Hey JD I'm not sure how serious you are as far as the girls softball team but here's something to think about. Lauren played softball for a lot of years but her and her friends did it for fun and for something to do. My neighbor was a coach for one of the rec teams and in being neighborly always picked Lauren to be on his team knowing her 2 friends would come with her (one was naturally good and the other needed to work on it) Anyways he had 2 daughters, Kaitlyn and Heather, both younger then Lauren. He was a very serious coach which took alot of the fun away from Lauren and her friends. But I have to say his seriousness paid off. Both of his daughters at one time or another were #1 pitchers in NJ. He started when the girls were very young getting pitching and hitting coaches. All of us parents would chip in a little and he would hire someone to come work with the girls. This started when they were about 7 or 8. His daughters are now in college and I know they give pitching lessons and occasionally run clinics. I know you are in PA but I'm not sure what part. The girls are in college in south jersey. I would recommend them if that was something you and your team were interested in. Here's a link about Heather. It's kind of funny because when her father was constantly pushing them to do better, Heather wanted no part of it and Katie was the pitching star. Then all of the sudden Heather stepped up and omg what a force to be recconed with! She was awesome in basketball too.

I'm focused on the job at hand, but I wouldn't say that I'm serious to the point to where I want the girls to play up to their potential.

Right now the girls are having fun and I'm giving them the techniques to do well. That's as far as I really want to take it because the 7-8 year old girls I'm coaching are really not that much better than the 5-6 year girls I coached the previous 2 years.

At this point, I'm going to set them up to win. Solid fielding, decent throwing, running to the bases to get force outs. That's my plan.

Hitting will be natural for some... some not so much. I don't understand how some girls hit like they are trying to bunt... but we are going to work on that.

I am looking for the 5 x7 flat not folded, this is an option though....

question for those of you who work late--do you drop right in bed when you get home or do you unwind? DH has his undies in a bunch because I was coming to bed at 1:00. Seems to think I might be having a thing with the gay guy that takes over after my shift. He is gay and there is NOTHING attractive about him. Nice guy yes. He reminds me of my dad but attractive Also, doesn't think I need to be on the computer when I get home.

The mom was given the frame Saturday and she said she loved it. I am so happy I was able to be a part of that!

His rec team had that all down by the time they were 8. They had already played a few years together and he knew who had what strenghts and those were the positions they played for the next several years. Lauren always played 3rd because she had a strong arm and great aim and was able to get that ball right into the mitt of her best friend Sam who played first and never dropped a ball. Lauren and Sam were the best hitters too until Heather was old enough to move up and she could do it all with no effort! Dom used to yell alot at the girls (right around the time the boys started coming to the games and the girls would be all silly) so when they were in 7th grade, we moved Lauren and her friends to another towns rec team. I figured as long as I was paying for her to play it better be fun. High School ball would be a different story. Then she would have to take the abuse.

Oh and also with getting them hitting better, he didn't wait till spring to start practicing. He would use the elementary school's gym and every week they would go and throw the balls and run laps and once a month he would put up a batting cage to keep them warmed up. A few of us also had pitching machines (I still have mine lol) that the kids used all the time. One day I happened to look out the window and saw John and Pams son Cal using it in a happy gilmore style. Only they were using garbage can lids as shields! Crazy boys!

Just another day at the office...we are on the 3rd floor of a US Bank main branch...and I guess it was just robbed...I have always said if it was robbed, we would be the last to know...and I think we were! Sounds like everyone is okay, but always makes for an interesting day!

hope everyone is having a good day. here are the bridesmaids dresses. and i need to vent just a tid bit. as you all know i have been in many weddings, and a guest at SO MANY more. i have been to showers, bachelorettes, baby showers etc... everything that highlights so many of my friends during their time to shine. well, i strategically dated my wedding for AFTER both my sister and his sister had their babies- not bc of the spotlight, but so that they could enjoy themselves. and now, i find out that my bf is preggo...the one i was her MOH for. DF is not happy bc he thinks she is taking my spotlight. i'm really not that kind of person at all. i mean, i'm wearing all white- so i'm pretty sure everyone will know who the bride is.. anyway, i'm happy for her, obviously, but i am a little taken back bc she knew how i specifically waited for the other preggos. ok end of rant. ooo here are the bridesmaids dresses: (in mermaid)

I think this is just another way of him trying to control you...he might actually have to do something for himself. I am sure with field work coming up he is worried about how it is going to work for him. I am sure that you have it all figured out in your head.

I actually have a photo deal question! Daniel has requested a Lego Star Wars birthday party, so I went right to Triplet's page, since I know her boys just had a Star Wars one. I read the blog post, and it looked awesome! The light sabres looked great!

For his party, Daniel desperately wants a stormtrooper outfit for him and his brother. Can anyone help me find some cheap ones? I looked online, and the cheapest I'm finding is $30! i also need to get a really cute pic for the invite, so I'm hoping to get the costume and take some pics of him in it. hopefully SF or the Fish have a good card deal going on, since I need to order Dan's invitations and Maddie's announcements.

My question- does anyone know of any kind of card deals going on right now? I remember doing some $30 switch to SF credit thing, which is in my email somewhere, so I know I have that. I need to find a card deal for invitations, and one for baby announcements. I'm going to prob include her pic for the announcements, so i'm looking for something that doesn't expire until July. for Dan's bday, I know the date and place, so I can order those as soon as I get a good pic to make them with!

Also, I would love any ideas for a Lego Starwars party. We're going to do a pinata, Star Wars cake, slip and slides and kiddie pools in the front yard (I need to buy 2 slips and 2 pools) and the goody bags will be the pinata candy. We're also going to make it a "welcome baby" party for Maddie for everyone to meet her, so I'm going to order her a cake and maybe do some sort of party favor for her. I don't know what theme to do yet- maybe lilac butterflies and dragonflies, or red ladybugs? for the favor, I think I'm going to buy Madeleine cookies and put them in bags with little ribbons and a slip of paper with her name and birth day on it.

I work til 11, get home about 1130, and I am sometimes up until 3am. I gave up Pepsi the first of this year to both lose weight, and get to bed earlier. I am down 20lbs, but still up at night.

the funny/great thing was, I had a counseling appointment for this morning. I had decided to bite the bullet and just do it. DH thought I had called this morning and got the appointment so quickly. I told him I had made it long before last night.
