May 31, 2011, 3:13 am: System Notice: This thread content has been automatically archived from another thread which reached post limit, and will be preserved for reference and archival purposes. The discussion should continue in the original thread

Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

So, I hope it catches on !

So pop a beer and pull up a chair and relax !

and Slovic. My grandmother was born there with a twin. Then her father died then twin died. She and her mother came to the US. Mother remarried and had 19 more children. Yes, you read that right. Unfortunately, my grandmother was the only one not his child so he abused her pretty bad. He died the same day she was in the hospital giving birth to my mother AND her mother was in the hospital giving birth to my grandma's youngest sibling. Weird for sure. So I guess what comes around goes around. Anyway, they grew up and most that are living still live in the mountains of PA in Lopez and Wilkesbarre. Every year they have a family reunion and Old Homes Day which is the founding families of Lopez get together. I dont' care about the why but you get some of the best polish food ever! My mom, bless her heart, tries but you got to be a big fat woman who speaks polish to make that stuff right.

When my dad got his cancer he was told he had a year, near the end I found out I had cancer, as sick as he was he held on, once I had my surgery and felt confident, they had it all I told dad I was going to be o.k. He let me know at that point all was o.k. with him also.. I put him in a hospice and he died within days....I miss my daddy......
My bro sent me an email a few hours ago of Dad. That is the way I want to remember him. It was only taken a few days ago. I would love ya's all to see it if someone will PM me that knows how to share it. I think we will all have a good laugh. That's what he was about.

golabki and yes. When we go to Old Homes Day then walk to my Auntie Irene's, up the big hill across from the church and cemetery and she makes a ton of them. She still has a coal burning stove she has to stoke up every morning but did get a real fridge when my Uncle Andy died. Up until then, she had to have ice delivered each morning. We would go as kids to our family cabin about 2 miles away and stay then visit her and was always fun. She had a huge deer head in the living room which eyes I swear moved when we did. She also didn't have indoor plumbing so if you had to go, you had to walk down the path behind the house to the outhouse which was next to the bull pin. Not cool! When you were in there, you could hear the bull outside the wall and if you had to go in the middle of the night, too bad, hold it.

LOL! You've really got me laughing at the thought of your dad hitting on my mom! Keep those great memories of your dad close to your heart, and he will never be far.

growing up there were two daughters that got married and each lived on either side of their parents. One had 21 kids, one had 14 kids with the grandparents house in between. Didn't matter what time of day you drove by there, was alot going on!

Sammy is doing okay for now - giving her Benadryl twice a day. She goes in tomorrow (thursday) for the rhinoscopy. We'll see what that brings. Thanks much for asking!
Hey sis. Please let us know how it goes tomorrow. Big noogies to Sammy (and you too of course).
