The old cast iron DWV are prone to crack after many years of use. 3 yrs back I had to replace the drain/vent in one of my 2-units. It cracked just below the 2nd fl bathroom. Pulled the siding off, cut the sheathing off to expose old DWV, cut it , took it out in sections and fed the new PVC DWV from outside Changed the entire thing from basement to above the roof in one day. Another day to replace siding and fix ceiling.

Off to work - will need to pay a plumber. At least I have a pipe to leak, not like Joplin (prayers). Any advice especially about price most welcome. So tired of being taken by contractors. Will catch up after shift. Thanks.
