Hi friends, sorry I've been gone for a while. I've been keeping up, just don't have quite enough energy or hours in the day to post much. I'm doing okay, just exhausted. Not sleeping much at night these days. I have 2 more days until spring break and it can't come soon enough. Dh is off this week, so our vacations don't line up this year. I'm so jealous as he sleeps in and hangs out with the babe. Makes it even harder to be at work full time. It's the end of the quarter so I have report cards looming, kids who don't care about getting the work done, and a crazy day tomorrow. But hey, I can do this, right? Only 2 more days. Then a wedding up north and gone for the weekend. Then rest. Blissful rest.
Had a doc appt. today and things look good. Baby's measuring normal (thank the Lord that he's not measuring huge!) and seems healthy. 8 weeks to go. I can do this.

I want to say thank you to my special SF friends here. We went out of town for the weekend to my grandpa's 85th birthday party and arrived home on Monday evening to some smile boxes and an overflowing thinking of you card in the mail. For starters, the awesome things you sent to my kids were more than enough to brighten my day. I was certainly not expecting anything else. The card & goodies were wonderful! It was especially touching to me since the most any of my IRL friends did was send me an "I'm so sorry" text. Granted I didn't tell everyone what was going on, but I did tell a few close friends - friends that I thought cared enough to at least call me later to see how I was doing.................. Anyway, I am overwhelmed with gratitude and love for all of you. Thank you for being there for me and for doing something to make me feel better. You all are very special to me and I am so blessed for having you in my life. I'm really missing you guys but hope to be back on regularly after this is done. I'm waiting on a phone call from the nurse to find out when they scheduled my D&C.

you made me lol! For some reason, I haven't been able to sleep for 3 nights in a row, and I'm having other not-so-fun preggo issues that are painful and embarrassing to share with dh, so I'm not a happy momma right now. Though of I could have one of those whistles, then I could blow it and summon the pool boy to make the boys lunch and let me nap?

My kids need AT&T phones since our service is changing and the prepaid don't get new phones but have to buy them. GRRR!!!! We had alltel but they sold to AT&T. Any ideas for where to get used phones cheaper?

Oh, girl, I wish I were in your predicament! We've got no one who is coming for the baby's birth, or who has even offered to help. Thankfully, we do have two sets of friends who have offered to take the boys for the night that the baby is born, but all of them work, so dh would have to pick them up in the morning. I am prepared to be in the hospital by myself after she is born, since I know dh will have to be at home with the boys. As long as he is there during the actual birth, I'll be ok.

So far, we've had a tragic birth for #1(lost our Alexandra), an amazing birth for #2 (3 pushes and Daniel was out! And then he started nursing right away!) a near-tragic birth for #3 (Jason was an emergency c-section, came out not breathing and had to be in the NICU. We were told if he wasn't taken right then, he prob wouldn't have made it) So I'm figuring for #4 we should be getting another easy, uncomplicated birth, right? Not that I'm saying we're owed anything, but I really think that we should get some special consideration. I'm pretty go with the flow- no birth plan, no sheet on the door telling the staff what I want, etc. I just want to give baby the best chance at a healthy birth, so they can pretty much do whatever that want, as long as my girl is ok! The game plan is to let me go to 39 weeks to see if my body goes into labor on its own (like with Daniel) and let me have a vbac, but if she isn't here by July 13, they are taking her by c-section. Sounds good to me!

As for the help from family, I would beg for the opportunity to have someone stay with us and help out! Heck, I'd even take Great-Uncle Fester's ghost if he could fill a sippy cup or pop a pizza in the oven! I'd sleep on the front porch and let him have my bed! Especially after a c-section, when you can't bend over or do simple things, plus I'll be on the couch nursing the baby most of the time, just having an extra person there would be such a great help. Jason is not going to understand that mommy can't get him a juice right then because I have a monkey on my chest!

But our families suck, and we are not the norm (thankfully!) Which brings me to dh's argument that we have to have more kids, because our family is uncaring, and when dh and I are gone, our kids will only have each other. I thought I was ok with stopping at 3, but having a large loving family is really important to dh, so if we can get through the first rough childhood years on our own, then we'll have the rest of their lives to enjoy them. I've always told dh that we are going to be the most loving, supportive parents ever to our kids, and they are going to love us so much that they're going want to name all of their kids after us!

bridesmaids dresses are done...check! flower girls dresses ordered...check! another thing off the list! I ended up just getting everyone a flower with the cards yesterday- gerber daisies, and got the moms one rose each.... they loved them, and i loved that they loved them!

As I read your post a thought crossed my mind. I'm pretty sure that sd people pregnancies go way faster then people in NJ pregnancies go. It's so weird the way that works. I think next time someone in NJ tells me they are pregnant, I'm gonna encourage them to hurry up and sign up to sd and they will be holding their baby in a blink of an eye

I took a nice 40 minute nap. Though I woke up crabby.

I'm getting less crabby. Though I wouldn't mind a little physical affection to help take the edge off.
