hun, we will just stick to build a bear I think. There is supposed to be a $10 off $30 q in the paper this weekend, so that should help! I just need to buy a second paper to make sure to get a better bang for our buck. J is pretty set on taking them to BAB, which is cute, so I will just try not to think to much about the costs. Afterall, its not everyday they have a baby sister being born. I really appreciate the offer though!

We took DD to BAB recently and luckily my DH was with me because it was pricey! She had made a note that they put in the dog and they have an online game that she played for awhile. She is very proud of it so I think it was definitely worth it.

So last night we went to Michaels bc Momma Junie says her stpre has a whole aisle of Teddy Bears and the clothes for them. So I figured we could make the shirts ourselves and then be done. Well my store doesn't have them. But we did find something that I think will turn out cute. They had a new shelf of these pre made and make yourself awards. They are called Bravissimo [makingmemories.com]. So I bought 2 semi finished ones and then bought blank 'sentiments' so that I could make them custom. Then we found a sticker that says "big sister' on it, so I will add that to the blank sentiment. It sounds kinda confusing when I type it, but I will take pics of it when I finish them.
I was just gonna give them the awards, but when I was showing them to J, he thinks we should put them on the build a bears they make. I wanted to be able to give them the gift when Lily is born, but that wouldn't work with a build a bear, so we decided to give them the awards at the hospital and then J will take them to build a bear on the weekend after Lily is born, while we are resting at home. I think this will work.

on another note, I got someone's mini book today, my addy on the outside but not my book and not my name and addy on the inside slip. So I call to explain this, had to repeat the situation 3 times?! How hard it that to figure out? So they say they are going to send me a coupon for another mini book and I'm supposed to send this guys back. I'm supposed to mail it, on my own dime....I gave them his name, address and order number (which was all on the enclosed slip, WTF?) so why do I have to mail this back.....just send him a new one. Don't think I'll be using them again. Tempted to write something on their FB page.

All the q's are issued by the companies who sell, not produce, and that company STOLE my money, through various programs, government subsidies and other loopholes by buying our crop/animals at dirt cheap prices most of the time netting us very little profit if a profit at all, and they are still able to offer these stinkin q's and give their high ups a ton of bonuses! So if they can afford to offer the q's by gyping me out of the $ i actually earned, I then i am fully entitled to any and all of it I can back from them even if it comes in the form of 42 boxes of free cereal

So busy day planned here. J is still not feeling up to going into work , so he already called off from work. He still has 'queasiness and is dizzy.' My girls both seem like they are starting to get sick. Alexa is coughing a lot and Sophia is having her first normal sign, crying about everything. I hope they all can get over this soon as I don't know how I will do with them all being sick and having Lily brand new!

I have my last dr appt before the C Section today. I have to go alone bc J can't show up to his work when sick. That means no lunch up there either. I mean, I could go by myself, but that seems weird. Then I am sure I will have to have some labs drawn.

I need to go to RA today! I have $13 in Ups expiring tomorrow and I am just planning on spending them on misc stuff. With Lily about to be here, not sure I will have enough time/energy to deal with exp. ups/couponing, so its just easier to get out now and then jump back in later if a good deal comes up.

We are having our every other week company over tonight, so I need to make dinner for them. I am excited to see them (my BFF and her bf) but I also feel the stress of having lots to do and I feel like time is running out!

I need to continue to work on the Thank You cards/ addressing envies for announcements! Also need to work on the girls gifts from Lily. Planned to do that last night, but I switched out Sophs clothes (bye bye 4T ) and it took a lot out of me! Glad that is done before Lily is here! I need to get the girls hair cut. Yes I said girls. I am going to be cutting Soph's hair for the first time ever. She has never even had a trim. I am hoping to do this today, but I am not sure if our hair dresser is working this afternoon, so I need to find out. I also want to make a 'bear hat' for Alexa's school friend. Hmm, that may be all, but I could be forgetting some things for the to do list of today

I know I will never change his mind on this so I have quit trying and just hide it away until it is needed. Well, apparently he went digging and counting. Who knows, may be the counselor was impressed by my stockpile :D I am sure that DH was looking for a different reaction from the C than he got about things.

Well guys, I've been MIA for a week. Sorry for being gone, but know that I'm so addicted to you that I always find time to read along, even when I can't reply. I need my "fix".

Dh and I had a good weekend in Portland. It was rainy and cold (shocking on the west coast, I know), so there's not a lot of fun outside things to do. But we still had a good time. Went to see 2 movies and went for happy hour (things we can't do with the babe). Our hotel turned out to be nice and right in the middle of everything, so that worked out great for priceline. We just did a tiny bit of tax-free shopping (you know dh :rolleyes:) but it was totally worth it. Macy's had a one-day sale (I NEVER shop at Macy's). Dh is in a wedding this summer and needed a specific pair of pants and vest from there. Ordered online a few weeks ago since his size is no where to be found, and they don't fit. We took them back, found a pair that fits, found the vest we haven't been able to find anywhere, and got them one-day sale prices and no tax. Then we found the super-pricey coffee machine all the kids are getting my dad for b-day/father's day on sale (never goes on sale) and no tax! Saved well over $100 on that alone. Super cool!

Cheering for my Canucks! They had a good start and then a rough loss yesterday. But we're still loving playoff hockey. We taught the babe how to chant "Go 'Nucks GO!"

Figuring I should plan some fun Easter things for the babe this weekend since we're actually in town this year. Glad to stay home for once.

Report cards were due this week, so I'm super glad to have those out of the way. Now I'm on to the final quarter at school, with only 5 weeks left to teach (YAY!!!!!) before I go on mat. leave. Just hope I make it that long. I'm exhausted and already at the point where I don't feel like I can possibly get any bigger.

Okay, I know there was so much more I wanted to reply to, but lost a bunch of MQM's over the past week. Love you guys and hope all is well. Ariel, can't wait to see your little lamb! Hang in there.

Just cleaning and packing over here. I will be very happy when this is over! I don't have my normal energy level so things are slow. Mom leaves on Sat morning so hopefully my DH and I can make some real progress this weekend. Closing is the 29th and I think movers on May 2nd.

Not to defend her DH, but this is very much a "farmer" attitude. Waste is not tollerated. Chris lives in a "VERY CONSERVATIVE" corner of Iowa and this attitude is not that unusual there. Not right, but not unusual. I am so proud of Chris for not only going to counseling, but for also getting a part-time job...that is "bucking" the trend up there as well.

Great job again Chris! I could hear you roar all the way over here...unless of course it was that thunder snow we had...but I think it was you!

She's taking off from a dead stop all on her own, she's riding in the walking/biking path on my road (though not with sufficient consistency) and she's riding uphill well. All without any falls and scrapes. She's doing much better than I did.

I'm not sure if I am thankful for this late cold weather or not...we have been having problems with our furnace and it won't kick on...60 degrees is feeling pretty chilly inside! But I want to hold off a little to call the HVAC person...I hope we don't need a new furnace...but it might not surprise me since ours is old...I keep trying to tell myself that if we have to replace it it wil save us money on utilities and then I could get my AC unit moved as well so I could really get serious about re-doing my kitchen as I want to add a door to my kitchen but the AC unit is in the way!

So glad that I am off work tomorrow...needed a long weekend and a break! DS and I will hang tomorrow. DH has to work and DD went to Des Moines with a friend all weekend...hopefullly a quiet weekend!

I've perfected that...but this is going to be interesting. then i will be making DF paint easter eggs with me, but he doesnt know it yet... and hopefully fit in a run to T before making easter baskets... but i suppose there is always tomorrow too. hope everyone is having a nice easter weekend.

We've got a bit of everything Because of the desert location and the soil we have optimum weather and soil content for year round crop rotation

So, do you have a small commercial organic type farm or do you farm acres & acres? We only do corn and beans (in rotation) b/c that's what grows best. There are people in the bottoms though that grow corn in sandy soil with irrigation.

No one here is really organic My family has in the neighborhood of 2000+ acres (mostly tomatoes, hay and lettuce right now, cotton, more hay will go in in a month or so) My boss has 5000+ of onions and 5000+ of broccoli right now not counting the other crops they have in
