I really feel old! Forty-five years ago today, I got married. It seems like just yesterday. Funny when you think I was married longer than most of you were alive. To my DH in heaven, Happy Anniversary Dear!

Dh left for a conference in NY this morning around 6, and the boys decided that it was a good time to get up very early. Butters learned how to launch himself out of his crib this afternoon, scaring the crap out of me. He refused to nap, so right now he is overtired and whiny, so he and Dan are fighting. I don't know how I'm going to get him to stay in a bed tonight (he will have the lower bunk of the bunk beds in Daniel's room) since he's always slept in the crib, and he's not the kind of kid who just lays down and falls asleep- it's a struggle to get him to sleep at night.

Then my bathroom plumbing decides to explode, and I don't know how much $ we have, and what it's going to cost us, and can't get a hold of dh in NY. The plumber was AWESOME- his wife said no prob, they know us well and that we are good for it, and they'll just bill us. I am afraid of what the bill is going to be- probably around $500 or $600.

Then we hear all of these alarms and sirens going off, and find out that an old cotton mill right around the corner is fully engulfed. A little while later we lose electricity. This is just as I put a video in for the boys and the pizza in the oven for dinner. So they are hungry and whiny until the power comes back on.

I don't think i've been on for a few days, but I try to keep up on FB and try to read the thread, I just never have time to respond. I respond and lol in my head, if that makes sennse. But I've had a nasty, nasty virus that knocked me out for 3 days. I hadn't been able to keep any food or water down for days, so the ob had me checked out, and gave me meds for nausea. Luckily, I wasn't dehydrated (maybe i'm like a camel, and carry extra water in my chunk- I have lots of extra chunk! ) but then last night I started getting severe abdominal pain, and he said it may have been the start of dehydration, and I was couch-bound for a few hours until it subsided.

Well, the pain is back, so I am a bad mom and have parked my hiney in a chair and am talking to you guys until the pain goes away. The boys have pizza, breadsticks, juice and a video, and I just sweetened the deal by cracking open some candy bars the lovely and freaking amazing Mel sent us! Chocolate can cure anything!

I'm going to work my way back and try to catch up and actually post responses, and we'll see how long Cheech and Chong let me sit here. I a missing dh terribly already! I don't know how you single parents do it, I give you major credit!

i sent my nephew in.. he only came back with 4 and it cost me $5 but it was worth a try

Also ... just have to note, im amazed at how many people dont know that amazon has "real" giftcards. Like 5 of the people i have tried trading with dont believe me that I have a $5 giftcard.

Dh redid the basement and basement bath this winter. I was not for it but he didn't discuss it with me so he got VERY LITTLE help from me with it. :evilaf: The way it was was very old but I didn't care. It was comfortable to me and I felt at home there. It was what I would call "our space" meaning my kids and I. Now it is his man cave. He bought new furniture for it and it got delivered today. I just would have done things differently and put our old stuff back in there. Not him. The bath needed help but it could have been done without the rest. It does look nice now and should be good now until we move out someday into the retirement home. lol
DH's son who he farms with does the chores. He does do mission work but this one is pleasure. He is in LA for a couple Laker's games. He took his nephew there, filling the role of "dad" since his dad is no longer living.

I am so forgetful. I was going to make a simple invitation to DS's reception and have it printed tomorrow at T.

We lost out on another house! It was bank owned so it was a very good deal and 5 people put in offers on it. We put in a full price offer but I am sure someone else put in much more. I really loved this house so I didn't want to even talk about it because I was afraid to jinks it. Oh well, back to the drawing board. I thought this was a buyers market!!

I want nothing to do with a pool.. im a pasty white girl.. no tanning for me just lobster red, and it didnt seem like a great idea when we are hopeing to have kids soon. But #1 one on my list was DF wouldnt take care of it and it would end up costing us big $ to get it fixed after he ruined it

Bean is 8 weeks today..........seems like an eternity already because of my nervousness with it all...........I can hardly think of 32 more weeks of this! Of course hopefully after 13 or 14 I will hopefully be a little more at ease. And yes, one will do! I have another appt. on Wednesday afternoon so hopefully things will go well that day and I will be a little less worried about it for a day or two anyway. Thanks for asking!
