I don't know if this helps, but last time I calculated it was about 20% for me to sell on ebay, (listing an item+final value fee) combined with rec'g paypal payments (about 4% of the total). Ebay keeps changing their fee structure, but in essence, it's an apprx # to go with to see if it's worth your time/energy, etc.

I've been on eBay for a long time, so can also help if needed. What I would recommend is that you spend some time in their community forums, read the Seller Central discussion board. I did that for quite a while before jumping in and sellling. It made things very smooth, as I understood it all. You will read about a lot of problems sellers have and know about all the options you can set up. There's a shipping forum, and many others and they are full of experts and idiots just like everywhere, but you will learn a lot in there.

I also think that I have too many Gain dryer sheets. I'm sitting in the dining room with a candle burning next to me, yet all I can smell is Gain (which are in the kitchen closet).
The only thing that comes to mind is HW and Kmart during the days of the $5 coupon. Then it was just called being Kmart smart.
