I'm glad your MRI didn't involve a tumor. Cold

Thanks for the info on the crown. Still tossing around what to do about it. *sigh*

As for the TMJ - I will have to dig up the paperwork and see exactly what the procedure is called but I want to say it is arthrocentesis/arthroscopy. It used to be very invasive and a big ordeal (open jaw surgery or something), but the one they are doing on my DD now is where they will make some small incisions around her ear/joint and insert the instruments. Then they'll scrape and flush it out, get rid of inflammation and excess fluids, move the disc back, etc... There is a slight possibility that they may have to change to the open jaw surgery (which would be very bad/longer recovery), but we'll see.

Now, from what I understand they can often do some things like mouth guards and exercises to fix it, etc... DD's is pretty bad though - to the point she has a hard time eating and her jaw locks up.
Thank you for the info!! I did get a mouth brace, and have tried that. I do believe it helped some. The dentist actually didn't charge me for it, since he was interested to see if it would help. (at $450 for what looks like whitening trays, I was reluctant, so he said he would get them for me for nothing. Which is UNHEARD of, I know. Very nice young dentist who wanted to see if he could help me out, since my crown had caused so much pain before.)

and, thank you for the MRI well wishes. I must say, I was scared out of my gageebers..... so, glad at least that part is over.

hug Medical tests are never fun - especially when you aren't sure of the results!

It's amazing what dental stuff costs. The doc's fee after our insurance is going to be around $1500. That's only his fee - not the hospital fee. Frown Ugh. The only consolation is that he's the best around. He wouldn't even take DD without reviewing her info first - I guess he's so sought after that he now picks and chooses his patients. So in one way, good for DD since she's in the best hands - but that also means it's pretty bad. They said they can't remember when they've seen anyone as bad as her around her age (14) - usually it's mid 20's or older.

To figure out if she needed the surgery, she had to get an MRI scan done. It was kind of neat to see the pictures - and now they put them on disk instead of an x-ray sheet. It's amazing what they can find out and do now.

laugh out loud I remember when I accidentally discovered that too.

And I may need to try that cranberry kiss - not usually a fan of coconut, but I'm developing a taste for it lately.

I had a sangria for the first time ever on Friday. Now that was something splendid too. It was also a good thing I was not driving. 1 drink = swervy *walking* me (can't imagine driving...)

I feel like it is taking me 3 hours to type.

And my neighbors are about to make me go bonkers. They constantly fight and scream and are all drama all the time. It sounds like they are slamming doors and rolling down the steps. The wall shakes. They say it's their "thing" to fight (which is a stupid "thing" if you ask me), but it's getting ridiculous - especially at night. They also have a friend that brings their boxer or some other mean looking dog over and lets it roam the neighborhood growling and snapping at everyone. I think next time I see it out we'll call animal control. It went after my oldest (which she didn't mention until way to much after the fact Bonk ). Grr.

How do I find out if a $10 has been used? I did 3 orders and had 4 $10 codes and didn't take not of which one I did not use.

Send me you addy and I will get Beauty Book Qs to you.
I have been checking my codes by making a new acct and adding a Kindle to it and then proceeding to check out. If your code has not been redeemed you will get a message somthing like 'sorry the promo code you enterd can not be applied to this purchase' if it has already been redeemed then you will get a message letting you know that the code has already been redeemed.

This method of checking codes has been flawless for me, I have tried it after placing an order and staying logged in and then using that same code on a new acct to make another order. Or you can make the new acct first and check the code. Since the kindle is electronics amazon will not accept the code. Be warned though there are other people that have said checking the code against a kindle will ruin it. I don't see how but ... maybe? I have placed many orders and never had the kindle ruin a single code. The day I got the ticket I found a few codes and was thinking wahoo, at least that makes me feel better, but they were already redeemed Sadwalk

Well, I am sorry to hear she has such a bad case of it, but thrilled that you are able to have a great doctor/surgeon working on her. That can be priceless. I definitely agree about the crazy costs though. Dental and Medical seem to be getting more and more out of hand. I am sure I will be in for quite a surprise when I get all of my bills too.

As for the MRI,.... I am not sure if your daughter was more prepared than me. They gave me the choice to have the MRI in the typical tube, or in an Open Upright environment. I chose the open one, since they said, it was "cool, and you can watch tv" while having the MRI. Well, I had no idea that it was as loud as someone running a jackhammer over my head for 50 minutes. Silly me.... thought I would just sit there in a nice quiet environment and watch tv. LMAO

Again, thank you for all of the information, and my best wishes to your daughter.

I absolutely despise coconut vomit but for some reason this drink was soooo good. And it comes out a light shade of pink so very girly....not sure what the ratio is, but I think I will try to find out soon!!

And just ran into deals for a second to see what craziness is going on and contempress posted someone bought $1000 of jeans and paid $35!!!!!!!!!!!EEK! Are you freaking kidding me??!! My store wouldn't even let that person use more than 2 .... where do these people come from and why don't the cashiers freak out???

Oh and then someone posted a few posts later....what's wrong with that?? Really??? OMG people are insane!!!

Our downstairs renters were like that, all drama, all. the. time. Thank goodness we finally got them OUT! Finally! They called the cops on each other every other month. Their fighting would shake out house, not to mention we could hear it. I agree so STUPID! Once I just had to put my ear to the vent and listen, I just wondered what the heck they always fought about. It was the most retarded fight ever. All he screaming over and over was "Are you gonna f&^$*&ing walk or f%*&*&^ing talk?" and all she kept saying was "What the f#* do you f#*&*&^ing want David? We already f#&&ing had this f#&%ing conversation." That was it! Over and over the same thing yelling at each other while she was packing and they were throwing stuff at each other and whatever else making the walls shake with doors slamming all over the place. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Have you ever made muscadine jelly? Lots of work but it is good. It's been several years since I made it and no longer have a recipe but it was a little tart and not so sweet like some jellies are.

Oh, got some of the Wags Beauty Books if you still need coupons from them.

Anyone else need these?
I had to look up muscadine. Sounds interesting. As for the wine, has anyone tried the chocolate wine they had out around Valentine's Day? I was thinking of getting some for my sister.

Is this the one with the diaper Q (or is that another book)?
Quote from HDDVDTV :
It is another book.

Let me check for that one tomorrow.

I'll check tomorrow for the baby one and get it and the beauty in the mail if I find it.

Have fun with that wine.
I was just at a store close to me that had some of the infant care books tonight. They had a stack of about 12 of them on the beauty counter. So I could pick some up if anyone still needs them.

Does anyone use one of those small chest freezers, like they have at Target or Sam's club for $139 - $189? I was thinking of getting one. I have an old upright that was invented before electricity.... Still runs... but...

LOTS of frozen food on clearance at Walgreens.
The other day I got some banquet pot pies for 32 cents each. I like those things sometimes. Today I got some Taquitos for 75 cents. I got pints of Wags vanilla ice cream for 57 cents. Some French Bread Pizza for 25 cents. And I got my friend's daughter some Starbucks Caramel Macchiato ice cream for $1.29.

I have still been eating lots of Target Veggies. I really like the Archer Farms steam in the bag American Blend veggies. The ones that were 98 cents.

I am not a brussel sprout person by nature... but I cooked some of those in a crock pot in orange juice instead of water - and WoW! They were GOOD!

Morning Wave quiet in here today.. Sipping some coffee and trying to wake up. I took a nap yesterday afternoon and couldn't go back to sleep until 2:30 last night. DD woke up to potty at 6 and never went back to sleep. I put her in my bed, but gave up after 45 minutes of her talking.. She finally kept saying "it's light outside mommy.. not sleep time" SO, here I am Smilie

I have one of the small chest freezers. It used to be my mom's. It was just her and she bought a small one to use. When she passed away, we took it and have been using it for the last few years. It is better than nothing, but I hate the way things end up in the bottom and to find anything, I need to take everything out. In the fall, I found a deal on a big upright from CL.. I totally heart it.. My plan was to just use the upright, but I have never managed to empty the other one yet. And with the target frozed food deal a few weeks ago, all of my freezers are stuffed.
The small chest freezers are far better than nothing, and are the cheapest option.. and if you don't have alot of stuff, they are okay.. But, in my opinion, don't compare to an upright at all. I love being able to open the door of the upright and see exactly what is in there and easily find it. Of course, sometimes the treasure hunt of my chest freezer can be fun.. When I was looking for something last week, I found a couple of steaks and packs of chicken I had no idea were in there laugh out loud

Okay Ank - As a good SDer, you gotta have some chocolate somewhere laugh out loud
I tell ya, it is no wonder I gained 30 pounds after I started slick dealing.. The candy deals seem to be around every corner. I have taken huge bags of candy to the candy dish at work for the last 3 weeks in a row. I keep thinking it must be almost gone, but then I find more.
I cleaned out the closet last night, and I found 4 of the huge bags of mixed chocolates that target had on a GC deal around Halloween.. Plus, I found Halloween, Christmas, and even valentines day M&M;s Embarrassment Not to mention, big bags of hershey kisses, reeses cups, and all kinds of individual candy bars from CVS. I have an entire grocery bag of full size bars of various candy from CVS deals.. I haven't really eaten chocolate in almost 9 months now since I started dieting, and the kids will get into the stash from time to time, but they look for mostly the non chocolate stuff..

For Christmas stockings, I didn't have to buy anything.. I just used Halloween candy.. I told DH, I have tons of candy to donate to the egg hunt at church for Easter.. and our Easter baskets should be well stocked tooBig Grin
