Behind our house is full of wild phlox. I took this picture in early May last year but it looks similar this year, just a few weeks later.

Everything is late this year. Our one peony plant that gets the south-west sun all day is just starting to bloom (2-3 weeks later than usual).

We're lucky if we get one or two. Last year the crows built a nest right below us and scared or killed one from stopping by. We live in the city but we're on a cliff and there's woods on two sides of us.
