Now, that sounds like a deal to me!

If you own your home, it sure wouldn't hurt to see what it would take to get yours licensed. Can you think any restaurants that don't open until dinner? Maybe you could buy some time in the mornings. Or vice versa, maybe someplace that is only open for breakfast and lunch and you could get evening time.
Yeah... we rent (and have a dog.) Our landlord is very relaxed and wouldn't have an issue, but our kitchen is not up to any of the codes. It's very very strict here.

My sister and I make cookie bouquets, we have looked into getting licensed but in MN there are too many hoops. Some states allow you to bake right out of your home, MN was not one of them Frown
Ohio was one of those easy states. A little bit of money, fill out some paperwork, they come visit your kitchen 1-2 x a year to make sure it's clean and you are keeping foods and whatnot stored properly, and you're done.

I do think I will talk with DH and see if we could find a place where I could "rent" the kitchen. I *think* there may even be some churches around with licensed kitchens. Of course, this will naturally occur in all my spare time when I'm not online goofing off, teaching kids at home, pretending to clean house, etc... You know... in those extra 15 hours a day we all have hiding in the storage closet. laugh out loud

I've done that with cheesecake too! Big Grin Yummmyyyy. My biggest problem is finding an approved kitchen to work out of - great idea about the farmer's market though. We have one downtown now, and various little ones around the area. I will have to keep that in mind.

Oooo... And where would one be spending these coupons??
(ETA: on their website they have a store locater - imagine that... looks like Target and Earth Fare around here. Anyone have experience with Earth Fare? I've rarely ever shopped there and never with coupons. Frown )

I swear I multi-quoted more stuff. *sigh*

Missed the WM drama, eh? Ah well.

That sucks.. Frown It is like that here too. Our adjoining state even has tons of rules about selling prepackaged foods.

I can't play. I have a low tolerance to alcohol and can't drink that much...

I can get drunk on communion...

I am a friendly drunk though.... I sit on my own lap...

Good evening meanie twatomlette's. How is everyone?

Went around to a few stores today and found some clearance kitchen stuff. Got me a chopper, juicer, and can't remember what else. Found lots of stationary (mostly crayola) things on clearance and took them all so noone else could have any. Then I strolled back through and found these cute pans that make cute little animal things. They were also 75% off. That damn popcorn maker was still holding out at 50 and yes I scanned it. I wanna buy it just to return it with my receipt from when I got it for DH for like 89 bucks.

Then I had to take the kids to McD's for the bazillionth time. Makena shit her pants about three times today. I swear I'm about to lose it.

Guess I need to go see what is up with the cupcake maker!

Ank I know a woman who started at a NoVa farmer's market. Her business was in Fredericksburg, and called it Cheesecake Farms (my white chocolate cheesecake is her recipe, but I use a different crust. she mainly used pound cake crumbs for her crust). She supplied several DC area businesses with cheesecakes and sold to the public. She bought an old house and fixed it up to standards for commercial kitchen and then brought in two huge outside walk in freezers (about good shed size) that held her cheesecakes frozen, but by then they were on parchment, already sliced with parchment between each slice, wrapped in plastic bags and then a sturdy pizza looking box but cheesecake size.

She never sold a cracked cheesecake, but made cheesecake truffles from them - Heavenly! Small golf ball sized scoops of cheesecake, frozen hard as rocks, then dipped in chocolate (white or dark) and then topped with something so you knew which flavor it was. One of my favorite gifts to VERY good friends was either the sampler cheesecake (you get to pick up to 6 flavors, 2 slices of each... to make 12 slices) or the truffle sampler.

Slayers locked the WM thread? I didn't think it got THAT rough in there while I was reading.
Please tell me she is still here and still in business. drool

Get Carpet cleaner like the Bissell or Hoover. They work great on bare floors as well as carpet and the brushes will get into the grout. I have had both at different time for several years each and currently have one of each. My preference is the Bissell however, the Hoover works well also.

The Bissell has an actual hard wood floor attachment but I didn't have it and it still worked fine and sucked all the water up off my hardwood floors. I think it just kind of extends the sucker end a bit so it's tighter to a flat floor.
i just found this one 50% for 64.50 off at target today and don't know if i should keep it. there are no reviews online and what's weird is that it's not on amazon or target.com
http://www.hoover.com/product.asp...0&ds=false

however, this one has an amazing amt of reviews. i don't think i've ever seen this many b4!
http://www.amazon.com/Hoover-Stea...326&sr=1-1

what do you guys think? should i keep el cheapo?

i also found this blender 75% off and just checked reviews. it's going back!
http://www.amazon.com/Black-Decke...roduct_top

what's w/ the crappy products? i last month i found this one 50% off, checked reviews and back it went also!
http://www.amazon.com/Oster-BLSTA...65&sr=1-52

costco has also been carrying products that haven't been getting the best reviews for awhile also. they used to always carry the good stuff. not so much anymore.

what about a vfw hall? don't know if they would have a licensed kitchen. they are always looking to rent their place out to raise money. you can find a hall here-
http://www.vfw.org/oms//findpost.aspx

or maybe a grange hall?

hey look, i found a website, but they don't have much for your state-
http://www.commercialkitchenforre...-42-0.html

this one has 2 in the whole state-
http://www.culinaryincubator.com/...p?state=TN

probably also depending on your state, you may have to take a class on food handling, etc. my friend's sister was really gung ho at one point on making a chimichurri sauce to sell and looked into renting a licensed kitchen also.

i volunteer to be a taste tester also!

Nice.. I would like to get the chicken nuggets.. Hmm, haven't we had a coupon like that before. Seems like I remember getting free puffs from target when my DD was really into them before.

A cupcake maker? No, was one on clearance? Ugh. I bought these molds for cake that are like ice cream cones. Then you can either scoop ice cream on top, whip cream, or even frosting, and then put sprinkles on them. I'm so waiting for Makena's birthday to do it. Her birthday is in June so perfect time for a big ice cream princess party.

Oh, I also got an ice cream maker or ice cream holder or something barrell shaped that has ice cream pictures on it. I also found some big ass pyrex box 50% off for 16.xx but I only saw it at one store. Also found all those car tool things 75% off like straps and bungee cords. Stocked up for DH. We use those for all kinds of things. Evil

Good morning everyone. I don't post here often, mostly in deals, because I just can't keep up - you guys are a riot. I have a sad situation. My DH sister just told us she is about to have a baby, like within a couple of weeks. No one has seen her for a couple of years, cause she is a meth head (we are all just praying for a healthy baby, but ?????). We are not sure what's going to happen with this baby cause she has in the past been in and out of jail. Says doesn't want to give it up and that she's clean, but I have seen the battle with meth before, I just hope she is strong enough (I have talked to lawyer friend and getting everything together now in case I need to file for temp custoday cause other meth head sister filed restraining order against DH mother and she would be denied - meth is evil). I have gotten a few things rounded up, highchair, crib, pack n play, stroller - but desparately need an infant car seat. I called hospital where she probably deliver and said that they sometimes have a car seat to give, but they can't guarantee one. And they won't let her leave without one. Any ideas? I know a lot of you in here are preggers, so I thought I would ask here. Also I have 3 of the $10 amazon codes, but have no idea how to use them or where to even begin!!!!!

I don't think the Walmart thread got that rough. But I am not sure because I left and went shopping...
But LOTS of posts were deleted.
Slayers was particularly kind in the way the thread was closed though. So most likely, it didn't get that rough... but just got closed before it did.. Just a guess though. But I have never seen slayers be that nice when locking a thread.
Slayers was VERY nice. And I don't think the thread got that rough, although it does appear that a good majority of the posts that got deleted were mine. Confused It was nothing compared to the T thread at times!
