Good luck with that. A man bonds with his tv. Women watch gossip girl and crap like that to acheive an emotional connection with their media, men watch sports and receive a similar feedback. The greatest tragedies and comedies unfold on Sundays. And porn... need the clarity for porn.

Hey all! :wave I just got home from another lovely afternoon/evening out with my hubby! heart We went to BCF (someone else has been to it apparently too laugh out loud Oh well), T, the movies (Red Riding Hood), to an art showing, and then picked up dinner and brought it home for everyone. It has been really nice of Alexa to watch her sister (Uncle Shawn is upstairs, but she is the one doing the work of Sophia) for us to be able to have some alone time. J and I need to come up with something special for her, to let her know how much we appreciate what she does for our family.
Super cool thing about this weekend, is that today J did the run at T and he did one there yesterday by himself! : 2 runs from him in one weekend! : I am sure a lucky girl!!! heart I am happy also bc we are almost done with the huggies Q's! I have enough for 3 more runs, so I could get them all done this week! Yahoo! That makes me really excited! laugh out loud
Well those were the highlights of my day, I hope you all have had a great one too! ss:
DF did one on his own too! LOL Wonder what the cashiers think? O wait... they dont... DF is really good at finding Jedis of all ages. laugh out loud

I got Just Dance from Blockbuster. I told the guy that I was glad their store isn't closing, but at these prices...

Kate laughed... uncomfortably.

LD 2 is my way of not remembering the title of the game, Just Dance 2. Occasionally I will call it Dance Dance...

WiiFlow is a way to play game off of a hard drive. I talked about it a few months back after my brother left back to Texas.

Basically what you do (and it is a pain in the ass), is you take a blind leap of faith into the hands of computer/internet savvy people and hope they don't let you fall on your ass.

It wasn't that hard to do, but understanding what you are doing is nearly impossible. Basically if you can follow directions, you can soft mod the wii so you can play backup games, home brew games, and for the most part, illegally downloaded/copied games from your hard drive.

It is awesome, unless you have a 7 year old who invites friends over, shows them the capabilities of a soft-modded wii, and then that friend tells their parents that they want to be able to play their games that way too, and consequently you wind up with an awkward conversation about how you are morally loose.

So there you go. If you have questions, I may be able to help, but keep in mind that i was trying to install so much and I was doing a piss pot poor job of it until I lucked into an easy to find how to guide.
Thanks, I will think about it. I remember you saying you did something really difficult a while back.

We bought ours from Amazon because DH picked one out at BB and they didn't have it and couldn't order it even though it is still on the floor. We would just have to keep checking if they got it back in. Confused So I found it on Amazon free shipping and no tax. It was also a couple hundred cheaper. Took a week to get here though. Hope it doesn't give us trouble in any way but otherwise a good deal.

I wanted a new flat screen before the singstar party and got mine off of Amazon as well. I went to best buy and checked out the same tv in person. They couldn't even come close to the amazon price. It was 200.00 cheaper, no tax, they had a free tivo box deal at the time and it came delivered to my door in 2 days and the driver put the box right in my house! I would always recommend Amazon!

**I forgot it didn't come in 2 days but it was my fault. You pick the delivery date and I picked Wednesday but didn't realize I picked the Wednesday of the following week!

We did Bed, Bath and Beyond for more reasonable prices and William Sonoma for the fancy dishes and stuff. We are close to being married 10 years and are still using the WS dishes and everyone always compliments them.

You are looking at two high end stores...I would go with one high end and one reasonable.
Reasonable being...BBB, Target or Amazon

Here's the best guide I found and it breaks it down by firmware. I will warn you that I am VERY tech savvy and figuring this out kicked my ass. There isn't too much of a chance of breaking the wii, but there is a chance you will drive yourself nuckin futs trying to figure it out.
my bro did this type of thing with his Wii and my mother accused him of stealingWink

I wanted to make sure I included all price ranges. I reg at Macys for china but it was pretty pricey for some of the "friends" (my mother's people) that I invited. I also reg at kohls for towels and linen type things, and at target for small appliences (toaster) and outdoor type stuff (we bought a house at the same time and need hoses, planters and such).

Kate like GG. It has the same producer as The OC, which I LOVED!!! But it just isn't close to being the same. These kids on GG are just f'n retarded. Most 18 and 19 year olds aren't trusted with operating a slicer in a deli, and these brats are flying across the world operating multi-million dollar companies and being trend setters. Please!

And Chuck started out the show being an attempted rapist. And the stupid on again, off again relationship between him and the other girl... I hate it so much. I used to hate Inspector gadget and it was my worst show of all time... but this easily usurps the honor.

I try not to make requests very often because I know you all are very busy, but I have a prayer request..............

It's a long story, but the short version is my BC pills were giving my terrible migraines with increasing frequency (Like 4 a week) so finally in January I went off them in hopes I could convince DH to get a vasectomy so I wouldn't have to worry about it any more. (He wasn't liking that idea.......) Well, the month I wasn't on the pill is the month my bum ovary decides to work beautifully so I'm pregnant. I was having lots of pain and was convinced I had a tubal pregnancy and went to the doctor yesterday fully expecting bad news. Surprisingly, we saw a 6 week along pregnancy with a strong little heartbeat that was right where it belonged. The pain is an ovarian cyst that I have to wait out and I'm now on a myriad of meds to prevent miscarriage. I have another appointment in 2 weeks. We're trying to be cautiously optimistic - on the one hand only one of my previous pregnancies made it to a heartbeat so that is promising, but our history is just so hard to forget. We are praying that this might be our little miracle and I would so very much appreciate any prayers you all might send as well. Thanks.
Baseball season has started and I am crazy busy, but I just saw this and want you to know that I am praying hard for you and your little miracle! Positive thoughts! hug

We're back! I've missed you guys! I was trying to stay updated on the phone, but it was crappy service and my fingers kept punching the wrong letters, so it took me forever to type out a sentence. So many times I started a reply but was interrupted by a kid needing something, so I just scrapped the whole reply. I am really getting old.

Got the boys in bed last night, and around 2am I heard Danny crying and vomiting. He threw up all over his bed and himself. I got him calmed and in the tub while dh stripped the bed and washed the sheets. It was so bad we just threw his pillow away. vomit I remade his bed and stayed there with him as he threw up all night long. He was so worried about missing school today, and how excited he was about telling his teachers about his vacation. I finally got him to sleep a little from 10am-11am, but he wanted me to hold him and stroke his back. Butters was jealous and kept trying to get into bed with us, so he pretty much kept waking his brother up every 5 minutes. One time he bonked him in the head with his (clean) emesis basin. Poor Danny boy is passed out on the couch right now looking really pathetic. I am not a big tv person, but when a kid is sick, the rules go out the window, so he is allowed to stay on the couch and watch tv all day.

While this was going on all night, I started having some pretty bad stomach pains, and they progressively got worse over the night. I was having them earlier in the day in the car, but not nearly as bad as last night. Dh listened to the baby's hb with the doppler, and she was kicking and moving, so Maddie was ok. It hurts when I bend over, so we think that maybe I pulled a muscle in my expanding fat tummy from bending down and picking things and the baby up during the trip. Dh is coming home early from work to help me (he had a 9:30am class this morning, and is cancelling afternoon classes and will be home as soon as he picks Oscar up from the vet to help me with the boys)

Dh is worried and wants me to go the the ob this afternoon, but dr offices are crazy busy on Mondays, so we are probably looking at me sitting in a waiting room for 3 hours, and I am worried about being away from Danny while he is sick. Plus, this is my 5th pregnancy, so I know a bit about which are normal pains (like round ligamint and pulled muscles) and scary pains (like labor pains) These pains only happen when I bend over, and are at the way bottom of my belly, and do not radiate around to my back. It just kills me to see a trashed house, mounds of laundry to be done, and kids to be taken care of, and I can only sit on my arse and wait for dh to come home.

These pains also make dh upset, since they are happening because I did a little too much, and we received absolutely no help from his father and step-mom at all. In a nutshell, this trip was like a final "test" to see if they wanted to be part of our lives, and it was a horrible failure. They haven't seen us for a year, and basically treated us like an imposition. They hardly looked at the boys, let alone talked or played with them, and never once offered to help us with anything. It started with watching us unload the car when we arrived. Two healthy adults stood on the front porch and watched a nearly 6 month pregnant woman drag suitcases up the steps- dh had chased the baby in the back yard where there was a dangerous pond. When he saw me with the suitcases he got really upset and told me to sit down and he unloaded the whole car by himself.

They just sat in their living room all day, watching CNN and ignoring us. We tried to make the most of it and took the boys out all day long, so we wouldn't have to be around them. In the times that we were there, dh's father would crank the tv up so loudly that it would drive us from the room, where we would all have to cram into one small bedroom.

To make a very long story short, dh confronted them, they made a lame excuse about not being able to so anything because they were too old (they are 56 and 59) and we packed up the kids and left and never looked back. His dad has never been a part of his life- he thought that being a good father was sending a small child support check every month, so this was kind of a last-ditch effort to see if they wanted to be a part of our kids' lives and they have decided that they don't. Frown But we made sure that none of this affected the boys, and they had an incredible time and felt loved and wanted by mommy and daddy, so that's all that matters! I got alot of great pics-will post them soon!

I can't wait for you to get the mail too!

On the other crap....my father is 20 years older than my mother but is 600 times more active. Are they by any chance larger sized people? That seems to be the major problem with my mother and her husband. They act like they are too old to play with grandkids but really, she is 55 and he is younger than her. She did just take DS to the park though but that's mostly b/c my brother's kid was there and wanted to go. Oh well - she's trying and they got to do something with grandma so I'm grateful for that! Especially since her actions led to us not speaking for almost a year prior......
