I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.
Everyone is welcome!
I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.
This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

Mine is called "Golden" (versus the puke green which most people call it) but I don't have the registration papers (because it was given them for advertising or someone had it in the back of his/her closet). The one linked above, with the papers, is selling for $69.99 and free shipping.

I got the FedEx package today and it contained one of the most butt ugly purses I've ever seen. It's a green-tinged gold colored alligator/snake skin item. My first thought was "OMG, they have to be joking" but then, inside the purse, was a soft storage bag, so I said to moi-meme, "Hmmm. That looks kind of expensive." Went on-line, and the stupid thing retailed for like $95 a few years ago and I thought, "What a waste." Also wondered whose closet it had been sitting in all this time. Did you see what they sent?

In short, epic fail. But at least you tried. It's too grotesque to even consider re-gifting. My sister will probably dump it in the Lions Club yard sale box (after wiping off our fingerprints – wouldn't want it traced back to either of us) and with any luck they'll get $5 for it.
So trust me on this – the next time a contest gets messed up, do NOT send a consolation prize. Just apologize for the error and move on.

All I'm seeing is post after post of some of the most hysterical remarks I've seen in years. You guys crack me up. I leave for 10 minutes and come back to rude remark after crude remark about that stupid ugly obscene purse, and I laugh so hard I wake up the cats. They are not amused, but I sure am. I feel a lot better about that disgusting item now. I can actually think about it and twitch, not with dismay, but with giggles.
