Yup,, dogs do that. Every Weimaraner I had would on occaision take themselves for a walk ! Never overnight tho. The one I have now learned very early how to open doors or gates. When he went missing I could usually find him just down the street visiting the neighbor's Golden Lab. Had to laugh,, Lab was inside looking out and my dog was sitting on their porch looking in...

He wandered off when hubby was bringing in firewood, but he had to go to work. There was not much I could do when I got home from work (11 PM), although I drove up and down our country road. Hubby told me not to worry, he'll be back when it's time to eat.. But I was pretty upset, we've only had him for about a month. Just goes to show that Dogmoms worry too...about our furry kids. (He's fast asleep now, the big booger!)

SOOOOO glad he came home. Whew! I would be a total basket case if Mr. Mack took off. Even when we take him to the lake where he can "run free" I go nuts if I can't see him!
