Hello Lovelies! (JD, that includes you, too)
Dh left for a conference in NY this morning around 6, and the boys decided that it was a good time to get up very early. Butters learned how to launch himself out of his crib this afternoon, scaring the crap out of me. He refused to nap, so right now he is overtired and whiny, so he and Dan are fighting. I don't know how I'm going to get him to stay in a bed tonight (he will have the lower bunk of the bunk beds in Daniel's room) since he's always slept in the crib, and he's not the kind of kid who just lays down and falls asleep- it's a struggle to get him to sleep at night. Mad

Then my bathroom plumbing decides to explode, and I don't know how much $ we have, and what it's going to cost us, and can't get a hold of dh in NY. The plumber was AWESOME- his wife said no prob, they know us well and that we are good for it, and they'll just bill us. I am afraid of what the bill is going to be- probably around $500 or $600. Frown

Then we hear all of these alarms and sirens going off, and find out that an old cotton mill right around the corner is fully engulfed. A little while later we lose electricity. This is just as I put a video in for the boys and the pizza in the oven for dinner. So they are hungry and whiny until the power comes back on.

I don't think i've been on for a few days, but I try to keep up on FB and try to read the thread, I just never have time to respond. I respond and lol in my head, if that makes sennse. laugh out loud But I've had a nasty, nasty virus that knocked me out for 3 days. I hadn't been able to keep any food or water down for days, so the ob had me checked out, and gave me meds for nausea. Luckily, I wasn't dehydrated (maybe i'm like a camel, and carry extra water in my chunk- I have lots of extra chunk! Smilie) but then last night I started getting severe abdominal pain, and he said it may have been the start of dehydration, and I was couch-bound for a few hours until it subsided.

Well, the pain is back, so I am a bad mom and have parked my hiney in a chair and am talking to you guys until the pain goes away. The boys have pizza, breadsticks, juice and a video, and I just sweetened the deal by cracking open some candy bars the lovely and freaking amazing Mel sent us! Chocolate can cure anything!

I'm going to work my way back and try to catch up and actually post responses, and we'll see how long Cheech and Chong let me sit here. I a missing dh terribly already! I don't know how you single parents do it, I give you major credit! hug
Synopsis please. My tolerance is about one paragraph.

Well I am sure glad that I have a stockpile of baby stuff! J's friend had a baby and he is coming over soon to show us! Now I have a gift to give them! They had a boy, so I just got one of the outfits I didn't give to my SIL (I gave her like 20 outfits already). laugh out loud Thank you Kohls.com!

Also ... just have to note, im amazed at how many people dont know that amazon has "real" giftcards. Like 5 of the people i have tried trading with dont believe me that I have a $5 giftcard.OMG
Well I think that is still cheaper than ebay, right? Big Grin

Dh redid the basement and basement bath this winter. I was not for it but he didn't discuss it with me so he got VERY LITTLE help from me with it. :evilaf: The way it was was very old but I didn't care. It was comfortable to me and I felt at home there. It was what I would call "our space" meaning my kids and I. Now it is his man cave. He bought new furniture for it and it got delivered today. I just would have done things differently and put our old stuff back in there. Not him. The bath needed help but it could have been done without the rest. It does look nice now and should be good now until we move out someday into the retirement home. lol
DH's son who he farms with does the chores. He does do mission work but this one is pleasure. He is in LA for a couple Laker's games. He took his nephew there, filling the role of "dad" since his dad is no longer living.
Well that's nice on the game...and not so nice about the remodel. hug

We lost out on another house! It was bank owned so it was a very good deal and 5 people put in offers on it. We put in a full price offer but I am sure someone else put in much more. I really loved this house so I didn't want to even talk about it because I was afraid to jinks it. Oh well, back to the drawing board. I thought this was a buyers market!!
Well, poo. That stinks!

I'm heading to target next Tuesday. I am going to buy Tangled in 3D, though it very well may not be worth it. Tonight we were watching a 3D show we watched at IMAX when Dallas was 3. And she could barely sit through it. Granted it was about bugs, but still.

Oh, and having said that, are there any Target coupons I should be aware of? I am in the Tangled thread and it appears as though it will be 29.99 for the 3d version, with a $5 disney movie rewards coupon, but there is the hope that Target will have their own coupon as well for $5.00. Actually people were expecting the disney movie rewards coupon to be 8 or 10 bucks off, so it pissed off a bunch of people to find out they were wrong.

Thanks for the synopsis. You should considering writing for the books high school kids read to get out of reading books. What are those things called?

Coach... I have little to say that will console you, though I hope all becomes well soon.

I have another appt. on Wednesday afternoon so hopefully things will go well that day and I will be a little less worried about it for a day or two anyway. Thanks for asking!

Ah, the every moment of every day thoughts must be exhausting, huh? Joy/elation and so much fear at the same time. Plus, I'm not sure if you're telling people, but I found keeping it to myself so hard because there's no one to go through it with you. (Which is why I always seem to spill the beans here, to save my sanity.) Still praying for you and your little bean often. hug

I will look but yes the wedding is on Monday and the reception on Saturday. . People will be invited to the reception.

I was a single parent for many years. One thing that makes it easier is that you don't expect anyone else to be there to help. Neither do the kids. When a dad travels on business it is different than the kids normal so it makes it more difficult. It was very hard though. Especially when I was sick myself. That was tough.

The tornado that hit here on Wednesday was amazing. It left a path of destruction 7 miles wide, 90 homes hit, 30 declared uninhabitable, 200 high school students on the field and not one injury. Had to be the Hand of God in that one.

Yawn morning ... why is it that on my day off I wake up at 3 in the morning?

My Mom and Dad's anniversary was called Daddy Day after my Mom passed. My Mom was a single mother of two (my Father left when I was 2 weeks old) and was that way until she and Daddy married when I was 7. Daddy loved that I still remembered their anniversary, but in a not so downer way.

Good morning everybody! I'm not sure what to do with myself since I'm out of Amazon codes lol Actually now I have to go cancel about 500,000 subscriptions (yes I'm exagerating but I'm sure it's gonna feel that way) Pam and I are going to check baby depot one last time tonight and then go to the far away target for happy baby stuff. Sara came up with the baby yesterday. OMG I love him so much. I love when he scrunches up on my chest all comfy and content! He's finally filling out his newborn cloths. He was tiny for a long time. Now he's a little bit bigger then a regular newborn Smilie I'm pretty certain that his eyes are going to stay blue! Both parents have brown eyes but have siblings with blue eyes. It's cool the way genetics works. Sara started feeding him enfamil at night so if anybody knows of any deals on it, I'd appreciate if you could let me know. I have a ton of Similac and similac checks, but she read there were bug parts or something like that and doesn't want to feed him that lol She's still primarly nursing but right from the start she has had a hard time with it.

Chris, did you get your table cloths yet? I'm sorry I asked you how many you needed and then wasn't able to get right back to you right away. I wanted to order them for you from oriental trading because I had a credit in my account, but they are out of while round ones. I looked on amazon and I could get them for you from there with a credit I have from doing diaper code trades but it's not prime and I wasn't sure they would get to you in time. I'm trying to think of something else I could send you to add to the wedding. Can I get the plates or plastic utensils or napkins? Maybe some decorations? Please let me know. You are always so good to us here and I would love to be able to help out in any way I can.
