Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Ok let me explain. Stiffy was one of 3 two week old kittens dropped off for me to save (mom was sadly hit by a car). When they were not being bottle fed, the smaller babies thought he was their mommy. Caused an issue with swelling in a certain area, and I jokingly said one time that he had a "little stiffy". Had to take him to the vet because of it, but all is fine now. He was suppose to go to a new home, but my daughter couldn't let him go. Whats one more cat anyway, 3 dogs, 7 cats, I am not crazy!laugh out loud

ok I gotta tell ya what my daughter bought me. I get this phone call from her and she is sooooo excited sayin "Mom I just bought you something that you are gonna love!! I never knew you could buy these.. I cant wait till it arrives!!Bounce"

So knowing my kids, naturally, the first question I ask is "Do I have to feed the damn thing Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)"
She giggles and says "Noo noooo.. but you will have to come up with five names Coverlaugh"

Now I'm like wtf,Scratchchin "I dont have to feed it but I have to name it?" she says "Yes, but I'm hangin up before I blow the surprise" Kid cant keep a surprise to save her life.

Five days later she calles all excited and girly and says "I'm comin over, your surprise came and I cant wait to give it to ya Whee"

She walkes in the door with a box and hands it to me all Big Grin. I fumble with the box and look for the opening while she is chompin at the bit Whee.
She grabs the box outta my hands and flings it open and removes a a plastic cup with a lid on it..again, I'm like wtf? she yells "It's butterfly larvae!!!Yahoo! there is five of them!!!, surprise!!!Woot, the instructions say probably only three will complete their cycle"

Well my cold, nealry dead heart melted.. I have adored butterflies all my life heart, live, ceramic, pewter, crystal.. any way shape or form.. they are all throughout my home. Anyway.. they have a very brief life cycle and I am happy to report all five have made it to the Chrysalid phase.

Tomorrow I will be relocating them into their new net habitat where they will reside for the next 7-10 days and emerge as beautiful Painted Ladies. Very cool to watch them transform from one phase to another and quite amazing to see how they actually triple in size in just four days!! Pretty awesome.

I hope to have five new lives to set free by this time next week!

Cool ! My next door neighbors have transformed their entire yard into a garden. There is always lots of butterflies and hummingbirds fluttering about

I just went to the Kong Company web site to comment on a toy that I bought yesterday for my Granddog Izzy. When there I came across a contest for a basket of Kong toys.
