Because I've won 2 K-cup samplers in the last couple months, and don't have a Keurig. So I'll win this and not be able to use either.

Just like the PS3 stuff I keep winning without owning a PS3, while I don't win any XBox stuff while owning an XBox.

Well, if I win a Tassimo, maybe I can trade someone K-cups for T-cups, and the T-cups will fit in the K-cup carousel...

Buy an external hard drive, find a freeware backup program, and back up your desktop (and netbook) drives regularly. For the desktop, do an "image backup", this basically creates a complete copy of your drive, and you create a boot CD (the backup program should walk you through that) so that you can boot from the CD, plug in the external drive, and recover everything in one shot, and be back where you were when the image was taken. Image it with a FULL image weekly or monthly, and consider incremental backups between full images.

For the netbook, just back up all your personal data and the "Program Files" folder (so you know all the programs you have installed) - since the netbook doesn't have a CD to boot from, an image backup is no good (unless you find a backup program that will create a boot USB drive so you can boot from it before recovering an image from the ext drive.

Try to buy an external drive that is at least 2 times larger than the disks in your desktop and netbook combined, so you can do full and incremental backups (note - once you do a full image backup and verify it, you can generally delete the incremental backups leading up to the full image).

If you do this, and have a hard drive failure in either, you can pop a new drive in and be running again in hours without leaving the house.


Any of my critical data is copied across to multiple machines - some data is on 10 or 20 computers/USB drives. It will be harder to find the latest version of the data than to recover it.

13 straight hours of heavy rain, heavy wind, hail(baseball size) , tornado's and power outages here in the southeast - tons of trees down and many schools, churches and home destroyed .....26 people killed in alabama with this same cell that has been coming striaght up thru our area all day today - supposed to be over tonight at midnight?? all local TV stations have been on weather coverage all day and night with absolutely no programming except weather coverage... just showed we've had 4000 yes thats 4 thousand lightning strikes in a 75 mile radius in the last 10 minutes .. continuious lightning lighting up the sky for the last 2 hours like its daylight.. lived here 20 years and never seen anything like this .. lots of power outages in my area with tons of trees down but we're lucky today our power has stayed on .. crosses fingers.... but again we have a very safe house with a storm room so we are ok but other people here are not so lucky .... after tonight supposed to be fine...

Cant even imagine. We had a tornado touch down 45 min from my house last night. Big swirling black clouds came over. Sat and watched the sky on my front porch ....very ugly but no tornado...Thank God
