It comes down to personal preference, but I tend to say the temperpedic isn't the best value, but you should definitely get a memory foam bed. They do allow for a good nights sleep. Periodically I have issues with my back and neck and while it is too early to give all the credit to the bed, I haven't had any issues lately.

We sell Temperpedics at HH. I like mine because it's the love child between temperpedic and traditional memory foam. It sleeps a little warm and I have mild concerns it will new too warm during three summer, but it is less dense as the temperpedic but at one tenth the price and it gives earlier in the process. It also comes with a twenty year warranty.

I'm on a temperpedic as I type, and it is too firm.
Be careful...my guess is you are either at work or you are "testing" out a mattress for a customer!

Thanks guys for all the wishes. The wedding was nice. I don't have the pics loaded yet. will need to do that. I cried and I think Katie teared up too. That touches my heart. Hopefully the pictures turn out. I know I am crying because I can't believe this day has come. I also cry because I am sad that her parents couldn't be a part of this for them and for her. I know it is their choice but it still makes me sad.
Now to clean up the house before DH gets home tonight. EEK! what a disaster!!
I wanna see pics...bounce

Kootz,

Did you name your dog after a danish? Yesterday I bought a cherry bialy for breakfast, and while yall know I don't pay a ton of attention I beleive that is the name of your one pup.

Anyone chatty, it's another boring day at work.
LMAO You remind me of our Jewish accountant. He calls every time he is eating a Bialy.
Yes that is his name but I had never heard of the food Bialy until our friend mentioned it.

I got the name when asking my mom how to say white in Polish and just slanged it a bit.

Hence...Bianca is white in Italian

I wouldn't mind doing a house swap, but the problem is that I live in central PA. It's not such a bad place to live, 2 hours from DC, Baltimore, Philly and three hours from NY and Pittsburgh, but to actually vacation is a different story. Other than Gettysburg (which is just a big freaking field, there's not much that actually is interesting.

Is your sitter still the physically fit girl from 2 or 3 years ago? Any updated photos?

Kate would like to be Jewish, and actually I have somewhat of a preference for Judiasm than I do Catholicism... Having said that, the Bialy was not very tasty. There was too much bread and not enough deliciousness. I hate being disappointed when I'm eating something bad for me.

And for the Temper... I hear good things about Comforpedic by Simmons. I really like my bed, and at the price, it's almost disposable if you REALLY hate it. I don't mind the temperpedics, but I could not imagine paying full price for one of those things. I get the the beds at 1/2 price, but even then... just seems too costly.

How old is the bed? They have new side ventings that are designed to keep the bed cooler then in previous generations.

Does anyone thing the hat (presuming it's a hat) that Kiki made looks like a sperm? I looked at all the comments from her photo on the book of faces, and I can honestly say that even really upclose in a microscope, sperm don't even look as much like the hat looked like sperm.

We don't have Costco's that I know of. We keep our house pretty cool in the winter and I am concerned that the memory foam may be harder than I like (we have memory foam pillows and they are like rocks sometime.) But I've heard that back problems, hip problems, etc are helped by the memory foam so that's kind what we were thinking.

Good to know...
There are 5 in Dallas. Unless you are visiting someone there, you probably will spend more in gas than if you have it shipped.

http://www.costco.com/Browse/Prod...opnav=&s=1

If you buy from Costco's website, you will pay a 1% premium for not being a member, but I can loan you my membership information so you can buy it with out having to pay that.

For the exact same Queen bed that I paid $424 (with tax), I have to pay $582.99 (which includes tax and free delivery). So do with that info what you will, but it is still roughly 1/8th the price of a temperpedic.

The king mattress is 780 plus tax. Also, with most memory foam beds, you need to use a solid surface for it to rest. The frame from a water bed would work, of you can do what I did which is cut up a 4'x8' piece of wood and then place that over the boxspring. It worked very well.

The one and only time I went to Gettysburg was in our camper many years ago. We were in the camper watching TV when we heard about John Jr. Frown

Our sitter is the same and still in training. She has been in four competitions and got as high as second place. She says she will not quit until she gets #1

I'll let her know I need more pics...Big Grin

I can't get myself to eat a bialy...LMAO

I think our bed was 2 years old in Dec. We have the grand. It has made a world of difference for hubby but I hate hard beds. I have been thinking of getting a twin foam thingy to place on my side.

We have separate air for our bedroom area. At night it's 72, I have the ceiling fan going full blast and another stand up fan blowing on me from the side.

Menopause sucks...For the men tooFrown

BTW...Hubby tv is working again. Can't remember what was wrong but 150.00 to fix it

And...Thank goodness for surge protectors. We had a major storm come through earlier and it would have taken out everything in hubby's office. Luckily only the surge burned

I was in Johnstown PA. I was watching the news with Kate's grandmother. It was sad, but I can't be too upset. He was flying a private plane. I don't get too upset with people ride motorcycles either and get injured (no offense to anyone in particular). I'm just not a big fan of potentially dangerous situations people place themselves into.

So you were walking at 2a.m. in the ghetto while wearing a fur coat, diamonds, and gold jewelry? And you aren't a pimp... I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU WERE MUGGED?

Wish her luck on getting first place, though it sounds like if she never gets first place, she will be perpetually fit.

I'm not a big fan of the temper line either. I tell people that your body heat allows for the mattress to give more, but that just sounds like a lie. People do like them though. They go back and get them again when it is time.

I doubt you want to shell out the cash so soon for a different temperpedic bed, but next time you may want to get a split bed and box spring. Hubby can have the firm, whereas you can elect to get the cloud supreme.

I'm glad to hear the tv is working again. It's never a good thing when one of those goes.

laugh out loud I am working on the same hat right now and in its current state it looks like a penis warmer. I of course said this out loud to Alexa and she told me about a girl at school today. Apparently this girl had a crocheted penis?!?! EEK! I asked her why and Alexa said bc this girl is weird. I have told her not to talk to said girl anymore.....

I don't think you crocheted penis can do much harm. When I was in high school, there were rumors about one girl who used crayons for more than coloring. She was in the band... which really reminds me of the one character from American Pie.

But I digress. I forget how old Alexa is, but I'm going to do my best not to be a puritanical father. As long as Dallas is smart and discreet, I don't care what she does.
