I know there are a couple other people here with thyroid issues. Any of you have horrible hair as a result? Mine has thinned terribly and it's all limp and fine. It's just nasty. It's medium long -- below the shoulders in back and most of the sides. Yes, I know, limp thin hair should be short. But hubby HATES short hair and frankly, stuffing it into a clip or pony tail is just too easy and I don't really like short hair either.

Anyway, I contemplating a perm. I haven't had one in years. A year or two ago I actually got one at beauty shop and it didn't take. Not sure if it's my hair or the the girl who did it. If I do it, I'm doing it myself. Yes, I know what I am doing. I used to perm pretty regularly. So cost isn't a factor. The box is sitting in the bathroom and the rods are in the cupboard. What do ya think? Should I give it a shot? Then, I thinking, if I do, that I will run into town tomorrow or Thursday and have it trimmed and shaped up a little bit. Contemplating actually getting it cut a little bit more than a trim but not short.
I have hyperthyroidism. Couple that with many many pregnancies and IDevenK what my hair is supposed to be like. It used to be 'Cher hair' like from the 70s, but then I cut it all off and since then it has a wave to it. It is CONSTENTLY falling out and all over the place - I think I shed more than the dog. I have grown it out since the baby, it is finally to the end of my neck. I want to go for a Jen Aniston thing but i dont think my face will like it - D loves my hair short but I think - I am old - I need old hair, not young punk rock purple pixie.

TY! Cool, sounds good to me, I really love those bars, I always wash my face with it.
Been wondering the same thing. I think I need to search for baby food, DS still won't eat many veggies so we resort to baby food to make sure he is getting them.

We must be long lost sisters. I did not get my license until the week before I turned 18. My younger sister, 2 yrs younger, almost got hers first. I would have waited to, but she made it into a competition and was teasing me so I bit the bullet and just went ahead and got it. I was sure I would fail the driving part but I didn't.

G'morning meanies!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Busy day today....need to run errands but will have both my niece and nephew with me.....should be interesting. Then dd and I are going to see Barney live or whatever tonight. A friend won tickets and invited us to go with her and her son I'm sure I will have Barney songs in my head for the next week or so

We have these. Multiple sets. And I love them and love the concept. The reason I bought them was because I'd seen one set in person....well the one I saw in person had this plexiglass cover on it to keep all the pieces in there together. But all of the sets I got have NO cover, which is kind of a problem with all the little pieces. I ended up finding little pouches in the travel section 75% off @ T. to keep the pieces in but it is still a pain for 3yo dd to keep everything in the right pouch (because the pieces aren't necessarily compatible from doll to doll.) Buyer beware of that otherwise these are a nice modern version of 'paper dolls.'

I got mine at hallmark free with Q and sale, stashed away and now I have to go see if they have the cover . I love the concept also and paper dolls used to be a fav, them and colorforms .

OH I feel for you gals on the new drivers, I swear it aged me ten years, and I went thru it three times ,and then DH got his motorcycle licence again after letting it lapse at age 23 EEK!

However your courage has been tested with the fight club soooo I have faithlaugh out loud

I hit the jackpot early on at our library for Amazon codes, than ran around to
BCF , and BRU AND WM looking for matchups. So intent on diapes I didn't even shop WM Wink could't get organised in time for my mad dash . Sooo now I'm bleary eyed- disorganised , house is mess but I got blasted diapers, and I'm happy , kind of pathetic :

I have to catch up on what to shop for , missed the mad dash for the Aveeno rats !

Dazzled: Your envie should be there Thursday at the outside

The crocosus are up !!!:

Happy Shopping all

Okay... those of you who shop with kids... are your kids well behaved? Cuz I feel like I can't take my toddler with me. I mean, she's gotten a bit better, but if I don't strap her down with duct tape to the cart and chain her in, she's running around, whining, and generally being a stinker. I think that is part of what is cramping my shopping too - I just can't stand the idea of taking her out to the store. She's too big to sit in that little seat up front, won't sit still in the basket, and if she walks with me she's just driving me crazy by walking too far away or trying to ride under the cart, etc... Those elephant carts are no help because she gets in and out of the straps by herself. Ugh. Am I expecting too much maybe?

shake head Nope. No way, if you want purple pixie hair, go for it. I think the only reason we have more shed dog hair than my hair is because we have three dogs! My pony tail is getting smaller and smaller.

My kids are good as gold at T when I get them the popcorn combo. Strap them in the huge ol' cart, give them their popcorn, and off we go. I get one bag and split it between whichever kids I have with me. Works every time. If popcorn doesn't work, is there another snack she enjoys from the cafe? It will at least buy you a little time. laugh out loud

Define well behaved? My son was always very good. I usually took a blanket, small toys, and a snack and put him in the basket. He would just sit in there and play. One day we were shopping along as usual, he was playing away and being good and apparently I hadn't been paying enough attention to what was going on. I looked down at him and he was stark naked. I had to wander around the store looking and collecting his clothes. But, he was in the cart being good, playing and singing.

I would be very distracted about the no coat thing with snow on the ground. It snowed all day yesterday off and on and again last night most of it is melted now. But it is so freaking cold, I hate being cold, I would spend the whole time thinking about their coats and trying to mentally put coats on them.

me too! i hate cold! i think that's what the problem was, thru most of the movie i was sitting there going i don't believe a whole town of people are walking around w/o coats while it's snowing and there is already snow on the ground, climbing mountains to hunt down the wolf. it was just too unbelievable.

i don't know understand how people can wear shorts all yr long. i saw somebody shoveling snow in shorts. i'd be a popsicle.

Have B babysit every now and again. She's old enough and I'm sure she can be bribed with some swag like my B. laugh out loud

If it weren't for Mini Thrift I would not have the stockpiles that we need. She doesn't always like watching JJ, but she does like the makeup, iTunes GCs, etc that I bring home for her. We have a dry erase board that we list our overage wants on and she puts one thing on it...tights. Umm, sure thing kiddo, that's a piece of cake! Her help is never forgotten or taken for granted.

A courier just stopped by to drop off my Office Depot order. I don't want to be here when FedEx comes. He's gonna hate me!!!! Hide

Give her an item in the aisle for her to get for you ,they love to help and it keeps them focused and if you don't need anything else in the aisle make something up for her to get , keep that pile seperate and you can always remove it later.
No you are not expecting to much, but shopping is boring for kids Cool
Unless it's a toy or something for them. LOL

ETA: She could put her items in the liitle seat where she used to sit and they would be automativally seperated.

i gotta go be productive but i thought this was a funny article-
http://finance.yahoo.com/family-h...-container

btw- i have a costco membership and i never buy any of those things at costco. on a regular basis i buy ling's chicken dumplings, salmon, polly-o cheese sticks and various dried fruit. also rubber gloves as necessary. bff also has a membership and she doesn't buy any of that stuff either. like me she buys food, but massive quantities.

this article misses the main attraction of b&m costco, that it always has new items for a very good price for a very limited time. if you go there once a month, you almost always find some new item that you could use. the next time you go it won't be there anymore. if it did well, they may bring it back. or not.

just don't buy kirkland clothing. sucks!

Nope, just Heidi. We also have Sugar, a golden retriever husky mix. She is technically my daughter's dog. She got her for Christmas when she (DD) was about 10. And we now have my son's Chihuahua. She was a puppy mill rescue that he adopted. Because, you know, when you live in an apartment, work, go to school, and have the social life of a 23 year single male -- you NEED a dog.

I used to do that all the time, but she would throw a fit at the check out so I used that to bribe her with when leaving. Maybe I need some other strategy. Like bananas or something - popcorn in the store, bananas as we leave... Something...
