might have to happen Smilie

Started the day by just noticing that my coffee pot was gone...DH said that it was gross and he couldn't get it "clean", so he threw it away. It was just "seasoned"! So, I was a bad SD person and just went out and bought a $30 one with no coupons. What joy I will have tomorrow when the coffee is done when I get up! I have never had a "delayed" coffee pot. Let's see if it works! It could become addicting I think!

************Update************

A grounding it will be...11:53 and still no kiddo! "she is on her way"...that just doesn't count in my book!
I really don't miss those days at all...Can't wait to see how my DS handles it when the grkids get that age,,,,(well, actually, I can wait)--I don't want them to grow up!

Quote from timelinedawn :
So yesterday we started the long journey of looking for a house! Our house that we are renting has become to small and it will cost a fortune to finish the basement because the house is old and the plumbing and electrical will need to be redone. Also, our house is in a really expensive neighborhood so we can get a MUCH bigger house if we let go of living in the area. We found a really great neighborhood directly behind my DH's office that we could get a house 3 times the size of our house for the same money and my husband could walk to work and come home for lunch. It would mean a little more driving or me to go to our usually places but only like 10 minutes. We found one house that is directly across from a park but it needs basic updating to the cabinets and the owner loves tacky wallpaper! We got a agent last night so we will start looking seriously next week when we see how much my dh's bonus turns out to be. Hopefully the right house will "speak" to us and it won't be that hard.
Where are you looking? I remember the house shopping in Denver.
