Catholic---me too and I find the wake to be depressing, the funeral even more so, but then there is always a food fest after and you eat and sit around and tell stories until everyone is in a better place so that should make the day end a little better for you.

I have tears in my eyes for you dear one - literally! To be able to tell a parent "you can let go now" is harder than anyone can imagine (I've done it myself). He was waiting to hear your voice, and now your voice will always be his to hear! heart to you. Heaven is happier and earth is crying.
